I found the 10 greatest villains ever, including Joker, Homelander, Darth Vader, and so many more. follow me on twitter: / jedwerd_ #Jedwerd #Villains #DarthVader
True Tolkien heads don't memorize Aragorn's speech from the movies, we memorize random poems JRR himself wrote, like the Lay of Earendil. Almost got it down. And don't worry Jedwerd, we won't fight you since you at least ranked Sauron higher than Voldemort.
Uncle Ian is legitimately the best character. Man went from billionaire to living in bins, to billionaire again, to stranded on a volcanic island and then back to billionaire. What a legend.
@@myPPhurts689 he is a literal clown. What is a better villain, a guy who wears lipstick and robs banks or an alien from another planet who has an army of god like soldiers and constantly tries to destroy earth? Zod>>>Joker and I’m not even a General Zod fan
@@hgh_edits. 1/joker is one of the most iconic villains and the fact that in live action 2 completely different guys won an Oscar just by playing the joker. 2/I mean you know how many bad things the joker has done right? He has killed thousands of people just for the fun of it, and the things he has done to the bat family just to break batman so that the batman break his one and only rule by killing the joker I mean joker has killed more people than zod 3/and what matters is writing
@@myPPhurts689 he is a literal clown though. There are so many more villains that have done way worse than that and have better writing. I’m not saying he is a bad villain I’m saying that he is nowhere near the best
My top 10: 1. Darth Vader (My favourite character in fiction, obviously he’s here.) 2. Emperor Palpatine (He’s the big bad of Star Wars and deserves none of your sympathy. Someone who enjoys being evil can be so magnetic to watch.) 3. Tywin Lannister (I think Game of Thrones characters are hard to place, considering the show is shrouded in a lot of grey areas. Tywin though, he’s cold, calculated, not empathetic at all. And he has a death stare for the ages. His children are only there to build on the legacy of the Lannisters. That makes him criticise each of his children. And yes… the guy orchestrated events… Charles Dance was just perfect.) 4. Gollum (A sympathetic villain. Literally two sides in a tug of war. But too addicted to the ring, which gives a clear view of what could happen to Frodo if he got completely consumed by it. Still probably the greatest ever mo-cap performance.) 5. Joker (I’m not much of a superhero person. I do really love Spider-Man, but apart from that… I do like Batman and the peak of his rogues gallery is the Joker. Heath Ledger is irreplaceable, even though he isn’t the only good Joker.) 6. Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe is perfect. He’s the psychotic menace who is really fun to watch. There are other notable Goblins, but we all love Willem the most, don’t we?) 7. Darth Maul (The main reason I like Maul is because of his mostly anti-hero status. He’s not much of a direct villain. Still amazing.) 8. Joffrey Baratheon (I was thinking of putting him even higher. Jack Gleeson killed this role so bad that he received death threats for it. He’s this absolute menace, the epitome of a child growing up spoilt. And yet he does seek validation from from his father, Robert Baratheon. He’s unpredictable, cowardly and is easily put into place quite frequently. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t a scary menace to watch.) 9. Voldemort (Harry Potter was the first series I really got into. You bet this legend was going to appear. Yes, you can meme that he failed to topple a school, but he’s still menacing, calculated and just a presence, besides being a good character as well. 10. Sauron. For the same reasons Jedwerd stated, Sauron ends up relatively low. He’s more so a presence than a character. And a scary, ever lingering presence, that’s for sure. But his flunkies do his bidding. He is not a deep character and he doesn’t need to be, but I notice I do appreciate depth in all sorts of characters, heroes, villains and the in betweens.) In hindsight I could flip flop some picks around. The list isn’t that definitely. I knew Vader would be first, but apart from that, it was a big free for all. Just outside the top 10: (honourable mentions) Count Dooku (He was correct about the Jedi and the Republic, but he fell too deep. And his gentlemanly presence is immaculate.) Saruman the White (Hello again, sir Christopher Lee.) Ramsey Snow (A menace that reeks of sociopathy.) Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina and William Salyers [PS4 game]. Other notable Spider-Man villains to me were The Spot and the recent PS5 Kraven the Hunter. Thanos (I am not too much of a superhero fan besides Spidey, but Thanos was really good.) Cersei Lannister (Great [until later seasons], but not as easy to brand a villain outright.) Death (From Puss in Boots, also more of a presence than a character, but damn… he’s scary.)
