I’d be curious to see the gold shade included in each palette swatched next to each other- never realized until now she always seems to include a token gold shade!
Omg I'm trying to think who did that because yes there's a gold in all the palettes but they are very different. They all are so different. I'm going to try and figure out which one did that. I was even shocked because some really look like they may be close but it fooled me. She does amazing on gold but then again what doesn't she do excellent?
The RU-vidr called *Fox does Makeup* did this when she reviewed the Huetopian dream palette. The golds are very different and beautiful, and it was helpful to see.

My favorite is Mothership I Subliminal. I love the cool tones and the blitz astral shades are to die for. The two on the end are my favorite blitz astral shades out of all the ones I own. Also the fact that my boyfriend who knows absolutely nothing about makeup went by himself and bought it for me for Christmas one year makes it forever my favorite. My number two is definitely Divine Rose I. It’s so beautiful and I get a ton of use out of it.
I've been doing my eyes first for a while now and I can't imagine doing my makeup any other way. I love PM eyeshadows. They are amazing and worth the quality. She also does amazing sales. Mother ship II was the one that I fell in love with first and it grew from there.
Just got Sublime for Black Friday too! It was my first big Pat McGrath purchase and I love it! The color scheme is so unique but so me and still wearable. Loved seeing your ranking!
Mothership III Subversive is my favorite and pairs beautifully with Divine Rose. For me, the most unique "special" shades are in that palette. Congrats on your bonus palettes!
What a coincidence, I just used the Celestial Divinity today! I did a burgandy/berry look. My guess for #1 is Divine Rose 1, and #2 is Midnight Sun...??? We'll see! Edit: I was right! And I guess you don't own Midnight Sun.... I think you would actually really like it. It's a little understated for Mother Pat, which means it's pretty versatile. I think it would really suit your style!
Divine RoseI is the only large palette I own because it was so wearable that I could justify the price. I got a 10% discount when it launched, but honestly I would have paid full price.
Hi Jena, my favorite is Mothership I. You can create so many sultry looks with it. Once it was released there were not many cool toned palettes out there. Nowadays there are more options for cool tones but this palette still stays as one of the best one, in my opinion.
Hi Jena!! My favorite PM palette is also Divine Rose 1 and it is my first Mothership palette!! I also own Divine Rose Decadence but like you, it's not one I wear a lot. I love the sublime palette and just purchased it on the sale...I love that emerald green color! Still playing with the Celestial Divinity palette....so many colors!! That one will be a work in progress for me, but it is beautiful!! I love the ranking of your palettes...you did such a good job of reviewing each one and I enjoyed your recommendations....I know now what I'm looking for next...thank you!! Xxx💕xxx

My favorite is definitely the Mothership 6. I l know not a lot of people liked that one, but I just really love earthy tones. And the purple on that palette is just absolutely magical! ❤️

Hi Jena! This was such a good video. Of all the Mothership palette, the Midnight Sun color story calls to me the most. Have you tried that palette in the past and decluttered it? I don't recall! Anyways, I am SO happy with the Celestial Divinity Luxe Quad I got from your recommendation during the VIB sale at the beginning of November. I agree, it's totally a stand alone palette! Haha, I love reckon. Your top one was also my first and only PM palette. I am still trying to figure out how to get some looks out of it. I am not that proficient at my shadow application, but I am glad that I chose this palette and I got it 25 dollars off so that made me happy! Thank you for this video. Totally agree about Bronze Seduction. I would’ve personally rated it lower. My experience was not great. Beautiful special shades but the rest not worth it. I sent it right back to Auntie Pat. Love my Divine Rose I and II. Looking to purchase some other older Motherships as well. Great vid as always Jena 👍🏾
I just bought the bronze seduction yesterday and Im so disappointed with the bronze and taupe shade. Theyre so dry and barely shows up. Feels like it has hard pan. Im looking to replace it with divine rose 1. Is the formula much better?
@@annamariajohnson ughh those two shades in particular sealed the deal for me as far as returning it. I think I know what Pat was trying to achieve with those shades but it’s just not for me. I ordered Divine Rose I maybe a week after Bronze Seduction and was so happy. I even use it far more than Divine II. Mostly due to the fact that the color story works for everyday wear for me, but also the formula literally blends itself meaning less time in the mirror each morning. The metallics/shimmers/satin shades are much better in my opinion than those two shades in Bronze Seduction. It’s an ‘A’ for me! 👌🏾
@@janisaacs809 i agree! I replaced bronze seduction with divine rose 1! They are worlds apart with pigmentation and formula!!! Love my divine rose. I wish bronze seduction had the same formula coz i love the special shades they have.
I recently picked up Sublime and I love it! I think it’s very underrated, the satins are so nice for a one and done type look but I actually love sheering them out as transition shades! It’s refreshing to see someone choose something other than bronze seduction as their number one or two even though I think it’s beautiful 😆

