These ways of removing facial hair are different for everyone like waxing works for others and threading helps for other so just letting ya know everyone one is different.
True, but tbh waxing is not good if you do too often. It causes various wrinkles, even if you’re very young, and plus causes skin to hang due to the pulling. Plucking is the most painful, but also the least dangerous. Laser is too much technology for the skin and unnatural, sugaring doesn’t work as good, and threading can be controversial
@@lauraknightartThank god for these armchair derms, I don’t think people who went to school for it for years could live without them. I sure he already knew this and thought it didn’t exactly need to be said. But ya know, if you don’t cover every single base in a 25 second video then you must not already know.
Same I just had laser yesterday. I’m almost 30 and my hairs were starting to grow so fast and thick. My skin was so irritated from tweezing almost daily
Dude I’m 12 and I have a freaking hairy moustache every time I try to wax ( that’s the only way ) the hair doesn’t come off and now I just have a tiny but noticeable white spot on my face I look stupid
I started waxing at 13 (going to a professional) and honestly? I love it, my esthetician is kind, fun and genuinely nice to be around and does an amazing job, I love being hairless and smooth and I'd love to be hairless forever, infact I'm considering laser treatment, I see it as self love instead of self harm cause it's makes me feel good about myself and overall feel good, like a new woman, and the procedure doesn't hurt either since I'm used to it now and my hair weakened and became less and thin compared to the start, I hate being hairy, I hate the texture, feel and look of it, and being hairy genuinely bothers me, that's why I wax, but that's just my opinion
Those are the BEST methods. Shaving shoulda been the worst one… waxing helped thin it out started shaving to get it coarse to get it lasered which worked wonders.
You're so true. Shaving is the worst. My friend, my sister regret it so much cause now their hair are 3× thick and darker. So manly. Waxing is decent but painful and irritating too. So laser is something I definitely have on my list.
Shaving might make your hair darker and fuller and may need to be done more often but it doesn't damage your skin the way those other methods do. Damaged equals early aging. I'll stick to shaving.
I just had my 3rd laser session yesterday and it’s awesome. I was plucking every other day- my little lip hairs/ chin hairs were constantly popping up. I was waxing too like 2-3 times a week! My skin was always so irritated. It’s been so much better now
Do u have sensitive skin? Was there any scarring or discoloration? I suffer from pcos and my facial hair is super thick so I’m considering laser but it’s my face so I’m terrified
@@imjesssayin1706I've had laser on my facial hair several times. Only ones my face got a little red for a cuple of hours but that's it. No other side effects. Where I live, they won't laser you in the summer because of the UV, though.
As a south Asian woman laser hair removal has change my life significantly. I used to have to shave every day and would still get stubble by the end of the day. Even when I shaved my skin had small bumps and pimples and was discoloured. A few sessions of laser has made my skin soo smooth and had cleared it right up. I feel so much more confident now. The hair isn’t completely gone but I only have to shave like once a week and the hair is so much thinner and finer in texture and a lot of it is lighter in color too. Laser hair removal was the best decision I ever made. I would 100% recommend
@@mominaumer3368 i believe 6 sessions. Worth every penny. But for laser treatments you have to have certain skin color and hair type i believe. Its worth it to go in and at least get a free consultation
Waxing was efficient for me, however over time the hair got so fine it wouldn’t be able to penetrate the surface of my skin anymore so it resulted in a lot of ingrown hairs, and picking out those ingrowns caused a lot of scaring and hyperpigmentation to form. Laser hair removal zaps and completely destroys the hair strand and follicle and evens out your complexion by destroying excess built up pigment in some areas where there are scars. Laser hair removal is hands down the best invention of hair removal.
@@azkkaaa I started around 13 and I’m 18 now, I have tried threading to get those pesky ingrowns out, but most of the time I just pluck them out and use skincare that aids in inhibiting melanin so I don’t get hyperpigmentation, although I made my comment centered around laser hair removal, I am yet to start my sessions.
@@azkkaaa alpha arbutin and tranexamic acid are GOD SENDS. I use to be on a hydroquinone prescription for 2 months and (which is the gold standard for fading hyperpigmentation) and I just got off of it, but I every single time I felt like I needed to wax a little, I would stop usage of the hydroquinone a week prior to the wax and use the alpha arbutin and tranexamic acid instead.
Plucking works for me! I don’t know about lasers because I haven’t tried them, but any other method irritates the hell out of my skin! My skin has such a bad reaction that it looks downright scary!
@@mominaumer3368 it depends on everyone! I’ve been going for about a year for upkeep, but I also have very dark coarse hair. I’d say about 90% of the hair was gone in about 10 sessions and the rest has just been general upkeep to keep the hairs from coming back in. I only go about once every 12 weeks now compared to once every month.
hi i just wanted to say that electrolysis works better and is more permanent than laser especially when it comes to pcos because with electrolysis the follicle gets destroyed for good but with laser it may stimulate more hair growth in places where there wasn’t any before
I did Lazer but it just broke me out for 2 weeks to heal every time plus I have thick blonde hairs and a few darker blonde every now and then. It drives me crazy. So tired of this crap. You would think by now they'd come up with something that will get rid of blonde.
Definitely didn't need this to be said by someone who doesn't use these techniques. Every skin is different, pick what works best for your skin type and texture.
