Its unreal how good this album is, as we near the end of the golden age hearing some of these songs brings so much nostalgia from my first Mcat compilation

Puppets house style was on another level really wish he’d go back to that style like literally no one will be able to top his house stuff, the fire is literal perfection best song on the label and one of the best edm songs ever written, definitely payed of for eden since he got big soon after

Legends will always be a classic to me even though nobody else feels the same

This is my favorite compilation ever in the history of the label. THAT'S what I consider to be the peak performance of all artists involved and for the very own label itself. I miss this era so fucking much, honestly... I'd give everything for it to come back again, literally everything

Man, I'm a sucker for moody glitch hop and B min and Inetria and Full Circle are clear examples of those and some of the best on the compilation

ah, the glitch hop album probably in my top 3 favorite compilations because ive listened to it so much, my favorites being inertia, genesis, and possibly fairytaler

Does anyone know what happened to puppet? I know he still releases on his own but he kinda just silently left the label and I wanna the story behind it. I know for Eden he moved on to bigger and better things props to him

unfortunately, deya is ruined for me for a very prominent reason, as nice as it is it always brings back bad memories. it really sucks, but at least televisor has other really great tracks.

Saiko isn't even original, the concept is basically Internet Friends by Knife Party with drops stolen from Grindhouse by Botnek

Another classic, slightly overshadowed by 021. An album with all genres... Almost. It also marks the end of an era, as some artists made their last hurrah here. Bustre, Soulero, you are DEARLY missed =(. 30) San Holo - Victory Never was a huge San Holo fan, even b4 he blew up. This might be my least favorite track of his, ever. 29) Stonebank - The Entity Overrated AF. That "spooky" vibe and the drop do nothing for me. It also doesn't sound as cohesive as Moving On or Blast From the Past. 28) Grabbitz - Friends The title track being the weakest song of the EP was a it unexpected. The drop is just standard trap, I expect more from Grabbitz. 27) SW - Difference Between Us & Aliens Bass? Who's that? He doesn't work here. It sounds like he had fun making this, but coming off Dads In Space... A letdown. 26) Aero Chord - Saiko Found it situational and ironically enjoyable as a teen, find it obnoxious now. Fuck this guy. 25) F.O.O.L. - Knight Don't like most of their material,post-Throne, it's just ok. 24) Razihel - Legends Pretty memorable chorus, but the drop is almost laughably bad, in comparison to his 2014 highs. 23) Puppet & Eden - The Fire The most overrated old-school on MC ever? At this point Puppet's house kind of started to sound the same. Never cared for Eden's performance here, the drop melody is nothing special, either. 22) F.O.O.L. - Fairytaler Lukewarm melodic dubstep, so nothing bad, but nothing too memorable. 21) Rich Edwards - We Are Standard house from Edwards, nothing else to add. 20) Hellberg - Back2You The Girl is tough to follow up, but I still find this too tame for Hellberg standards. 19) Rezonate - Rebirth I'm just not a big fan of his newer stuff. It's pretty decent Glitch Hop, but this needs more punch. 18) Grabbitz - Way Too Deep Grabbitz's vocals are getting better & I like the atmosphere of the whole song much better than Friends. 17) Tristam x Karma Fields - Empire of Sound Interesting take on Build the Cities. Both are good in their own right, I just never opt to listen to it. 16) Savoy & Sound Remedy - Leaving You Loved it religiously, but it's a bit too basic & the drop melody isn't strong enough to carry the song. 15) Hyper Potions - Porta Vista Their most iconic song, imo. When I think of HP, I think of this one. Simple, innocent, quirky and fun. 14) Noisestorm - Barracuda I like the vibe of it and the start of the drop is great, but this song drags A LOT. 13) Eminence & Soulero - Invisible Solid way to go out. Really stopped when he was at his best. 12) San Holo - Hold Fast Maybe his best song on the label. 11) Excision & PBN - Bring the Madness (Noisestorm Remix) Doesn't exceed the original, but it still slaps hard. 10) Varien - Aether and Light Very oriental sounding. The atmosphere is what makes this track special. My only criticism is that it could be a bit punchy. 9) Direct - Memory Calm Direct just isn't for you, I guess. This is perfect for relaxing, man. Holly's performance could be better, though. 8) Stonebank - The Pressure I actually listen to this more than Stronger. Peak happy hardcore from Stonebank. 7) Draper - Inertia His first take on Glitch Hop and he totally nailed it. The last drop switch-up is also great. 6) PBN - Try This Nerd. Pegboard Nerd. Even as a gimmick this slaps hard and it hasn't aged at all. 5) Protostar - Genesis One of his best works. It's up there with Chrysalis, Scorpion Pit VIP and No Turning Back. 4) Televisor - Deya First Indie Dance Televisor song on the label and it slaps. That whole EP is sublime. 3) Volant - Full Circle I miss Volant. 2/2 classics in a row that actually stood the test of time is quite rare. Love the jazzy vibes and the cheerful melodies. 2) Trivecta - Evaporate Might be his best work on MC. The trance-y drop is sth I wish he did more. That Progressive House drop, though... 10/10 1) Bustre - Combine Bustre did a Bolt Thrower: decided to quit releasing (on MC) after releasing the magnum opus. It still sounds so fresh, so many layered details in melodies that I discover with every re-listen. And that jazzy ending! Chef's kiss, 11/10
