The NFL is not ready for what Sione Vaki is going to be as RB3 on the Lions. The players are not even allowed to talk about what he does. He is a secret weapon for the Lions and from what I understand he is the perfect compliment to Montgomery and Gibbs. Reports are saying that he is elite in pass pro and catching the ball out of the backfield, and while he may not have top end speed like Jamo or Gibbs he has a lot more power than they do and very respectable speed. He is also reported to have great contact balance and ability to run through and break tackles. The Lions are the best backfield in the NFL, let alone the NFC North. Go ahead and keep on disrespecting the Lions Jeramiah.... please do that! To all the haters out that that will not give the Lions their due respect, BRING IT! We welcome it! We know just how much sweeter that humble pie is going to be when you eat it!
Pump the breaks, buddy. I am not a lions fan, but I do like them and they definitely do not have the best backfield in the NFL. They are up there, but not the best.
"From what I uderstand" says it all. Vaki is a safety who has played a little running back. But his running back success has come against college teams that could not stop ANY running back. He only played because their starting RB's got hurt. Not because the teams were stopping them. Stop listening to analysts who watched one game where he had success and are calling him a running back.
Lions have a potential Super Star 🌟 in Gibbs & a Pro Bowl caliber back in DMo. Craig Reynolds just ALWAYS gets the job done whenever called apon and the rookie Vaki is going to suprise EVERYONE outside of Detroit with how good he his 💯 All running behind the BEST OLINE in the league with a Top Teir playcaller in Ben Johnson.
I have no idea how Daniel can sit there and say the Packers have a better RB room than the lions. Dude its not just the north that the lions have the best running back room its the entire NFL. And I dont think its close.
@@ttaylor758 Yo what. They arguably had the best duo in the ENTIRE NFL last year and Gibbs will probably continue to improve. Jacobs is a good player, but like he's probably a Gibbs tier player next season and then the Lions have a 1k rusher in Montgomery to play along side him. It's just a bad take by Jeremiah.
What are you talking about. The falcons have a great RB room with Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, Jase McClellan, Avery Williams. The Rams have a good room, and others
I was absolutely thinking that there was a philosophical difference between these two 30 seconds before DJ brought it up. Lol. I definitely side with DJ over Bucky in this exercise.
The Dolphin's squad easily have the speed and scheme advantage. As far as pure running backs, they don't come close to the Jets group. That's why the Dolphins are so bad aganst teams with winning records, which means they face better defenses. Those teams take both the eye-candy motions AND the running backs out of the picture. It takes running backs with talent to make them miss, break tackles, and run them over at times against those defenses.
Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery are the only RB duo in NFL History to each have over 1,000 scrimmage yards and 10 plus TDs. #1 RB room belongs to the Detroit Lions 🦁💯
The Detroit Lions are poised to win A Championship. This offseason they signed their "core" players to great new deals. QB1 Jared Goff, OT Penei Sewell, and WR Amon Ra St Brown literally sets the pace for the rest of the team. That said one of the most important "keeps" was OC Ben Johnson. Johnson is an offensive wizard and great at maximizing offensive players talents, which is one of the reasons that he was so coveted around the league. The most important "maximization" was QB Jared Goff. He somehow figured out a way to make Goff effective while playing under center. That literally changed The Lions offense, and fortunes, ever since. I truly believe that RB Jamyr Gibbs is going to run into superstardom early this season. From the top down. This ain't the same old Lions.
@@williamdillard5060 Correct. Ben Johnson has been the key. And he's been waiting 3 years for the Jets job to open up. He'll finally get his wish after this season. But this season belongs to the Lions.
@@TyreeTravelsthey didn’t say anything about the lions winning a Super Bowl in the past they were saying that the lion are in position to win a Super Bowl soon
The Detroit Lions have the best running back room in the entire league and it’s not particularly close. What are we doing here? The Packers? I needed a good laugh today 🤣
Remember when Cincy needed 2 yards to keep their chances alive in the SB? Who’d they hand the ball to? Not Joe Mixon. Perine. Just an interesting point to consider when Bucky flames JT for not being on the field. Etienne’s the guy in that division, though.
