I really don't like Amity being shipped with guys when she's canonically lesbian. It's really important that minority identities don't get brushed to the side or overlooked for the sake of something that takes away from their representation. So I agree, her with Hunter wouldn't work, but not because of their personalities, because of her orientation.
As long as no one is being attacked over it and they person shipping isn't denying the fact that she's gay in canon, why can't people ship who they want to ship? If it isn't hateful I see no problem with it, it's a headcanon for a reason.
Huntlow actually started as some sort of crackship in the secluded parts of the fandom. I personally see them as the friends to lovers troupe. It's alright if you don't ship em.
Also Boschlow in BIG NOPE is so true, I don't even know why they ship her to Willow. Skarlow is also really good, Skarviney, Vinemira, Gustholomule are also really cool ships that I personally ship.

thought about these ships, Willow x Boscha, Boscha is a bully and she would be horrible for willow's selfesteem. But Hunter got a vision about her of someone amazing and (Personal opinion for my reading of the character) I think he would treat her like his world, And that would be very good for her selfesteem And make them both happy
For me, Amity and Hunter is a big nope, and I despise people who ship them since Amity is a lesbian, and shippers are just disregarding her sexuality. I'm more on Willow and Hunter currently though. It's grown on me. Though first I'd like them to be good friends before romance. Also, Gwendolyn and Dell are together, and I definitely ship them! It's obvious that they care about each other.

@@lienhua5558 Because lesbians generally have lack of positive rep at all and usually characters that are canonically lesbian usually get pushed anyways to be shipped with men -- when said character has 0 attraction to them hence why they are . lesbian. It's basically erasure of lesbian representation and it's apart of heteronormativity. There's many other ships Hunter can have -- he just cannot have it with Amity. Amity can only be shipped souly with women / nonbinary / other sapphics. 'Fanon' may be a thing but fanon only really applies to small things like hcs or aus -- gender and sexuality that are confirmed canon (except for heteronormative/cisnormative characters) can't particularly be messed with considering there is lack of canon rep and it just being stripped away from for the sake of 'fanon' is offensive. Like, someone changing Raine to be cis in canon is weird and messed up. It doesn't feel right. Same goes for people doing bisexual erasure onto Luz.
Fun Fact : The toh crew ship willow and hunter they have art works and they even called it winter which is a perfect name but it is so common that fans use huntlow to be more recognizable name to find fan artworks. Plus this ship has more canon fuel to it.
hunter ships r kinda cute but i definitely feel like he'd take a while to break down his walls enough to be romantic with anyone. i really doubt that he'll be in a canonical relationship with anyone without making it feel rushed.

As a HuntLow shipper I'm just happy we get to see them interact at ALL. Especially since before it was just off of the idea 'hey their dynamic would be cute' and didn't have much evidence for it. i love the way you think, i personally am on the goldric ship but my reasoning for not shipping winter is the reason you wouldn't ship something --(two years isn't a lot but it is a lot for children and teens because of their development differences and it would be in the illegal category in two years for two years) but it's mostly because im 19 and the thought of someone two years younger than me is just a child and nothing more and that though makes me uncomfortable--
(just in case this is just why i personally don't ship it and i don't see people shipping it as bad, i see the reason people ship it and love their personalities and new friendships so much)

But I can see him and willow as well, so I really wouldn’t be mad abt winter getting together as long as hunter has time to break down some of his walls, get better sleep, be a normal kid, ect.

yeah exactly! I ship them too but not on the level of lumity like they both need to go through a lot first before getting together, and the most I can see them doing in canon is one of them giving the other a peck on the cheek or something (that would be cute). They're more like I could see them getting together when they're both adults or something after the whole war

Considering there isn't going to be a full season 3 and season 2 is almost over, yeah...there's no time to even really focus on that development, so even if they do become canon, it would be brief and probably after everything settled down. The Owl House has been full of surprises, so I honestly don't know how things will go. I guess we'll see.
I know Goldric (Hunter x Edric) is a huge crack ship, but I LITERALLY SEE POTENTIAL! They both have self issues from the start and they could heal together, and they just look cute together overall!

