Keynote presentation presented at IABM Annual International Business Conference and Awards from The World's Greatest Living Explorer, Sir Ranluph Fiennes
I was privileged to meet Sir Ranulph whilst he was doing this particular tour. He was due to give this talk at the local theatre in Yeovil, UK and, thanks to the non-sensible road system within that town, he could not find his way to the theatre. He had stopped to ask directions and I was lucky it was me whom he asked. To explain the route would have been too difficult (Yeovil IS that bad), so I got a 10 minute car trip with one of my absolute heroes. En-route we chatted about various things and I was blown away with how down to earth and enigmatic this man is. I can see why people offer their services free of charge to help him on his various challenges! The chap was an absolute gent, offering me complimentary tickets and to give me a lift home after the show. Even at the book signing afterwards, he recognised me and again offered me a lift. The queue behind me was enormous so I thanked him and wished him a safe trip home.So glad I found this clip, it has brought back good memories. Thank you for posting it.
Awesome man to meet. Our first meeti g was when they called at Saldanha Bay (South Africa) during the Trans Globe Expedition and many years later in Cape Town at the start of The coldest journey when I was envited to the pre departure breakfast.
Wow, crazy stuff!! Enchanting!! Never heard of him but just ordered a book from him! Should be great!! Been on an alpine climbing kick and have been watching stuff about it for last 2-3 weeks LMFAO!! CAN'T stop watching! This was a nice change of pace! Thank you much! 🙌🙌
