Here's the list by fragrantica rating top to bottom Spicebomb Extreme 4.52 (#1) Naxos 4.51 Dior Homme Intense 2011 4.50 Layton EDP 4.46 LA NUIT DE L'HOMME EDP 4.44 BLEU DE CHANEL 4.42 Prada L'Homme 4.42 Terre D'Hermes PARFUM 4.39 Eros EDP 4.36 Code Parfum 4.35 Aventus 4.35 Oud Wood 4.33 Versace Pour Homme 4.29 Allure Homme Sport 4.26 The One EDP 4.25 Tobacco Vanille 4.24 L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme 4.15 CEDRAT BOISE 4.14 Dylan Blue pour Homme 4.14 Acqua di Gio 4.11 Hugo Boss Bottled 4.08 FAHRENHEIT 4.05 Le Male 4.01 Light Blue pour Homme 3.92 Cool Water 3.88 Sauvage EDT 3.88 (#25)
The Dylan Blue description is actually perfect. Blind bought it, sprayed twice one day to never use it again. It's too synthetic and gets annoying after a few minutes.
@@becomethestarBecause some people form their own opinions and some follow influencers' opinions, I hate it as well. I tried it a few times and kept it for a few months, but I couldn’t force myself to like it at all, so I sold it.
@@ronnie5329 The synthetic part never goes away for me. to the point where its actually nauseating. Have over 20 fragrances and smelled over 50, not one of them are as intolerable as DB.
What is the point of ranking things as you go without being able to reposition items? It would even be a fun exercise if it wasn't a clear recipe for not having accurate results at the end.
Yes, I am also the one who give a homage to TdH line. It's really really well made. And I think that Prada L'Homme would suit to you shirt on this vid very nicely bro, haha.
the comment about eros and the ranking i can totally agree with, bought eros some years ago and wore it for a few months every now and then and didnt like it very much, sold my bottle to a friend so i can get behind the rank
Completely disagree with Prada L'homme. It's NOT overrated and it's a simply beautiful scent, classy and sophisticated fragrance. . .and yeah dude, you messed up BIG time with some of these rankings lol
This is like half frag com half actual fragrances people tend to buy. Defo missing the likes of YSL Y EDP, 1 million, CK One, Ombre leather, Sauvage Elixir, YSL MYSLF, I would say amongst regular people spicebomb OG is more popular than extreme.
Omar, you should try and get your hands on a sample of Blu Mare Giardini Di Toscana. Oh my god, thats all i have to say. Blended perfectly, it takes the generic aquatic and woody scent and elevates it with a bit of salt and natural amber. It’s also a legit NUKE longevity wise.
Omar.. Great list.. But you should not have the rule of once the parfume is in the list, it cant be move, that make the list not so accurate.. N i feel the list should have Xerjoff Alexandaria 2 n Amouage but that is just my 2 cents worth..
I wouldn't mind this type of reactionary video more, though i might suggest/reques a quick snippet at the end with a ranking after you know what all the fragrances are so we can see how they compare.
Make the number placements more flexible next time is a great list... u could include honorable mentions next time U should be able to change there rankings when others come up
I am going to get hate for this but I don’t think spice bomb extreme is that great. Don’t get me wrong it’s alright but I jus find it too strong to the point where it’s unenjoyable. Tested it 3 times, first time it smelt good, 2nd time a bit medicinal and the 3rd time I used it it smelt very medicinal.
May I request a perhaps...easier, and certainly cheaper, alternative to the infamous Xerjoff guide? I'd like to vote for something on Alexandria fragrances. Perhaps a part 1 and 2 on their clones and then original creations? They seem to nail the more intricate aspects of notes of niche fragrances. For example, their Naxos clone has the stickyness of the honey that no other clone has been able to do. Their original creations seem to be interesting and of high quality, and right up your alley as far as style. You already have a few from them, so it may be easy to start. Just a thought. And thank you for your content. It seems wrong to make a request so soon, haha. I appreciate what you do.
Out of curiosity I've see lattafa being pushed quite a bit. Are they good scent wise? What are the fragrances like I'm not a fan of overly sweet scents but more masculine. Any ideas or suggestions.
@@SchoolOfScent Thank you! Will try the samples and see how those will perform on me inchaaAllah. More videos like this please btw, I really liked this episode.
I usually don’t comment, but I have to say this video’s rating was completely off the mark. It felt like there was little thought put into it. I understand that School of Scent aims to stand out with unique takes, but lately, the controversial ratings seem more forced than genuine. In other words this rating list was total garbage.
entertaining video but maybe it would have been more instructive for viewers if you could actually move the perfumes according to the ratings at the end.
I love your reviews and channel, but I am sorry to say that Dylan Blue and Eros both have far more character and performance than the boring BDC. I know people feel cool and think hating on Versace makes them more experienced, let's not join that crowd please.
