The fact that you've got all three members of The Shield at 1, 2 and 3 shows how much of a linchpin the trio has been in the wrestling industry since arriving in NXT.
Honestly people want to say that Moxley is a bad wrestler however he hasn't done deathmatches all the time. It is because he bleeds alot in the ring. Tony i think has done it rarely with the male division because he knows that with the women it draws more attention.
6:55. Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero) is third-generation, not second-generation. She is the daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero and the granddaughter of Gory Guerrero.
21) Man, the Vaudvillains were one of those gimmicks that allowed for such a unique and memorable presentation. How in the world was it not kept around forever. Look at Toni Storm and Pretty Deadly for how a cartoonish presentation can get popular or appreciated.
@@lunaitc fr bo deserves it with the shit he's been thru but I don't think they are gonna give him some crappy gimmick bc he's brays brother 1 and 2 they poorly utilized him after the "bo leave gimmick" , I did like the b-team but Bo is no b plus player
Just cause Simon said it again - I as well as many others didn't hate Roman Reigns as a person or even as a wrestler. We just hated how he was booked as a babyface where he was basically being shuffed down our throuts while they were making him do wanking motions on his arm and talk about suffering suckotage. A lot of the comments were posting to just finally turn him heel and to allow him to play a more fitting role and once they did so he rose to superstardom immediatly, which means the internet was right in this case.
@@AB-rm2zuMiz was never on Big Brother. Vader's son Frank Eudy was on seasons 14 and 18 however where he was the biggest threat to win season 14 if it weren't for BB goat Dan Gheesling.
Ivelisse FKA Sofia Cortez in OVW/NXT is in her 4th world title reign with WWN's Shine Wrestling, in her 20th year of wrestling and she's been talking about retiring either this year or next year.
Man, some of these guys HHH and Regal and whoever else was running NXT at the time, really built up just to see them go to the main roster and have Vince bury them.
“Interestingly, after leaving in-ring competition she worked for WWE HQ and after that I can’t tell you.” - Translation: she became Vince’s “personal assistant” at Titan Towers and signed an NDA.
fun fact! my dad (billy moshpit) used to be mega best friends with Bram (who is now known as Thomas Latimer) and wrestled a few matches with him in UK promotions. when i was little he was a suuper sweet guy and he is overall really cool
I HATE it when people say 2nd and 3rd generation superstars are only there bc of their parents but NEVER mention the massive shadow they live in! Great video Simon keep it up!
@@tomseville2345 Whats your point? EVERY wrestler takes moves from the past guys. It changes nothing. Guys who fail get laughed at and those who succeed dont get credit. Its bullshit
@@tonyvillicana7117 She took her first wrestling bump before she was even born; her mum was pressed onto her dad on the floor during a British match, and her mother found out she was pregnant later on... ...good job dad didn't pull a Sim Snuka...
I know he has some negative stuff but feel like Kenneth Cameron should be higher. The Ascension was THE team for FCW/NXT with all the push in the world, and then he had a fairly successful career since then so being below guys with one or two wins seems odd. Maybe his personal issues but in wrestling if we take those in that cuts half our legends out unfortunately.
The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose Jon Moxley whatever you call him he was always the man he needed the less guidance out of the three shield members because from day one you could tell he knew what to bring to the company honestly despite being screwed over by the WWE because of their multiple failed attempts to put Roman over and despite Rollins getting the bigger push earlier he always managed to outdo everyone on the roster. There's no doubt in my mind if he made his return he's most likely going to be the one to dethrone a big star Roman Reigns or even Cody Rhodes.
Brad Maddox won't be remembered for any of those things you mentioned. But, he will be remembered for a certain little home video he & Paige (Saraya) made.
I liked Krueger, wish he had a shot on the main roster but he’d probably get turned into a creeper character. Man for me 2013-2016 was peak NXT. Seeing some of these names brings back so many good match memories.
Jake Carter went to japan and teamed with his father as Big Van Vader Jr. wore the gear and i think he had his own Mastadon helmet too! He now runs his pop's instagram page.
I'm waiting until the end of the list to make sure my comment doesn't have to change before I post it. Good list, I definitely wouldn't have put Sasha above Charlotte but other than that, spot on.
The top 3 are spot on but I will argue, you could switch all of them around and none would be the wrong answer. They changed everything and it's hard to think of a faction that has done that for this long and never dropped from the top of the card.
I like Seth more as a heel. I was hoping he would have a ‘godfather’ type gimmick opposite the bloodline using his influence from his authority days to form a heel mafia inspired faction. They could have even feuded with the Wyatt family in a style and suffocation vs the bayou type feud to establish themselves before survivor series where they would have feuded with the bloodline. It just feels like he didn’t use anything that he got by being the protege of hhh and Steph.
summer rae was glossed over with no mentions of being fandango's ballroom dance partner. byron saxon was also in tough enough, before fcw. if corey graves had a shirt it would have a quote "this doesn't bode well..." applied to different situations. "i am hungry. this doesn't bode well for my stomach." a constant crutch during his commentary.
wait, what the heck? i guess i havent heard simon miller talking for ages, but why has his whole way of speaking totally changed? the intonation and the cadence....man, weird.
Honestly people want to call out Moxley for being bad in the ring but he was actually better as a promo compare to alot of other wrestlers. People when they rank him between the Shield Members put him in the very bottom but to be honest i think that due to booking of his character and Mick Foley retiring there was a lot of missed opportunity.
I mean to be fair, Jason Jordan is mixed race so they could’ve played the story line with Kurt angle better, the only thing that tainted that story line for me is we’ve already saw his parents in tv when they won the SMACKDOWN tag team tittles you could see Jordan black father and white mother. Which destroyed the illusion.
About Leo/Adam Rose and Brad Maddox; you missed that when Rose turned heel on the main roster, a Donnie Darko-style bunny started randomly appearing in the aisle and ringside during his matches, not acknowledged by the announcers; like we were seeing the contents of Adam's mind and the announcers couldn't (Warrior in the mirror/Hogan/Bischoff-style) 🤣🤣...and that Brad was released with cause after calling the fans "entitled pricks" during a dark match promo; Vince was pissed at his language, while Brad thought that off-air, even *he* could use profanity. He couldn't...
things NXT should be • Full on development with rookies • No world travelled veterans • Not on tv or anything else and it shouldn't be better than the main roster
I feel you've under valued Bo. He was NXT champion and raw tag champion which is a lot more than a few higher on the list managed even if he was miss used.
This video was recorded a while ago. Simon isn’t in the UK at the moment so all his videos are being filmed in American hotel rooms. this is one clearly filmed in a proper recording studio so that could be the reason.
@@Miguel-mp7uz of course i know that but if you hear ups and downs you can tell the audio is of a lot less quality In the hotel room compared to this video. So my point still stands
