Coaching from the non strikers end for the world to hear is pretty embarrassing for the other batsman and continuing to do it after they were out is unnecessary, go up to them and explain or talk afterwards, you weren’t exactly playing him with ease due to the bowler and pitch. Sometimes if the person you’re batting with is too vocal (every ball) it’s extremely disruptive and off putting. Good videos tho 👍
@@richardesses7484 thank you, on reflection maybe but it wasn’t from a bad place. Honestly just saying what I see to help and encourage. Hopefully that’s what comes across. Thanks for the comment though
@@matthewjohns825 im hardly a nightmare to bat with because of this.. trying to help out my team mates and encourage them against quick bowling were not used to that much in the league we play.. the guys I batted with said it was really helpful to keep encouraging them! Anyway no worries. Thanks for the comment anyway, all the best if you play tomorrow 👍✅
I was waiting for the rapid bowler? But, anything quicker than medium on that pitch is going to be challenging. I was concerned about the umpire claiming the waist high full toss had bounced? He must be fun on LBW shouts? When it is up and down like that (it didn't look like a quick pitch) you have to play straight batted shots in a V. If it pops, stay in line and use the pace to fine leg or 3rd man. I faced Lance Klusener on a similar type of wicket (less grass fortunately), and it was the only way to score runs (without being killed).
tell me about it. Got a shocker of a ball!! When your lucks out!! If it wasn’t for Ben I wouldn’t have a video. No Ben, no party!! I didn’t get him a beer but lots of useful advise and confidence boosting is worth more than a beer isn’t it? 😂😂They both batted so well I could have added so much more footage in of them both being solid!
Looks like your club could do with recruiting a qualified Umpire. I don't know what the rules are in your league but in the division I umpire in if only one team turns up with an umpire then they do both ends & the batting side just do square-leg.