Sorry, but the Lions have the best tandem with Montgomery and Gibbs. Remember that Gibbs was a rookie last year and really didn't get rolling until the halfway point of the season. He also didn't play in a game. With a full understanding of the offense and the usual 2nd year jump, Gibbs should be a real weapon, similar to McCaffery in SF.
Josh Jacobs might see more 6 man boxes in his first 5 games than he has seen in the last 10 years. He will feast and if defenses adjust they will get roasted in the passing game.
Tell me you did not watch nor research the AFC South without saying you have not watched nor researched the AFC South. Dudes are ranking on media hype. Even Bucky calls out DJ on it, but he does as well.
I love how Jeremiah made bucky feel dumb.. The hate is rediculous that bucky got for colts.. Anybody knows JT is the best rb in that division and it ain't even close and he's bout to prove he's the best in the league again just to remind ppl.. How the hell you gone put any of those rbs ahead of JT.. Then the best argument you have is him getting hurt.. Wow well that could happen to any of them.. And Etienne is not a good back..
I was just defending the Bucs against the new NFC South media favorite team - the Falcons(last year it was the Saints), a week ago. There's a bunch of season predictions from fans already, and I wrote a lot. But anyways, one area the Falcons more or less do have the Bucs is in hb depth. But, I must say the Bucs could surprise here as well! Everyone knows Rachaad White by now. Some like Bucky Irving. It took me awhile to get into Bucky Irving. I still say he's a red shirt player this year . . .with special teams contributions this year. I'll be interested to see what he looks like after a full NFL offseason training program. But, not only did the Bucs draft a hb, but they picked up a couple of undrafteds which might make the Bucs hb depth more interesting compared to the Falcons. They got this D.J. Williams and a Ramon Jefferson. I kind of went back and forth about D.J. Williams. At first, I was excited(once again, Bucky Irving was my least favorite Bucs pick this year; but, I've started to see some things there). Then, I started saying "well, he's not that good. NFL D's can stop that." He's not Jamal Williams. Well, I'm hearing good things from mini-camp. D. J. Williams can catch for one. Plus, he should get a little bit bigger between now and week 1. I still need to see D.J. Williams in pre-season to see whether I see a guy who's just big, or does he have both being big and power like Jamal Williams. There's a difference between a guy who's powerful because he's big, and some smaller guys can play with a lot more power. Then, there's guys who can combine the two - like Mike Alstott . . .and Jamal Williams. But, the guy I'm excited about is Ramon Jefferson. He was stuck behind Ray Davis last year. Bucs O-Coordinator knew of Ramon and brought him in. I found some tape that looked pretty good .That was a little small school; but, he should have grown some since then, and I'm sure he's growing even more already with some NFL workouts. I've heard people who have seen him in mini-camp say "this guy is just built differently." I'm going with Ramon Jefferson over Sean Tucker, and to make the roster. The battle after Rachaad White/Bucky and Ramon making the team is three way between Chase Edmunds/D.J. Williams and Sean Tucker. If either Sean Tucker or D.J. Williams beats out Chase Edmunds, then I think the Bucs hb room has taken a giant leap this year!
@@oker59 bruh we literally have the 4th best offensive line in the NFL what are you talking about. There's no way you think your o line is better. But I'll say one thing the Bucs and falcons have the best safeties. Jessie Bates lll and Antoine Winfield Jr are the best. Luckily we signed Bates before y'all did Winfield cause now it's like we got a deal on Bates
@@The_Drake_London 4th ranked - maybe. You have one elte Olineman - Chris Lindstrom, who is an undersized tough guy. Bergeron and your Rt are alright. I put Goedecki ahead of both of them. I equate Mauch with Goedecki. He's going to take a second year leap just like Goedecki did last year. Then, Bucs have Wirfs and Graham Barton who are both better than Lindstrom. Graham Barton is practically the Wirfs of centers.
@@oker59 it's not about individual linemen it's how they play together. That's legit how they rank lines. Drew Dalman is a dawg and he was a 5th round pick and Kaleb McGary played great last year.
No mention of Keaton Mitchel? UDFA was averaging 8.4 yards a carry on 47 carries before he was hurt last season. I expect between Mitchell/Henry and Lamar, the Ravens easily are the top rushing team in the NFL, again.
