I love Saliba to bits, but having him over Gabriel this season is plain wrong IMO. Saliba obviously has a waaaaay higher ceiling and is the better overall footballer, but Gabriel has been an absolute monster this season.

Watkins has to be in the top 5. Most assists with 13 & 19 goals (none of them penalties) & it’s not just about his stats his all round game has been second to none compared to other strikers in the league.

Foden Rodri Palmer should EASILY be the top 3. Order is subjective tho

Haaland is really suffering from his own success. If this was his first season in the prem, theres no doubt he would be 1. Edit: Just to add, this season Haaland is averaging a goal every 90mins (was 77mins last season). For some perspective, aside from him, the best ratio of a premier league player is Aguero with 108mins.

Arsenal fans are the funniest bunch swear down. Up until the Spurs game every Arsenal fan was saying that Gabriel and arguably even White had better seasons than Saliba and that Saliba this season had a couple of mistakes and wasn't always that good as Gabriel. Then Saliba suddenly gives a MOTM at Old Trafford against the worst United team in the PL Era and suddenly Saliba is the POTY in the whole league and Gabriel and White all forgotten. That's why no one takes that fan base seriously.

I am biased as a City fan so I would have Foden and Rodri in 1 and 2. BUT, if I put that aside and transfer my mentality to decide my GOAT and greatest manager, I would have to say Watkins was the player of the season because he was at or amongst the top for goals and assists, and was a HUGE part in getting Villa to that very unlikely champions league spot. In second I would have Rodri because we dont win the title without him. Third, I'd have Palmer because without him, Chelsea finish 10-12th, outside of a UEL/ECL spot. Then Foden in 4th because he scored so many game winners and carried us when KDB was unavailable. Rice in 5th.

These lists are great but you should stop starting at 10 and working towards 1 when in many occasions the same player is on everyones list but in different spots. Be up front about the players who are obviously in the 10. Foden, Palmer, Watkins, Saliba, etc. and then before placing them in any order debate the remaining players up for grabs.
