Its only because no other team valued westbrook. Imagine how insane Westbrook would be running with the young Spurs team throwing lobs to Wemby. But teams don't value Russ
@@blablablaa14There are many reasons Westbrook stayed with the Clippers. Other teams not wanting him is not one of them. #1: Westbrook is from LA, has his family there and many businesses there. #2: The Clippers welcomed, treated like a teammate, after the Lakers didn't and used him as a scapegoat when things went wrong for the team. #3: Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are from LA and are friends of his. So he is happy being around them. #4: The Clippers are a contender and he gets to start on the team and are included in the plans. #5: Westbrook has made a lot of money and makes lots of money off the court, so now he probably being in the best situation is more important than getting the biggest contract you can get at this point. He made a lot of money as a Laker and that was the most miserable period of his career. I'm sure that put money vs best situation in perspective for him.
westbrook is just so hard to find team to fit. Prime Westbrook was just stats hunting not teamplayer. He is good guard but hard to fit in and his contract is just right for his skills
@@williamblake7386 you gonna pay a engineer 30% of what engineers building bridges are getting and expect him to build a bridge? no. why would you expect a 7mill player who is playing wayyyyy above his contract to play like a 50 mill player, where's the logic.
@@andyderp6473 Looney and his contract is nothing special. Flawed guy for cheap. Have you heard about anyone interested in trade for Looney? No? So why are you talking nonsense about 50 mil engineers?
As a Suns fan, I wish we had kept Mikal Bridges and traded Ayton for Sabonis when it was on the table. He was the perfect costar to have alongside Booker.
@@chrisroberts8625I don't know if that's fair, he was playing through a pretty bad injury in the playoffs last year. Yes, he had a poor playoff performance 4 years ago, but I think we need to see him get through a full healthy playoff run before we can judge
Nuggets have 2 of the best contracts with Gordon at 23mil and KCP at 15mil. Both are great defenders, are in their prime, and can easily fit on any team. Aaron is one of the best and most efficient finishers at the rim, while Pope shoots 3's above 40%. If they were free agents I'm sure AG could get at least 28mil and KCP 25mil.
Austin wanted to play for the lakers. And they gave him the most they could so he probably fully believed they were doing right by him. Im sure those things made him agree to it.
Austin is playing on the team he wants to, as a starter on a contender team to boot and he even got paid the most he could’ve got on this team. 50 million is nothing to sniff at either. He’s on the best situation he could possibly be.
I still cannot believe how the Boston Celtics gave JB a 300Million contract. Probably the biggest overpay right now and I would argue that even if he stays the same in the next 5 years, that money would be too much! We are looking at a very streaky player that cannot drive with the left hand!
Its the same exact amount any super max player has been paid. Stop thinking about the raw dollar amount, it rises every year. JB is getting 35% of the cap, so will Tatum, so does Jokic, so does Karl Towns. Everyone who gets the super max gets paid the same from their team. Also they don't plan on keeping Brown forever, but now they have his rights and can trade him for pieces
Watch the highlights from last nights Heat CEltics game at the 2:50 second mark of the 4th quarter, Jaylen gets Bam on him at the top of the key and blows by him with 3 left handed dribble and then finishes by Kevin Love too with the left hand. 300M in 3 years will just be a normal max contract, Jaden Mcdaniels just got 136 million, Dillon Brooks 80 million, Lamello 260 mill, Desmond Bane 207 mill, Vassell 146 million. When you are contending for a title you don't lose a 26 PPG player that can guard multiple positions bacause the owner wants to save on the luxury tax. If Jaylen has another year like any of the last 2 years he could also be traded for a huge package of players and picks
I never understood the hate that Brunson got last year. Because they were saying he's not worth that contract but then they said the mavs were stupid for not resigning
Definitely! I also just watched the video about the Vuc-trade again. One of the best deals in Magic history (which isnt that difficult but still). Carter, Franz and this year's first for Vuc 🔥
Keldon Johnson has a better deal than Reaves, who is not what people think and scored 14 and 10 points in the first two games and is the real reason LA has no third star
Rob Pelinka must pulled some strings, using the connections he had when he was that big star agent, there is no way other teams being that blind to Reeves, especially the spurs, Reeves will fit this team really well skill wise, and they have good cap space, and on top of that, it fit Wemby's rookie contract perfectly, when Wemby is due to a mega extension, Reeves is done and can move for some cap space. It has to be Pelinka's work, R.C. ain't stupid.
I don’t know who is talking about Mikal making an all nba team outside of phoenix or Brooklyn. Maby he should make a all star team first😂. It’s a pretty good deal tho.
Joker has best contract. you got a superstar, best player in the league for 280M for contract that just started this year. after that contract ends you will have 450M mark contracts.
Man, if the Raptors were really offered like three or four first round picks for OG last trade deadline, why didn't they take that before he was on an expiring deal?
I believe it’s because those four first picks that were offered came from Memphis. Idk if some of those picks that Memphis own belonged to other teams but they’re a young team and if Ja can get his head on straight and everyone is healthy. This team will be in the playoffs consistently. If that’s the case, those picks are trash (mid-late picks) for OG. Raps probably want to resign him but OG can just hold off so he can get more from the Raps once FA starts.
Bro he's the reason the lakers are missing a third star. Everyone focusing on DLo no one talking about Reaves having one great season and now is not replicating it. He could just be Jeremy Lin@@tommasominchio9738
I hate that people say Best and Worst instead of overvalued or undervalued. There are no good or bad contracts. And I very highly doubt the players appreciate being told they have the Best contact when they are grossly underpaid for their talents
@@user-nu9zr7lm9d Yeah. Jazz really made some weird moves by getting Collins and also using first draft for Hendricks, essentially overstocking on PF position with Lauri. They easily could had made a move for Reaves too, as there is still plenty room below the wage cap. I do think that Lauri will be traded for more picks, as with his cheap contract there will be teams interested making a push for playoffs for future draft capital.
Austin Reeves should have signed somewhere else for a bigger bag. I guess the chance of playing with Lebron which you will never get the opportunity to do again.
Why are nba contracts different from the nfl? In the nba contracts are shorter, less money and there also more nba players getting traded. Also no super teams in the nba,so it is a one man team sport. reply
great video! Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God bless! Jesus is the way and saves! Psalms 62✝🤍💪
I like this channel, but it has slowly grown to more bias big markets. Jalen Brunson is good but to say he’s one of the best guards in the East when Dame, Brown, Mitchell, Haliburton, and Trae exist it’s just factually wrong. If you’re not making the allstar game no way no how then you shouldn’t be listed as one of the best at your position.
This video is weird at its core so we're celebrating players who are being underpaid just think if some RU-vidr made a list like this about people who did your job🤔 just something to think about.
