Always love seeing your take! I definitely agree that the straight-up evolutions to previous Pokemon have been really nice. So glad if they bring back Primeape to future games, they HAVE to bring back Annihilape too. And not just leave it in Paldea as a regional.

Honestly i feel the same for Skeledirge, Gholdengo and Annihilape. Especially Annihilape! I was a HUGE Primeape fan since gen 1 and despite it being one of my favorite fighting types, as you said it doesn't exactly sell well as a plushie or anything and there were cooler mons whenever i tried using one. But then that all changed once i heard leaks say the monkey was gonna revive from the dead. I don't know what it is with me but for a while i've LOVED ghost types and i didn't even truly know how much yet until my love for it creeped up on me (pun intended) gen 7 really made me realise with Decidueye, Dhelmise and Mimikyu and its only gotten cooler and more loveable with each gen so when i heard my boy was getting an evolution with the ghost type i went wild immediately rushing to catch a Mankey. And now i gotta say? Annihilape is amazing and my favorite fighting type

You certainly changed my perspective of the new gen Pokémon, as someone who hasn't played Pokémon since ORAS this was a treat to watch at first I wasn't too keen on the designs but after watching your video I see there are some underrated gems out there

M favorite this Gen is Great Tusk

Some of my favourite Pokemon this time around were definitely the Treasures of Ruin, Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu. It was nice to have some more Pokemon with a Chinese theme and the quest to get them is a lot of fun. (Need to get Chi-Yu mind). I also love the lore behind them, how these Pokemon are straight up evil and you're essentially releasing them back into the world to make them your own. And of course their battle theme is one of my favourites from this game. Mixing Chinese instruments together with the funky beat was really catchy. And if I had to choose, I'd say Ting-Lu is my favourite.

we already have a Platypus Pokemon. it's named Psyduck. I'm surprised they haven't done anything new with it seeing how it's both a pretty popular Gen 1 mon & everyone also acts like it doesn't exist by asking for a Platypus. a regional form or new evolution seems fitting for it.