Laser hair removal costs me $3795.00 with Ideal Image, but there are way cheaper options out there. I was just desperate, however I do not regret it one bit as it helped so much with my hirsutism. I'm down to 700.00 now in terms of costs, and 4 treatments in and the hair is hardly noticeable. Also, I am black and went with the YAG laser, lots of pain but well worth it to go months without ingrown hairs and shaving.
I would suggest laser if you have more hair , electrolysis is much effective but it's more expensive, more painful and will not be done if you have more area and density as it can cause scarring, but for small areas with less hair density electrolysis is best
@@supriya2776you can do it on large areas as well (a large area on the face is still relatively small). But it's more expensive and painful. I have done it on my sideburns and it took an hour. But the lady there says that there are people who come in with hair that's more dense and do it for hours.
Epilator wasn't mentioned? The best then? I use three different ways of removing hair, prefer strip waxing on legs (use epilator if I run out of strips), for face epilator above lips and precise plucking for eyebrows. I'd reccomend these, haven't found a downside.
Facial shaving removes the dead layer of skin which exfoliates the skin if you don't want dry skin or razor burn panther your face in non foaming body cream then shave after you shave put after shave or moisturizer on. Hope this helps
Im a male and removing the hair around my lips with plucking. It's great and ends up smooth! It doesnt take too much time either and i do it once or twice a week. And I simply enjoy the process of plucking the hairs one by one.
@@Salma______ shaving on face for a woman is probably the worst thing you can do especially if u have coarse dark hair, which a razor is only going to accentuate. Razor will force you to use it 3 times as often if not more than if you used any other method. Thicker hair, acne, irritation, ingrowns there's just too many negatives. It may only feel good the first time because it also exfoliates, leaving a smooth sensation, but by the second or third day you might start to regret it. If it works for you and u don't get irritation or acne or ingrowns or anything and you don't have to shave your face two times a week then lucky you I guess, 🤷♀️ but from the way razors work I'd consider it the worst method..
I guess you have to build tolerance. For me it was a lot less painful than waxing, and I have very sensitive skin. The quicker you do it the less it will hurt.
Threading has done wonders for my top lip I have less hair their now and when it comes back it's thinner. I can also do it at home I bought thread for 99p it has lasted me years! Also really easy to do my eyebrows.
It's amazing. I have done it and got great results. If you can afford it, have the time and patience and can find a good place that does it, go for it. It's the only form of permanent hair removal.
It's individual honestly, cause some work good for some people and some just make it worse, but shaving? That often will thicken the hairs for most people while waxing will weaken and make them appear more thin, often even reduce the amount of em
@@RU-vidSupportSuckseryone knows that. When someone asks you a question in real life, do tell them "google is free" ? I guess people take any chance they can to be negative and copy other human's flaws.
Well what do you recommend? electrolysis takes years to fully be completely hair free not to mention the $$$$. Shaving works but it's an everyday thing I have good clearing products so the discoloration is not as bad as it could be but overall it's annoying.
Hair threading is the best thing that I did. I switched from laser and wax and shaving to threading and it has been the best thing that I’ve ever did but even remove the peach fuzz.
@@user-kj1hz9yh2r I don’t think it’s different at all. They use a regular laser to remove the hair, it sucks it’s so far though because you at least need to go in every four weeks for your couple first sessions
Shaving might make your hair darker and fuller and may need to be done more often but it doesn't damage your skin the way those other methods do. Damaged equals early aging. I'll stick to shaving.
Plucking is dangerous for sure, you got to watch ingrown hairs, it's painful and if you don't know what you're doing, you can pull or poke holes in your skin and cause injury. You can set up infection too. If you pluck your hair, watch for skin abrasions and *exfoliate* .
Personally, I don't get rid of the small thin hairs in my face that isn't visible, because if I start they're going to grow back and wayyyy wayyy worse. I do pluck my eyebrows-ish, only the space between, I have a naturally okay shape
Waxing gave me horrible scars on my legs because of ingrown hair. The only thing that solved it was laser, I'm not exaggerating when saying it changed my life. I think this really depends on the person's skin and experience.
I might not be a doctor but lemme tell you something. I used to have TERRIBLE ingrown hair issues, skin irritation from every form of removal... Until I tried laser. Laser is my holy grail so idk what you're talking about. It's one of the few "cosmetic" procedures I've had that actually made my life so much easier.
I’m showing signs of pcos and I’ve literally tried everything on that pyramid. Personally for me, laser has changed my life and made me significantly more confident at 20. Do whatever works best for you💕💕
The fact that sugar wax and plucking have helped reducing the thickness and rhe growth of body hair lmao. It depends on the skin type, not everything works for everyone. I'm getting laser as soon as I'm ablw to afford it, it'd maake my life easier.
Nah laser changed my life, south asian with very thick hair + post accutane beard growth, when i used to pluck the hairs on my face it would hurt, swell and turn red. No thanks, works great now the hair is much thinner
I do laser like once every 1.5 years. It's true that it's not as effective on hormonal areas like the face but it helps keep things manageable. I didn't have a lot but it was like dark peach fuzz with some thicker areas. Be prepared to do it long term though. Rest of the body has been great, hair on my legs was so thick. After 8 sessions I've had barely any growth for 1+ years now. Areas like my arms it does come back more but its finer and when I shave it lasts longer. Basically laser isn't perfect but I consider it the best option.
Laser has been so amazing for me. Half Arab girl with a literal beard to almost nothing, like fully smooth every day, looking no different to anyone else. I'm so grateful for laser. (silk Braun Pro home laser if anyone is wondering)
