@@peos13 at this point we basically need true resistance to counter the true damage and resist shredding shit & damage increasing. It'd be nice to have a guaranteed baseline level of resistances. At this point I genuinely want them to change Sion passive to % damage reduction per X CS. You'd finally feel tanky and it'd keep all his build flexibility while reducing his exploitation of certain mechanics (demolish and HP scaling damage) AND it'd make his late game power fantasy stronger.

You gotta say it precisely, to make people realize just how much tanks can do against these items, "soft counters", Both Divine sunderer and Goredrinker ignore bramble vest, and they both heal the same amount regardless of the opponents armour. In other words, the only thing a tank can do against them, is to build dmg, and an AP/bruiser grevious wounds item.

The resistances are similar to what they used to be... when you hit 3-5 items. On one item, no mythic compares to old sunfire cape in how much tankiness it offered. The real problem in the game is the amount of early game sustain bruisers have access to. What's the point of being tanky, when your opponent can sustain through your damage to cut you down? So riot balances this by moving tank items' power from tankiness to damage... then you get non-tanky tanks.

Not really, Tanks can go sunfire for dmg. But tank items in general need to be adjusted in a way imo.

Tank should have everfrost active or something that help cc No point having survivability if enemy can just ignore u

For that to happen they have to make another shattered crown type item or to completly change the item system like divine sunder,

and at this point it cant be armour/mr. you need sth like "recieves 10% reduced dmg" or stuff like that

As a top main, I despise tanks being meta. Not because they're tanky, but because you do much better as a low resource tank than a fed bruiser. A Tahm with two items will ALWAYS be more useful than a Jax or even an Aatrox especially in a meta where (well EVERY META is this) bot diff is the winning factor.

You can do it. Just get 5k golds ahead and don’t take fights, stay in base and wsit for the adc/bruiser/supp/mage/jungler to back. Now you are a bit more safe. Be careful tho.

I dont care if they have a good experience in pro play. when 99.9% of the player base is on soloqueue then thats how a game should be optimized. Also bruisers are the strongest in the game fo rquite some time. And divine is a tank melter while also giving HP Lifesteal etcetc. We have seen in over and over. Play tank enemy build divine tank die bruiser 100%hp .

there are full time emplyoees analyzing and shifting the numbers (balancing the game) so the game gets as much play time as possible (be fun). and this is the result. people enjoy lot of dmg and lot of healing and they dont care that much for the game to be "fair". everyone just wants to go in and survive with 20 hp having the feeling that he/she made the 1 v 9 outplay.

This will never end. Back in S6 and S7, if you play a bruiser, you're reported. Should've played one of the THREE tanks picked during those times or a mage. I refuse to go back to such a time. Tune down the damage, bump up the survivability JUST A BIT. I want my Black Cleaver to DEAL with tanks like it used to. Bring back the %health damage on fully carved targets.

Although tanks are worse ATM, tanks and bruisers are not the same and do not fill the same role . In short tanks are very good against high dmg low defence champs whilst bruisers are usually good vs low dmg high defence champs (with exceptions like aatrox )

Items like Cleaver used to deal with tanks well but wasn't unbalanced, now you have 1 item that completely nullifies tank stats (sunderer) , and BOTRK shreds through everything plus gives a shit ton of healing. I dunno, I just miss how it used to be.

Aatrox was complete garbage before the buff and was legit only kinda high pickrate in masters+ euw (it was 5% is plat+ global) but his winrate was still garbage across the board. He's just complaining because he's an ad sion main and aatrox shits on ad sion.

Not only Bruisers are tankier, but Divers are also tankier, cause for some reason, riot decided to rework Death's Dance for Divers instead of Bruisers, so it doesn't matter how much damage you deal to him, cause he will negate all of that if he kills someone, which he will fucking easily do.

you are correct, even when tanks are better than bruisers the players still pick bruisers, thats not only because they can be more fun for the people than tanks, is also because a traditional tank is more dependant his team(thats why riot give more dmg to tanks), meanwhile a bruiser can 1v1 anyone or 1v5 if they are feed.

I love playing tanks but in this meta its not even fun anymore. Fiora and vayne kill you in 5s lategame even with full tank no dmg build while not having penetration items, and I dont like the fact that I can solo kill a fed adc when im full tank and behind just because my items make me do more damage than tank. The only thing good to do is to remove sunderer, take at least 70% of sunfire damage, make titanic a lil bit less damaging and take out the bullshit target max health based true damage, its the most anti-game and toxic mecanic ever, you cant build anything but damage against it

he wasn't complaining about aatrox being op, he was complaining that the champ got buffed (his winrate in 12.4 was 52.57%). also, he had a 52.15% winrate with the recommended runes (in 12.4 its 55.3%). his doran's blade + healing pot start had a 50.05% winrate and was used in 725 of 1823 games, this is ~39.7% of games played with aatrox in 12.3 (his recommended start was the same for 12.4, but with 53.15% winrate and it was used in ~36.7% of games). another important stat is that aatrox had a 40.38% against sion in 12.3, and 56% in 12.4. also, in the recommended items for 12.3, everything has 56% or more winrate with starting items being the only exception. also, why do you care so much about the big red winrate number? you could literally go to the page yourself and find a better number just scrolling down, his skill priority has a 49.2% winrate in 12.3 with it being used in 1553 games of 1823 total, around 85% of games. using that number as a reference it isn't crazy to say that he didn't need a buff. you can check all the stats on the same page, using the filters: masters+, patch 12.3/12.4 and EUW

Winrate doesn't tell you anything about if the champ is op or not.... For example if you buff a champ who will have good WR% it will eventually drop around 50% WR sooner or later. It's just math.

try winning late game as a Sion vs a Darius, Camille, Fiora etc, is either really hard or just plain impossible imo.

