What is all this saying to people? Anybody else who’s been through similar circumstances might look at this and say “I can commit a horrible deed and become a celebrity.” Even though she was being abused, she had other options to get away from her mother. She could have gotten out of her wheelchair on one of their excursions to the mall and told security to call the police. Then her mother would have been in jail for a long time for fraud.

because she was a victim of psychological, physical (and implied sexual) abuse since she was an infant. her mother mutilated and imprisoned her. it doesn’t excuse murder but she’s repented for her crimes, has served time and is doing her best to help victims of abuse so they don’t follow in her footsteps.

Her entire childhood she was abused by her mom and had to live as if she was disabled though she wasn't, then her ex bf killed the mom and then she was locked up for years. She's had a rough time for a long time. She has never been out in the world like this so I guess she doesn't feel comfortable yet with strangers and he's there to ground her.
Jorden Turpin rescued herself and 12 siblings from some parents that were likely to punish her severely if she was not successful. Those children were so abused they had to spend weeks in hospital before they were well enough to leave hospital. Jorden did exactly the right thing and no one was murdered. Jorden didn’t have other adults in her life that she could go to, like a father and very kind step mother, or sister. I would be more frightened of my mother finding me in men’s bathroom having sex with stranger. Apparently Gypsy wasn’t too afraid to do that.
there's no use in comparing them, everyone handles their trauma differently. there's a huge difference between 12 siblings and being the main focus of abuse because you are an only child. apples to oranges. she will meet her fate just like we all will.

The mother did terrible things to her, and she and her boy friend killed her mother when she was 23… She was charged with second degree murder and he was charged with first.,, she got sentenced to ten years.. she has just been released after 8 and a half years… She is generally a good person… and her boyfriend was crazy and he is still in jail… that’s just a little bit of when happened

She still planned the murder, set out everything her ex would need. Told him the knife, gloves were on the porch. That the door was squeaky so to come in quietly, texted him when her mom took her sleeping pill. She’s not a good person like they make her out to be. Yes, she went through hell. But she herself said her mom taught her to be this master pathological liar. She coerced someone who has many mental health issues, as well as being autistic (which a lot of the times they can be easily manipulated 😞). She gets to go live her life like a celebrity basically.
