I agree! Fantastic games, every map. This stuff shows why quake should still be the biggest game in e-sports for pure entertainment value. These guys should be playing with millions of dollars on the line. Also, bonus if you watched the practice games and can see how Rapha has adapted to Raisys crazy skills on awoken.

@@FlorianDootz placement was perfect exactly this quakecon, cuz of roundrobin system in group-stage(rapha said roundrobin shows placement the best way). Killsen lost to Cooller 2-1 in group-stage so it's pretty much what "Just one more video" said, cuz killsen wasnt THAT awesome as he was in final match. Cooller just insta gave up.
Casters were painful to listen to. Would like some casters who have meaningful comments about the game and strategy, not someone narrating what's on the screen.
This game is literally the most entertaining fps to watch. Unfortunately I don't have the gaming pc to play it but if i had i would 100% play it. Wish you all well.
The prizes are very low to compete and to be a quakecon final, we have to look for better sponsors since in the early 2000s there were prizes in quake categories that reached $150,000.00 USD.
Well first place is more. And if you win many tournaments which is held all over the world all of the time, the money will stack up. But yea unless you are in the top you wont get rich, but then again how many people gets rich doing what they do? Also sacrifice their life? How about them actually wanting to do this for a living?
This is Quake con. Most of these people are from QPL, they pay them just to play. But Quake Con is a lan event. Anyone can join to win. Its not a league, why would the prize be big?
Honestly I find it pretty stupid, that rapha got rated 3rd and not 2nd since he had the same amount of wins and losses as killsen but a better ROUND W/L ratio and difference.

Killsen won more 2-0 flaw victories which rewards more points. its not stupid.
@@sghostriley In total yes, in ratio and difference no. Also clearly the statistics dont take the direct matchups into consideration obviously. Isn't it in most sports the same? That the difference in goals for example matters more than the total amount of goals?
God, that intro is so cringy and what are those nicknames? The professor? God slayer? What is this, 6th grade? And the announcers really had a hard time the whole game, it's like Bethesda told them to make the script as embarrassing and tiring as humanly possible. I feel like how I was feeling when I played Wolfenstein Youngblood and I really want to forget that.
50:43 Can anybody tell me what is that 13?! of RL splash dmg that was very close? Anyway, this was an awesome 4 map. Both of them were great. Nice plays, was close.
@@dariusus9870 The maeaning of the sentence is that, it is strange to damage 13 only with that very close splash. Should be 30dmg or more. It is just another moment that shows how shit is this game engine.
Why are the casters all the time going off on how raisy's LG is so much better when its clearly not? He's using it more, sure but accuracy was the same for both and hes just using rockets and rail less. Like it's straight up not a thing that his lg is mentionably better.
What "professor"? That's czm. Also RAISY as new blood? He's playing Quakes for 15+ years. I love (not) how Dj Wheat can talk about absolutely nothing for minutes straight.
@@odellus More like ~8 years, and that still doesn't change the fact that he's the 'professor', not The Raffer. No person playing a game for 15+ years is 'new blood'. He was playing Quakes since he was like 5 or something, so he was an old school veteran when he started to play QC. In QL, he was a 'random' all-time +back1800-2000 elo guy, and needed a watered down Quake (QC) to getting recognized. He didn't become good in a day, it's just that the old games didn't really compliment his style hence he couldn't really stick out from the crowd.