@@DommySalami731 err.. the whole concept of "Late Game Tank Sion" or Late Game Tank-anything at all has disappeared ever since Divine Sunderer became a thing and turn LoL into League of One-Shots. 12% Max HP deleted off of you so someone like Fiora can literally 3-4 shot you even with 7k HP since it'll delete 25%-33% of your HP whenever she hits a Vital (depending on whether she also has BOTRK). Then there's the fact that it also makes your defenses not matter since it gives a +5% armor and magic penetration for legendary items (so full-build you'd have 20-25% pen on both damage types), so building armor is also not a bright idea to fight against it. Even worse is that this isn't even accounting for the champions that build both Divine Sunderer and Blade of the Ruined King, which also has an on-hit 12% CURRENT HP per hit, which makes lethal tempo users top lane even worse to fight against, making playing as a Tank impossible top lane since all of this stacks with Lord Dominik's Regards which also adds another factor that cripples tanks even further, Critical Strike damage. All in all, you'll have like 50% of your Armor not matter + since you have huge HP bars, you take even bigger damage thanks to LDR further supplementing their already huge damage. Also, ADCs are always squishy (I particularly feel this pain because I play ADC a lot and can still easily get one-shotted by a 0/6 bruiser top laner if I get caught in a CC). Doesn't matter how far ahead an ADC is, if they get caught out, they're prime targets for one-shotting since they don't exactly have any defenses nor do they have extended HP bars (usually maxing out at 1.8k-2.1k HP at lv 18) or if they do not have any form of sustain (lifesteal items). And as seen in the video, Vayne was 2 levels below Sion and dashed into Sion's fully charged Q when Sion was built full AD lethality, in other words, not a Tank build, an Assassin Sion Build which is specially built for one-shotting and is also squishy, only being "tanky" because of his extended HP bar that is the result of his stacking W passive, which again, is completely mitigated by the existence of Divine Sunderer.

Tried playing on an old low elo account, I won 4/8 on a tank in gold elo range, in out of these 8 games, I lost lane once, went equal 5 times, and won twice. 8/10 games on adc, one of them against 90% wr twitch + yuumi boost duo. 8 won lanes, two equal ( one against the twitch + yuumi, the other one with our jungler + mid camping fcking ally mordekaiser, and enemy amumu+malzahar just flash ulting us) 11/16 games won on mostly a fcking garen/ tryndamere. First game as trynda? Got counterpicked by malphite and won lane, sadly wasn't able to get fed quickly enough and lost, The other two? Complete domination with over 20 kills, then 12 garen games, lost lane once, to a vayne top, 11 dominated lanes. And that's on a fcking champ who is completely out of meta, and has no skill expression.

Ornn's abilities are not that hard to dodge. Just turn left or right and he won't combo you with QWE+auto combo.

People seem to forget this fact. Tank meta is the most boring and unskilled meta along with enchanter + hypercarry meta. I’ll ask this, how did Tahm Kench feel before they nerfed his toplane? It was completely unplayable, now imagine if all tanks were like that. Or the sunfire or Chemtank meta at the start of S11 where Amumu and Malphite just rolled over everything or Udyr, Hecarim or Mundo just zoomed into your face and “outskilled” you by stat checking you to oblivion.

What bruiser item? Sunderer?.. and thats it? All bruiser items AND tank item arent good. DD is for assasins now, bruiser like garen, darius sett etc. wont build it. All "broken" bruisers are skirmischer like Camile, Fiora, Irelia, Trynda (Jayce) etc.

The only unbalanced item is sunderer. The item counters tanks in three ways: -it heals based on pre-mitigation % dmg which doesnt care about tanks resistances -deals %dmg -gives mixed %pen I think the big problem here is the healing, as a tank it feels so bad knowing that cant literally buy anything from getting outsustained in sidelane. Also considering that Bramble's doesnt affect the first sheen proc healing is ridiculous. Make the healing based on postmitigation and give it 100/150 HP back. That would solve a few things. Apart from sunderer there arent any problematic items. Goredrinker is a nice item for AD casters which happens to be build by a fair amount of OP melee toplaners. Olaf also goes but he's shit atm. The problem is not the item, it's Fiora, Irelia, Riven and such. BOTRK is not a bruiser item in a strict sense but it's OP as hell right now. Its changes should be reverted and maybe buff it in other way but 12% dmg is too much
