The hate for Gambit still fascinates me! 😅 Biased, as he's my fave, but I started out knowing him through the cartoon before collecting his comics and think he's cool. Just bought the trade where Sunfire, Polaris and him are horsemen for Apocalypse to study up on X-men 97 S2! Good learning who characters are from this episode!
I respect the list even if my fav is Gambit not cause he's so popular but he contributes to the team by providing a clever and cunning dynamic. The relationship with Rogue and him is also one of the healthiest in the series.
Gotta say Cannonballs a C or even a B. Tight character concept, original powers of a middle level (not enough with the X-men), his family is deep in the X-men lore, and he was core to New Mutants which was an era defining X book.
Cannonball is cool, but I think this is one of those generational situations. In the time since I started reading comics, he's been featured very little in the X-Men books I've read, so I don't have a real connection to him.
Loved the show Pals! My only change I would make is Deadpool. He has multiple solo runs since the 90s. And is the first Special guest to help boost sales on the New X-Force book. An as for his movies go, he has probably the best in consistency. And he is compared with wolverine as a co lead in probably the next billion dollar film. So Deadpool should be "S" or at the least "A" IMO
The gambit hate is... blasphemous. Criteria that you use to upgrade tiers for other heroes you ignore when gambit meets those same criteria. Great supporting character, best rogue love interest, plenty of solo adventures, pseudo omega tier, recognizable, and s tier charisma
Okay, so juggernaught not being a mutant makes him f tier. then how can you use the phoenix force to justify making jean gray an s tier when phoenix isnt a mutant?
@@TheComicsPals using phoenix to boost jean grays ranking is a bad metric IMO. By that standard, anyone who has ever been mentally dominated by any other force stronger than them automatically becomes a higher tier. i just chose a bad way to articulate it. sad i missed x-men birthday month, excited to go through it over the next week or so
Gambit at C and Jean Grey at S is some top tier looney bin behavior. Flip them and it’s scientific and objective. Glad to see Professor X, better known as Onslaught, getting the love he deserves for his iconic event series
@TheComicsPals Gambit is way too dangerous in most situations and not to mention has an implant from Sinister preventing him going full blown Omega. 😂 how is he trash? You realize his powers aren't limited to throwing cards?
X-men is my favorite comic series and probably favorite fictional series in general. Love almost all of The X-men so most of the core team is A and S for me. Love the episode appreciatie rhe honest answers made for a fun episode.
@@TheComicsPals And I'm saying your list is busted. ; ) Some of you talk about how they haven't even read allot of the different books. (Which I get because there's SO MUCH.) I guess I'd like an intellectual analyzed ranching that discounts the fanboi effect on the writers of these things. (So many great characters don't get their due.)
@@TheComicsPals well sorry I didn't understand that you only want positive comments. Debates fun, but to say "Nobody cares!" is invalidating and disrespectful. I CARED enough to watch your stream and give my thoughts, my mistake.
No actually you’re being rude. Debate IS fun, but telling us we’re wrong and making mistakes and questioning our comics knowledge isn’t respectful at all. If you want to engage respectfully I’m all for that