@@All_True_Especially_The_Lies man I love fresh and mass-appealing. Percival, Silver Mountain Water, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, Sauvage Parfum. They just work and people around me love them. I know a frag bro would object lol.
Tom Ford fragrances, bottom 23,24,25. Great quality but weird ones, not for everyone while the rest are crowd pleasers. The Issey Miyake is ok at 21 but nah, I'll throw it at 22 and put Cool Water at 21. More people tend to remember and mention that as a great scent than the Miyake one. I'll put Mancera at 20, it's a top20 perfume but juust by a little. Farenheit goes 19. It's a bit weird but a mass pleaser. Less weir and less popular too than the old version. Anyway I don't like it that much. Also Le Male should be above it. After all it replaced the original as the great hit. In fact I will throw D&G pour homme in between as it's not as a big hit. I use it as an office scent all right but it's not that much of a lady killer so#18. Le Male is better, I'd say #17 The original AdG should go above it, it's just keep selling while the other great hits have had their time. It deserves a top16 at least as the best selling ever. Then I'll throw Terre. I appreciate Omar's love for it and I share that love,it's one of my daily perfumes but it's not that popular, few compliments. Just an honorable #15. Then I'd add Spicebomb caus it definitely gets more compliments than Terre but it's a bit of a cheapy youuthful club fragrance. It's not one you'd wear anywhere, anytime so not top10 material, just #14. Something similar goes with Eros. I think it's a bit better so let's put it at #13. Then I'd put Dior homme. Yes fragheads love it but it smells a bit weird. Hard to pull it off in the office, hard to pull it off as a teenager in the club, too limited use for a top10, so just a #11. As for top10 I'll start with the weakest, leaving Versace at the same spot as Omar, at #10. Yes, Allure homme sport, especially the Eau extreme is similar but better, so #9. Another, perhaps better office fragrance is Prada l'homme. But a bit too office vibes. I can see people putting it lower, for me that I mostly wear frags in the office it's a solid #8 though. Aventus, the most famous and popular niche one, great DNA but you smell it in many other fragrances, not unique and frankly it attracts more attention by men, like you're the boss, not sexy compliments from ladies, just a #7. Dylan Blue gets better reactions, it's cheaper, versatile...not the best quality but a fine #6. Top5 territorry, I'll give it to the most popular scent Sauvage. 20 is sacriledge, it's the most popular fragrance. I would give it a medal too but it's overused and well, smelling like every other guy isn't great. It's also copied a lot. At #4 I'd put the weakest of the perfect fragrances, The One. It smells awesome, but it's too weak. La Nuit de l;himme isn't far stronger, also a killer, at #3. Bleu de Channel is overused but I'd say the EDP not so much and it's the best, so #2. Thus the top spot is left for...no, wait, I skipped something and I have 2 left. Hm, ok, two niche ones, let them share the #1 place although I prefer the Xerxoff one. PdM is also a great crowd pleaser though.
@@ivantrudeau8974 I think the OG has sadly been reformulated and watered down. I would get the Parfum as it could be discontinued. While that one too is a bit different than the old batches it still performs OK.
I think Naxos is overhyped. Its solid, but there are many better sweet / tobacco scents. I think most of the hyped Xerjoff frags are overblown. Like that baby powder bomb of an annoyance, 40Knots.
naxos is def not overhyped. and what do you mean by better? you know scent prefrance is subjective and how do you compare frangrance with totally different notes? think before you post your opion
@PaperBeatproduction Yes, and in my subjective opinion, there are better sweet tobacco scents. Also, if you think a difference in notes means you can't compare, then you're just silly. Best blue fragrance? Don't ask this guy. Best Tobacco fragrance, definitely don't ask this guy. Etc etc. Think before you post again.
Dont apologize about Dylan Blue. I have no idea why people love it. It smells like old Avon womens perfume from the 8o's in those shaped bottles. 🤢 Spicebomb is my #1
Spicebomb extreme as nr 1? It is not very wearable, at least to me. Dylan blue is synthetic, and the opening is harsh, but after, it smells good enough to me. Especially if you smell it in the air and not up close
@ronnie5329 spicebomb is definitely #1 on this list. Women love delicious and spicy fragrances. There's nothing special about Dylan Blue. It's boring and to me it's awful
@@becomethestar I dont know about that, yes some women like sweet, but I dont think i want to smell like Christmas all winter. We all like something different
Bro they Are both extremely good fragrances. Dont worry. They smell amazing and last very long With good projection. + its probably the best combo of a fresh-citrus and sweet-spicy fragrance.
Tried many of these scents. Own and Tis and samples of Parfums de Marley etc. the only scent which I’ve ever got multiple compliments off females is good old cheap Davidoff Cool Water. Go figure.
Oud wood nr 1? Really? I do like it but performance sucks and for that price??? No way best the fragrance. You totally messed whole list. Spicebomb extreme should been in top 10
