Edit: The way Starts with Sorry lowkey is stuck in my head, making this tier list already outdated. I'd put it at the top of B now lmao Hey all, this is pretty much a "for me" video. Won't affect my regular schedule, I just wanted to gush about a series I found I enjoyed! Hope we can all agree that the soundtrack is an absolute banger! And I'm so sorry for any point where I "sing", my voice was a wreck and I wasn't singing to the music so a lot of it is "off-time".

what I really love about "Respectless" is how it shows off how ruthless and cunning Velvette really is. She purposefully throws Carmilla off her game in order to gather more information from her via her reaction than Carmilla would otherwise want to share. It gives credence to her claim that she's "the backbone of the V's", cus while Valentino and Vox are powerful and influential... they aren't shown to be very smart, either of them.

You're frequently very good at putting out videos I didn't know I wanted until you put them out! I don't expect (or think it would even be enough content for) a video on it, but I'm curious where you'd have ranked the pilot songs if you included them in this video.

I recently rewatched the pilot songs, and I think Chasing Rainbows would be C-Tier, it just isn't a song that appeals to me. Inside Every Demon is a Rainbow would be a solid high B-Tier, and Alastor's solo would be low A-Tier. I found it a bit hard to go back to the pilot because Charlie's "disney princess-isms" are on full force, so it feels way less relatable to me.

My top 3 have to be Hell is Forever, Hell's Greatest Dad, and More than Anything. I know, not exactly a hot take, but I'm not gonna lie, these songs are just genius. And performed on a level so good the actors could sing alongside Voiceplay and not get lost. I know they're Broadway-level, but I consider Voiceplay way above that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the actors actually performed the songs first, and then the songs were animated around their voices. Feels like a way safer way to handle animating them when you know how the songs sound. Viv did confirm the songs were recorded waaaaaaaaaaay in advance.

@@BillySYT Yeah, that would make sense. The same way irl bands first make a song and only then record the music video that goes on RU-vid. Doing it in reverse order would be horribly difficult, I think.

My boyfriend introduced me to the pilot a few years back, so we were pretty hyped to see the series officially air. It helps that I didn't have like a crazy attachment to the fandom or anything, so I just got to sit back and enjoy a good musical ^^

Honestly It starts with Sorry has a special part of my heart cause 1.Charlie's singing voice is so beautiful and sweet and 2. Vaggie and Angel going full "Nah fuck this" and attend to kill Pencious WHILE singing is just too funny. Particularly because this is the first time in the actual series that Angel pulls his gangster act and it's on the middle of a ballad of all things lmao And speaking of Angel- Poison it's Hazbin's All You wanna Do, from Six the Musical. The tune it's catchy and the singer it's serving- but you are pretty much watching a victim scream for help in pop version.

Fkin DS1 Smash or Pass and now HAZBIN HOTEL SONG RANKING?? Astronomically based. Also ur singing was cray-good wtf :O!! Not thought too thoroughly about what my whole list would be like, but I'd deff say my absolute favourites are: 'Whatever It Takes' - Love how raw and genuine it sounds, less like a performance and more just people letting their emotions spill out. Fell in love with Carmilla when her part popped off. 'Poison' - Total banger plus Angel Dust is very relatable (thankfully not his experience tho, got good peep in my life, no drugs or genuine abuse (only consensual :>)). After those I think 'Hell is Forever', 'More Than Anything' and 'You Didn't Know' are next ^^

My only problem with out for love is that is message doesn't make sense with Vaggie. Literally everything she has been doing has been for Charlie and then she's told to do it for love, not for bloodlust. Idk it just didn't make sense

I think it's more in the sense that while she's doing it for Charlie, she's still too focused on the fighting and the bloodthirsty nature of it. I think about how she's just angry, and it was a way for her to clear her head metaphorically and physically. Basically a "Forget about Adam's bs from Ep 6 and focus on the positives."

depending on how Sera will develop in future season the smile in the number 3 song could mean different things. if she just wanted to kill demons then this smile is a sinister one, wanting to do this action and her words are lies. if she really just wanted to protect heaven then the smile is forced as she looks at the destruction she allowed.

My personnal favourites are Hell's greatest dad, then Hell is forever and Respectless! Edit : Also I don't know if you've listened to Addict, that came out a few years ago? It's basically a first version of Poison if it makes sense, and it's very good too!

Loser, Baby is the song I think a lot of us needed to hear. Because I don't respond well to the "It'll get better some day" message most of those songs go for. It's more of a "It sucks, but at least we're sucking together" vibe which is way more real.

I think loser baby sounds absolutely amazing however. I think its message is completely fucked. What they went through isn’t even comparable. Husk lost all his power but angel went through something that’s possibly the worst thing that can happen to someone. And calling a victim of SA a loser just doesn’t sit right with me. I get what it’s going for but I just don’t like the message.
