This is the best tutorial on you tube that made me understand calculations on vapour pressure as well as why a solute decreases boiling point of liquids. Mucha gracias❤
Wouldn't the composition of the mixture change when molecules would enter the vapour phase? At the start, there is no vapour pressure, but at equilibrium, the composition is no longer the same as this. Or were we asked to evaluate as if that was the equilibrium composition?
you mentioned a thing in the video that when calculating the vapor pressure of a salt containing solution you just multiply the mole fraction of the salt by zero, but if that was the case the vapor pressure wouldn't change, and it does, right? can you further explain that or is that a mistake?
plz someone tell me how to slove this question-if 20 grams of NaCl is mixed with 100ml of water so that vapour pressure changes from 2 atm to 1.5 atm, what will be the mole fraction of NaCl and water