Characters don't have to interact for people to ship them, just the appeal of the idea of them being together is all it takes. Do you know what the most popular ship from _Odd Taxi_ is? Imai and Tanaka, who don't even know of each other's existence. It could be due to lack of options, but still.

I literally started watching the show because of Huntlow, like I was fully supportive of the show but I wasn't really interested in watching just yet, probably waiting until it was over like I like to do, but then I saw this super cute couple and I had to start watching because I loved their dynamic and I want to start writing fanfiction for them. Obviously I'm also a Lumity shipper and Raeda shipper, but Huntlow is what made me decide "fine, I'm watching this show right now, not later".
I kinda did this too but in the opposite. I started watching the show a couple months ago but I wasn't too interested so I stopped at the 2nd episode. I later found a head canon fandom by coincidence in which hunter is MLM (the problem was that I genuinely thought that this was canon and not just a fandom). Hearing this I got super excited since I didn't see much representation in the show for mlm other than willow's parents (as much as I liked them I didn't feel it that much since it was so little). With my excitement I went back and binge watched the whole show in less than 3 days. As I was progressing through it, I slowly realized that Hunter was super close to Willow and even blushed from her (even though he also blushed during the hug). I started looking it up and found out that Hunter being MLM isn't canon AND that the crew/cast probably ships winter/huntlow and felt like I was stabbed in the back. + Hearing about season 3 really put me down. I like the ship, I just wish I hadn't expected hunter to be MLM just to be disapproved. A bit salty tho and sorry about this comment, I just needed to rant/vent.
Amity is canonically lesbian so It doesn't feel right to tier her with ships that have men in it.. (saying this as someone who is a lesbian btw) even if you don't ship them it's... not good bgfbhgf

That's a great way to look at it, I ship it personally, but I hope they have time to fully develop their friendship first (and Hunter's friendships with the others, as well as the fact that Hunter has to choose a new father figure and has plenty of issues to sort through first). :)

personally love hunter x edric (otp since hunter was introduced). i love to imagine the two of them geeking out about shared interests together and bonding over their bad parents. edric is there to cheer up and comfort hunter and hunter is there to keep edric out of trouble. edit : hunter is a character that requires a lot of care and love because of his past trauma. edric is a very caring person who seems to be clingy in the most positive way possible. i think they'd work out really well!
i also noticed that edric acts pretty “inferior” to emira, and just in general thinks he can’t do anything right. i’m not sure if hunter has that problem as well, but i feel like he can still give him the confidence edric needs. well for sure tho, being the right hand man of the emperor for quite a bit, hunter can surely guide edric to some degree. also they’re just one of those ships who look extremely cute together, like when i saw fanart of them for the first time i was like “this is it folks”.

My ratings: Lumity:10/10-i don't even need to explain. Amiter:1/10-amity is canonically a lesbian,so no. Boschlow:1/10-No. Just No. I honestly don't understand why this ship is so popular in the fandom. It's a toxic relationship seeing as how boscha bullied Willow for most of her school life and made her miserable. Vinira:7/10-i think they're cute. Do need to see some interaction between them though. Raeda:10/10-AGAIN!! I don't even need to explain!!! Huntric:7/10-they are cute.They follow the opposites attract trope which quite enjoy if done correctly. I need some interaction between them, which I doubt we'll get as there are 4 episodes left this season and next season will only be comprised of 3 40-minute specials. I'll be shocked if they manage to do this without rushing things. Huntlow:9.5/10-YES!(don't judge me). I think they would be adorable. I personally love the trope of edgy boy & Cinnamon roll.
Honestly, Lumity is a 7/10 for me. It used to be 10, but I’m just getting tired of them. They don’t really have much of an entertaining dynamic outside of random blushing. Amiter is 7/10 for me. I think they’d make a really fun couple and they’d be entertaining to see. Uncle issues and mommy issues over here could support each other as couples (also who cares of she’s lesbian! Most ships are made up, that’s the whole point. Have fun, go crazy). Huntlow is just 1000/10
I would like to introduce the crackship that was introduced to me; Skarlow. Skara and Willow (imo) would be so damn cute, the potential is just so juicy (also Christmas colors) 🛐❤💚 It made me so sad that we got an episode where Willow was (one of) the main focus and and while Skara was in the episode they didn't interact much. Which is a real shame because going off of how Willow makes friends and uses her brain to chose who she hangs out with, she clearly thinks of Skara positively.
i honestly just prefer huntlow being strictly platonic, mainly because i think just because they can relate to each other, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll have romantic chemistry. i see him way more with edric than willow. but also, then again idk if this traumatized boy should even be dating anybody LOL

