Goddammit I've never been officially diagnosed but I relate to Ranpo so much! 😂Definitely he seems to have some kind of neurodivergent thing going on, I was thinking more along the lines of ADHD though. Then again, the two conditions can be tricky to sus out since they overlap in many ways and sometimes people can have both ADHD and Autism lol. Edit: Seriously though rewatching the part at 1:15 and the anime episode about the origins of the detective agency (which I presume is what this scene is based on) really hurts because of how much I can relate. I often feel like kind of an outsider, like an alien, but I can't tell if I'm just imagining things because of social anxiety or if my perceptions are real. It feels like other people tend to look at me kind of strangely and think of me as a bit odd. They seem surprised by my ways of thinking, and I've been called "cute" a couple of times just for being myself. I'm guessing by "cute" they mean pure/naive? I think it's meant to be a compliment and it kind of is but it also feels a little infantilizing... It's embarrassing how many things I don't know, too, that other people know or it feels like I should know by now. Sorta like Ranpo and the train thing, there's a lot of little stuff like that I don't really know. Ask me to write an essay about Jungian psychology? No problem. Ask me to figure out which bus route to take or even just how to make spaghetti and I might have a problem.
@@jazzy17340 Sorry I only just now saw this reply after coming back to watch the video again! Glad to know I'm not the only one lol. It's hard to feel like an adult when people talk about these "basic" things I don't really know about or have experience with. And when I tell people my age they often act surprised because they thought I was much younger. *sigh*

Not because of ranpo but he was and and still is one of my favorite and comfort characters that i both relate and aspire to and i first got into bsd around rhe same time i started suspecting whether i was autistic (2021). Fast forward to now and it's been two years since being diagnosed both with autism and ADHD 😄