I completely agree with the Devine Rose 1! I love that palette so much I ordered the LE pink packaging even though I had the black version already. I just really love that palette. It can go to just a soft and gentle look to fierce! I just really enjoy it and I enjoy it way more than the DR2 but I will use all my rose palettes to make a look that is divine!! lol
I love the subliminal mothership palette! That’s got to be my #1 It’s a mixture of perfect cool-toned browns and spaceship blues 🚀 , super beginner friendly and very versatile. I use one of the browns as a brow powder and the iridescent blue as a highlighter; I have so much love for this palette and I think you’d love it too if you ever wanted to finish your collection ❤️
I own one PM pallet- They are well worth the money! The shades blend so effortlessly- the pigments are gorgeous- tip for ppl- use After pay to break up the payments when you purchase one- it makes it a little easier on the wallet! ❤️
I don’t own any Pat McGrath palettes currently. However, I have been eyeing the Devine Rose 1 palette since it came out. I just managed to get a $100 Sephora rewards card so I am going to order this palette for myself for Christmas. I am so excited to see it made the number one spot.
I only have one of her mini 5-pan palettes (Eye Ecstasy, $14 on sale woohoo!) but it sure is fun to live vicariously through your beautiful collection :)
I only have two PML , my first and favorite is also yours- Divine Rose 1. I fell in love with the formula and then purchased Subliminal, another one I love because it is so different rom DR1. I think my third one will be Bronze Seduction if I can get it the next time there is a sale. Since that may not be for a while it gives PMc a chance to come out with a new one. I prefer the larger palettes because they seem to have more mattes which I do use daily. With older eyes I need to be judicious with those lovely shimmery shades.Thank you for a great video- very enjoyable. K a sub from NJ
I’m just seeing this video (shame on me!) and I have to say, your eyeshadow is just gorgeous! I was researching Pat’s palettes and when I clicked on your video I said Jena’s eye look is so beautiful today!! You’re beautiful everyday but this eye look is right up my alley!!😍
I love bolder looks. So I love subversive and nocturnal nirvana. I do love the celestial divinity holiday palette. I just bought decadence and sublime but I just got them yesterday. I feel like her special shades and like wet looking metallics are my favourite. Nothing else I own comes close. I will say that if you can pick up flower beauty and get the jungle lights, a couple of these come close to the pat mcgrath shades. All in all I can see myself collecting all the motherships slowly and becoming a PM collector her shadows in my opinion are truly special.
If you like cool tone, I think you will enjoy mothership 1. I’m playing with it and I’m quite into it. Both divine rose mothership pans are so beautiful! You may find DR 2 more enjoyable at times. ❤
Well then I feel really good that Divine Rose I was my pick for my first Mothership 💕 I bought it earlier this year on sale for $100 US and I love it. I am very pale, so it was a color story I knew I would use without being intimidated
I am so happy you did this. I got divine rose gifted to me. I won (Morgan Turner) and I bought the plastic ones the 5 shades and the plant I I’m bronze I bought. I don’t have any more. I do love the formula

Thank you for this thorough ranking The only surprise is how low the nocturnal nirvana ranked. It has such beautiful formulas that it ranks higher for me than the motherships 1 and 2. My number 1 is the DR/2 combo because i always use them together, the 1 being a bit too warm to use on its own, and the 2 being too glam to use on its own. Thanks again.

The palette I'm wanting from PML next is the sublime I think that's the name the large one with the shifty dark green. I don't have a large collection tho anyways, I only have her 2 DR1&2 and the blitz Astral quad Ritualistic Rose. Yeah the rose quad from last yr hit sephora for like a sec lmbo. The bronze seduction was my major want but the sublime knocked it out of the running. Lol
Rose Decadence is my least favorite, too. I grabbed it during the Sephora sale because divine rose 2 surprised me by being my favorite palette. I thought this would compliment it well. It doesn’t perform as well as the big palettes. I am wearing it today and it looks great. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
Love this! I have the #8 palette (I got it as a bday gift) and I also use the shades as a topper in the center of the eye and they are beautiful! Nonetheless, I'm definitely eyeing the Top 3 palettes now :)
I only have the little mini trial palette currently that j got half off at Sephora (retailed for $29 and got for $14.50) and the quality of those five small pans is amazing. I did buy the celestial divinity palette on sale last week at 25% off (retail $78) with another 10% off, so only paid $52.65 with free shipping, so I’m excited to get that in the mail here soon and try it. All the others are pretty, but i just can’t justify the price point currently.
I purchased Bronze Seduction during Black Friday and I adore it. I also own Divine Rose II. Those are the two palettes in my collection besides Celestial Divinity that I gave away. I am not really interested in purchasing anything else at this point.
Nice video! I am a bit of an artsy mad scientist type and my favorite that I have bought is that blue and green blitz quad from last year. Not for the usability buy my heart goes pitty pay for the colors and they look awesome on. That said I really want divine rose I and totally think it deserved first place. But I also want subliminal as I think it has another usable color story . Was wondering what your thoughts are on monthership I
I AM STILL WAITING ON MY DIVINE ROSE 1. It’s been 10 days since I ordered it. Maybe it’s a back up in delivery, because of the holidays. This will be my 1st eyeshadow palette from PML. It looks stunning, & very wearable.
I was super let down with the Rose Decadence as well... and I got it on sale for $30. I ordered from Sephora and it didn't even come in a box. It was literally just the palette held together by a tape. I honestly thought it was a major packaging error. But then I saw other comments on Sephora saying the same thing.
For me, Divine Rose 1 is too plain & soft, I can put the same looks together w other palettes I have. But DS 2 is my fav for pinks/peach looks, & Bronze Seduction for browns. I have the Platinum Bronze which is great for cool toned looks. Pat does repeat A LOT of her shades, so when purchasing the MTHRSHP palettes u really need to compare shades
I feel like you’ve decluttered a lot of PMG palettes, sure you had a lot more 🤔. Would love an updated video of your make up collection or decluttering video. I only have 1 PMG palette in my collection and that is Divine Rose. It’s the only mothership palette that has ever caught my attention and with a $50 saving, I had to have it. Btw It literally took 6 weeks to arrive 🤣
How do you not have midnight sun? I am shocked since we have such similar likes and dislikes. I own all mothers pallets and quads and your ranking of what you have is very close to my preferences too.
