Your taste is shared by many sensitive people who spite dont get the lírics at first, they saw her potential straightaway and that so wonderfull elements and ethnic things she brings to the performance. I'm a little scared because I think this year is going to be very surprising for the whole fandom. We have the semifinals without a "professional jury" this year and I'm afraid that only with televoting some high quality songs will be lost along the way 🥺. We also have the addition of the vote called "rest of the world" (I don't know if this will also be for the semifinals) and I am intrigued to know if that vote will coincide with the European vote and how much weight it will have in the final result. I might fall hard maybe, but I just don't share the same concern everyone else has with Spain Aside from Spanish people, the studio cut in itself has been instantly a favorite to me and many international fans and the live performance elevates it to 1000. Juries will throw them some points just for vocal excellence and staging alone, and a lot of viewers do appreciate that as well, and I don't rlly recall a lot of perfectly executed ethnic songs being ignored by the televote in the past few years. What I DO recall is "perfectly fine" generic "BOPS" like Quiero Arder flopping in the grand final (El Diablo)

As a Slovenian never have I ever thought that we would be getting so much praise for our Eurovision entry, let alone that it being made by people that attended the same school as me. Joker Out have conquered Slovenia in a massive way so it’s not exactly surprising that they’re bringing quality.

My TOP5 in whatever order: Slovenia ... Intelligent modern jazzy sound with clever guitar reefs Latvia ... I like this mix of different genres very much Croatia ... Best staging ever and it's not even close, only punks from Croatia can troll both Putin and Eurovision staging and one must love them for that Czechia ... another intelligent mix of genres with best clip and message behind France ... this modern funky is growing on me Other honorable mentions: Malta, Belgium. I'm manifesting Latvia being in the final, my luck can't fail me now. Also random but I am not keen on what Albania's studio version sounds like and I hope they don't make it fully like that. It kills the drama for me. I want to be hopeful though so let's hope it comes together.

agree with a lot of this actually. some comments (sorry its a tad long lol) -I was thinking the other day about people like "wow this is a weak year for esc" and even tho it's normal for eurofans to say that this time of esc season, I kept thinking to myself "you sure about that?? we have some good songs here" and then i realized my instinct is probably to look more at how many songs I get emotionally attached to when measuring the strength of a year rather than overall quality XD. As a whole (so far of course) it does seem more like 2020 now I think about it, not weak I wouldn't say but a bit more midtable than (what i feel at least) the overall quality of years like 2015 and 2016 (neither i think of as my favorite years lol) -Albania has all the qualities I love about Balkan ballads for me on paper but its just....missing something for me? IDK the revamp could really make or break it imo. -Aija is THE most underrated song so far (from what ive seen and my opinion lol) and I'm so worried for it come may. It's in a joint tie for my first place along with Czechia right now and if Latvia is screwed over by the running order (and if its too lowkey for people/beginning pushes too many people away/etc) this may be my first winner to NQ and I'm not ready (luckily I have 2, or potentially 4 winners if cha cha cha and luke black make it through XD) -Also if the live performance is good (which is apparently being done by the same guy who directed the music video so I have a good feeling on this) I can fully see us going to Prague for 2024 and they would deserve it! -Spain can and should win the jury vote. Alesia, I'd say France is a massive grower so a few more listens are needed to really love the studio version. Don't know how the lack of instant factor will play at ESC but with the audience in Liverpool I'm sure this is coming top 5 especially if it performs at the end of the final!

Hello! This year's approach to ESC is pretty unusual to me. I haven't heard any song (really NO one!) besides the one from my own Country, which is Italy, and the fact that our beloved Marco hasn't confirmed the song yet still keeping me in a limbo, so to speak. I'm just getting ideas out of your and others Top 10 but I really can only say that I would love for Marco Mengoni to leave for Liverpool with "Due Vite" well packed in 3 minutes. It can be done. I'd say my Top 10 1 Czechia 2 Ukraine 3 Slovenia 4 Spain 5 Norway 6 France 7 Malta 8 Latvia 9 Lithuania 10 Estonia Just missing out Albania (but could be a grower, especially with a good staging by Sasha Jean-Baptiste), Denmark (maybe it needs to get more jazzed up and energetic), Croatia (I like the staging and the message, but their singing style isn't my cup of tea) and Romania (song is OK, could be more energetic, but I'm not a fan of the staging, women in lingerie should be left in the 2000s, although the fact that male dancers are shirtless makes it slightly better than performances were only females are dressing sexy,) No Belgium (definitely the better one of my no songs, that's it) and Ireland (superboring, sounds like U2, the most boring band imho) Non existent Italy (they're probably changing their song, so I won't be rating their 1st effort)

Ok, I'm Spaniard so I'm supposed to agree with that personal list. I'd put Norway or France in second place though but I live at the French border so maybe I am a bit biased by the language and among both the nordic entry fits slighly better into Eurovision.

my little review to every song, from ukraine Spain - majestic, current, this is proto and post at the same time, next new flamenco music, oh gosh - this minimal electronic details SOOO clever, like you fall from the moon to earth and fire into ashes trough atmosphere, the whole sound wall, THE VISUALS - it goes deep into every cell of your body, i hope this is going to win, she is so organic and raw in what she is doing, profound, spain 2024 that's all, who's gonna say now that Eurovision it's a contest of freaks and cheesy music, Eurovision it's about high art also, 10/10 Ukraine - it reminds me early Weeknd music, or James Ferrero, spooky, also minimalistis in a good but commercial way, thick bass, like a liquid that penetrates through all the cracks into room in a slomo or watching the explosion (just like in a clip) My honest opinion - it does not really need to be epic, it based on visuals so you have to concentrate your attention mostly on what you see, i don't really remember that quality of rnb of early 2010-s and the same time very modern, not another rag'n'borne copy, 9/10 Slovenia - YES! The youth anthem, i wish i would catch the moment of fully living now and only like them, it's grown on me everytime, they now how to behave on the stage, like playful kittens - also very pleaseant to watch, and that vibe and energy + native language, i'm getting more and more obsessed, hope for the best result to slovenia since 2011 (?) - 9/10 Czechia - powerfull and descent, as ukrainian - message to me questionable, BUT let it be - time will respond - like a spoiled milk or like fine wine, pros - folk background, many languages, dynamic, 8,5/10 Norway - anthemic, simple to connect with, has a really big chances to blow up even more in Liverpool, or even win (at least by televoters) 8/10 Latvia - intellectual song, which i like, but i don't really see the viewers get it, 7/10 Denmark - yes he is industry plant, he is not even lookin as a real person, which i find like somethin fresh to Eurovision because i don't really remember artists like that at the contest, so we have to chance to crack that vocaloid-artificial-k-pop shell, the song is radio-friendly and catchy, so sweet and overproduced that i even like it more for a reason lol, 8/10 Albania - passionate, yet predictable from Albania, 6/10 Malta - funky, but i really hate Bruno Mars style, sorry, 3/10 Lithuania - it's hard to me to be honest with lady Linkyte, i'm still mad for juries to be that inconsistent - firstly you give all the highest points to Ruta, and than suddenly Monica is better. And Monica also i don't get - you are literally the top-female singer in Lithuania, you were at Eurovision, this song is really weak...from the other hand Ruta with astonishing synthwave album "Prime Time" unbelieveble tone of voice, the queer diva that Liverpool needed but didn't get, it could be really quality and something new from Lithuania, want to forget about Lithuania's participation at contest at all, 2/10