So my thoughts on amity and hunter big noooo because amity has been confirmed by dana herself to be a lesbian or at least a standard for a lesbian and her relationship with luz being a wlw/lesbian X bisexual so it kinda makes me mad when people completely disregard the lgbtq+ characters sexuality because they want straight relationships to happen as if there's not enough already
yeah. Im prob gonna go on like a rant here, but Hunter has just gotten out of a REALLY abusive relationship with his uncle, both physically and mentally. So, sure I think a lot of the hunter couples are really cute, although hunter needs to have a while to figuring out who he is and I feel as though it would be really difficult for him to do that while trying to manage another relationship. Don't get me wrong. I think the hunter x edric and hunter x willow ships are cute, and have great dynamics, but like I said, Hunter needs to have time to figure everything out for himself before he can put himself out there again. I'm coming from labyrinth runners, about Huntlow it seems the show is leaning towards a possibility of romance but mainly and most definitely a close friendship between Hunter, Willow and Gus. If it ends up actually being romantic I think it'll be like their romantic feelings are starting to bloom at the series finale, like an open ended romance after a close and well developed friendship.
Yeah I'm onboard with the huntlow ship, they clearly click and mesh well together, and it feels like they could support each other when they are down. If Hunter survives, fingers crossed, I'd be happy if they get together. But I just love how pretty much everybody when they see Luz and Hunter goes, "Oh they are sister and brother". They really do have strong siblings energy.
I like EdricXHunter more than WillowXHunter Although... Since Willow and Hunter have a good friendship currently.. I don't HATE it.. Like the whole "precious but also strong" and both being "Half a witch" But even though Edric and Hunter never met.. I can see the cute dynamic. Like Edric is very goofy.. And Hunter is also goofy although he tries to act tough. Both needs love.. One need therapy and laughs while the other needs people who will take him seriously...Edric can make Hunter laugh and stuff and Hunter is someone who always tries to be serious... I dunno.. It just seems like a comfort ship.

The big ones for me are Luz and amity, eda and raine (not sure I spelt that right) and the healing/beastkeeping girl and amity's older sister (I have no idea what their names are but they just seem like they'd make a good couple, I also don't need much of them together, just a flashforword to a year later after the events of the finale, maybe next grom and they've gotten together in the year while luz, and maybe amity, has been away). As for willow and hunter, I can kind of see it but not something that will happen in the show, maybe a few years later. Same with gus and his rival/friend/frenemy, I can see them two having a slow burn build up to a relationship as their friendship grows and they get closer over time as they mature.
I think ship huntlow would be a good example that despite the high representation of lgbt relations, heterosexual people will not be discriminated. I don't know why, but I often meet the narrative that one side is "good" and the other is "bad"

I get what you mean on the whole "bully gets with their victim" shtic, it too makes me kinda uncomfortable. I think it comes from the fact that a lot of people want to humanize bullies a little- think that they did all that bad sruff because they are sad and mistunderstood. But sometimes a douchebag is just a douchebag. And if their bad behaviour is really just a front, they have a lot of healing to do and I really HATE when shows make abuser's victim responsible for making said abuser a better person.

I dont get people shipping people who have literally never even heard about eachother, for example edric and hunter have no clue who eachother are, they have never met at all, so you dont really know how they will interact.
