I think the worst part about the Tower Of Yikk fight is the implications, it is never explained why it can transform (with only legs built into it might i add). And the fact that enemies just so happen to be in it when there is absolutely none around when you check inside the tower is annoying as well Bowser's Castle, Peaches Castle and heck even the Fawful Express have reasons to why enemies appear from them
I think this game is so good to me because you get to 1: play as bowser 2:SEE HUGE DAMAGE However i dislike all the times the game has to trap bowser to allow the bros progress since the bros can still do things in bowser segments
i was really surprised when you ranked junker so high i always got really mad playing that boss fight since in the original the attack where luigi gets put in a trash can you can’t dodge that unlike in the remake where you mash the b button
While this is definitely a great game, and one of my favorites in the M&L series, I honestly don't think it has that many good bosses if I'm being honest. There are a few exceptions of course, like Midbus, Fawful, Dark Star Core, and the rematch with Bowser, but the rest of the bosses were all kinda lacklustre for me, especially when compared to the bosses in Superstar Saga and Dream Team.
Personally, I (Jack) thought the SS bosses were fairly redundant and uninteresting especially compared to those in BiS, although yeah Dream Team has the best bosses from the looks of it considering I haven’t actually played the game yet.
Alex here, I’d agree that Dream Team has the best bosses by a long shot, but Superstar Saga’s imo were often either too brief or too random to be too memorable. A lot of the time it would just be some random creature that attacked you or something, and it’d die in like 30 seconds (ie Trunkle, Mom Piranha, etc). But yeah there isn’t anything nearly as miserable as the Giant Bowser fights in there though, I’ll give it that.
@@Cytonox While it seems we're all in agreement that Dream Team has the best bosses, I do think Superstar Saga's bosses were pretty great too. In my opinion bosses like Queen Bean, Tolstar, Popple & Rookie/Birdo, Hermie III, and Jojora all felt memorable because they showed much more personality than the bosses in BIS. I will admit I may have some nostalgic bias though.
I remember playing the Ds version of the fawful express and seeing the 3ds version toss that shit in the chasm definitely made my many game overs back then
As a kid, I found the sensor you’re supposed to breathe into for fire on the giant fights. That, along with the fact that I loved hard bosses, meant that I actually liked the train fight.
We didn’t count it partly since it just isn’t enough to justify grinding + suffering through the entire boss gauntlet on the shitty emulator port I was recording on, and doesn’t really change my placement any.
All the giant battles feel slow and boring but the worst one for me and by far the worst boss in the game was super peach’s castle. Yeah, screw that boo shield, screw the janky perspective of the charge attack and screw those black holes.
I would say the reason you hate the giant battles is because you played them on an emulator. Believe me they’re a lot more enjoyable on the console you’re supposed to play them on. And personally I loved the giant battles and papercraft battles. But eh, guess I’ll go shove my head in a urinal now
Alex here, I’ve played them a bunch on the ds/3ds as well and they’re definitely far more palatable there but still pretty lame imo. Fawful express is the lone exception that becomes better on an emulator due to the removal pf the awkward breath mechanic though
