Pretty spot on list. Genuine question though, why did you put Nick at 4th ahead of the likes of Bonac and Dexter? Cus i dont think Nick was good enough in 2021 (not his best version, but those were pretty good versions from Bonac and Dexter) to be clearly ahead of those two, i would probably have a tie between them 3 for 4th and Cedric and Samson tied for last
@@srgillette12 this is definetly not Dexters all time best but he was probably still in his prime in 2015 ( which is crazy to say cus his first Olympia apearrance was in 99) as he beat one of Shawn Rhodens best versions at the Olympia later that year and placed Runner up to Phil. Pose for pose he stacks pretty well against Nick, i would have him winning both lat spreads, abs and thighs and a slight edge in the mm, while the side chest and front double are toss ups imo. That being said its as close as it could get just feel like Dexter is kinda overlooked these days as he is imo a top 10 bb oat with an Olympia title and the most Arnold classic and pro show wins record.
His legs aren't as bad as most people think (lookk at them next to anybody else), he's just super wide so it creates the illusion of small legs. He's a legit mass-monster, 5'7" 265lbs, even bigger than Nick Walker, but aesthetc at the same time.
@@MikeG82 This is what he was annnoced as. He is bigger than Nick Walker, bigger chest and thicker bakby far .Out of all the last Mr.Os, only Ramy is bigger than him lol.
He was so incredible here. The upper body was some all-time stuff. The taper, symmetry and fullness is fantastic! I don’t think the proportions are off except from behind, where his hamstrings are poor.
This is not prime Kai though, 2012 was so much better and that version would most likely beat hadi and Brandon but 2016 was not as sharp with a wider waist and worse distention so imo that version is not better than prime hadi and prime Brandon
The Arnold 2019 version of Curry beats anyone here in front and side shots. He had insane potential but never improved on, or even replicated this version sadly.
Maybe in the upper body, but Samson and especially hadi return the favor in the lower body and their margin of victory in the legs is larger than curry in the upper body
@@shaulbabylegsmaloney9854 Kai was killing everyone except Phil back in his prime. I would say he has the 3rd most impressive phisique ever after Ronnie and Phil. He was a freak.
@@vtienlittle8465 What about my comment suggested that I had already watched the video? lol I said I love a good rankings video, which meant I'm glad he's made one for us to watch. Which I then proceeded to watch. Pull your head out of your ass. Haha
Thanks for this great comparison analysis @marksmamuscle I'm amazed how different the greatest human bodies can be from each other. We are witnessing human evolution for better or worse.
Bodybuilding shows should be judged like this. One pose at a time with call outs for each pose. The judges could vote on placings 1-10 for everyone to see.
that would take too long, plus its harder to judge a call out the more bodybuilders you have and it would be harder to analyze each physique and their details aswell as their strengths and weaknesses
Cedric is way to high in this comparison, he is arguably last in this comparison imo (him or Samson). Imposing structure for sure but he is has the worst conditioning of the group and 2016 Cedric lost to 2016 Kai so him being 4th ahead of Nick Kai and Dexter is crazy imo
-Kia -Hadi -Brandon I think brandon gives up too much in the back shots, but is hard to say placing between him and Hadi dont really know where to place the middle guys but last place Cedric, and then dexter in 7th, talking about this version of him of course
I also thought that Brandon would be better from the back cus at the Olympia that year his back was much thicker but i guess he made those improvements between the two contests. I dont think Kai would come out on top though, if ur talking prime Kai then most definetly but this is far from his best version with a very wide waist and terrible distention, my vote would probably go to hadi with curry second
Cool video! I started bodybuilding when Kai, Phil, and Jay were winning everything. Cool to see that generation compared to the new guys! I think the only disagreements are that Hadi def wins side tri - his midsection is PERFECT and the separation in the arms is phenomenal. And then you said Kai loses in conditioning in the abs shot - omg look at the cross striations in the quads, no one else has that!
Hadi in the side chest and side tri. Not saying he would win the shots, but he looks great. Kai's side chest does look very awkward. I do think if time travel existed and these versions all stood on the stage together, Hadi would win. I could also see him coming in 2nd to Brandon, who has the aesthetics. That front double, ridiculous front lat, ab and thigh, side chest. He is a former Mr. O for a reason.
@@sethbagalman3819 Very true according to IFBB judging panel. Only Muscularity, Symmetry, Proportions and Conditioning are judging metrics. It doesn't mention anything about "Aesthetics" and no IFBB judge has ever mentioned aeshetics.
@@sethbagalman3819 Very true. Tell me where it says on the official IFBB judging panel "Aeshetics" as a judging metric ever? Answer: NEVER! Only Muscularity, Symmetry, Proportions and Conditioning are mentioned as judging metrics.
@@Gnybr OK. I'll give you that part as far as what 3 areas are listed within the IFBB judging criteria. However, when two bodybuilders are equal within those 3 criteria, the judges will always give the one who is more aestheticslly pleasing the nod. As a matter of fact, even if one is ahead of the other in meeting those criteria, the one who is more aesthetic can win. The latest example of that is Samson beating Nick last year at the Arnold. Nick, pound for pound, carried more muscle mass than Samson, he was easily more conditioned, and Nick was arguably had better symmetry as Samson was missing a Back. Yet Samson won the show, because he was more aestheticly pleasing to the eye. So, you're right about aesthetically not "technically" being one of the written metrics for judging; but in reality Aesthics is absolutely a metric used by judges. That is what I was trying to say, not that you're wrong, per say.
@@sethbagalman3819 Let me put it like this for you my friend. In men's open bodybuilding (not Classic or Men's Physique cuz Idk how they are judged) the more muscular and more conditioned guy will always beat a more "aesthetic" guy simply because size and conditioning are objective official standards while aeshetics is subjective and not an official judging criteria. Dorian beat Flex and Shawn, Arnold beat Zayn, Ronnie beat Kevin, Nick beat Andrew, Kai beat Shawn, Ramy beat Brandon and etc... Simply because they were at the time bigger and more conditioned than them. However, you could say that the guy with superior symmetry and proportions is generally speaking more aeshetic than the other guy. But symmetry and proportions isn't exactly the same thing as aeshetics. Hence, aesthetic is not an official juding criteria and has never been dating back to the first time Larry Scott won the first Mr Olympia.
Wow I think you placed these guys totally wrong. Kai destroys Nick for one. Samson dead last, Dexter is much better! I agree with Brandon winning this. William is better than Hadi though.