You know, I kinda agree. I'm a both Harry Potter and LOTR fan but I think if you read the books you will know how much of a compelling villain Voldemort actually is, In my opinion higher than Sauron.
@@SithDarthVictorus66 Some villains are just great as presences, rather than characters. But I’ll like the good villain-characters more than the good villain-presences.
@@jarmoliebrand2005 True, I like Voldemort a lot and I think people tend to underestimate him. I Ofc love Sauron Cuz I'm a huge LOTR nerd but I'm a huge Potterhead too I think Voldemort is much more of a good villain character and Sauron is much more of a good villain presence type Meanwhile Vader and Palpatine excel at both lol
@@SithDarthVictorus66 I’ve read Brandon Sanderson’s the Final Empire recently (first Mistborn book) and the Lord-Ruler is also mostly the ever lingering presence and he functions fine like that.
And Palpatine died after getting pushed down a reactor shaft, does that mean Palpatine isn't a good villain? If you read the Harry Potter books then you'll know that Voldemort is actually a very compelling villain, plus he already had control over Hogwarts for an entire year. During the Battle of Hogwarts very few underage students fought most of the fighters were Students in their final year, plus do not forget that MANY adult wizards and former ministry members and the highly skilled teachers and ENTIRE Order Of The Pheonix was there aswell. Voldemort was NOT trying to take over Hogwarts lol, he just wanted Harry but all the good guys in the series came to Hogwarts and defended Harry Stop this unnecessary Voldemort slander, I'm a Star Wars and LOTR fan too but you gotta Respect Voldemort he's one of the best
My top: ( The Parenthesis means the movies and series they shine on 1. Darth Vader ( Star Wars original saga, Rebels, and Kenobi) 2. The Joker (Batman the Dark Knight) 3. Thanos (Avengers movies) 4. Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars episodes 1-6) 5. Voldemort ( Harry Potter movies) 6. Green Goblin ( Spider Man 1 and Spider Man No Way Home) 7. Doctor Octopus ( Spider Man 2 and No Way Home ) 8. Darth Maul ( The Phantom Menace and Clone Wars) 9. Boba Fett ( Star Wars Original Saga and Clone Wars) 10. Death (Puss in Boots the Last Wish)
I saw a 30min video of why Palpatine IS The greates villan of all Time so im sad now when he isnt here on 1st Place. He literally slowly turned a galaxy into a civil war. Controlled The main character of The saga whit his feelings, became a absolutr dictator of a galaxy. Whit no regret of anything he had done in his life
The thing with papltine is he won no other villain can say that it took five movies to defeat him plus the sequels if you think it counts. that’s why he is the number 1 villain he had a plan that made him rule the galaxy for 30 years ik it’s not a long time frame but he did had the Thorne and ruled 2 twice in prequels and sequels.
My personal top 10 1. Darth Vader 2. Anton Chigurh 3. The Joker 4. Hector Barbossa 5. Sauron 6. Hans Landa 7. Hannibal Lector 8. The Thing 9. Pennywise 10. Scar
Homelander is a scary superhero which deserves to be a villain. Also to me the villains to starwars would be: Dooku 3, Darth Vader 2 & Darth Sidious 1.
10 best villains in my opinion: 1- Darth Vader 2- Thanos 3- The Joker 4- Ultron 5- Gren Goblin 6- Homelander 7- Venom 8- Sauron 9- Davy Jones 10- Voldemort Honourable mentions: Count Dooku, Palpatine, Doc ock and dr doom and red skull

Voldemort could not even kill 1 teenager and take over a high school when he had 7 back up lives. Darth Vader Missing all four of his limbs and in a suit that causes him constant pain has no back up lives yet takes over a whole galaxy.
The Joker and Darth Vader share the first place, and second place goes to one of those DC villains Scarecrow Reversed Flash Savitar Damien Darhk Malcolm Merlin The Riddler Trickster Toysman
