In a big picture, Thailand is beautiful and most of her people are kind... The problem is that of struggling to control/hold on to the power at the top by the far-right groups (backed by the Army and rich/elite few) threatened by the new immerging democracy groups. Basically, the political situation in Thailand has been very unstable for over 85+ years. On many occasions, people were accused, jailed, and killed by the dictatorship governments( they got to be in the power by the coup d'etat, including the current government 4+ years ago).
