This is a great video. I have been looking at this RapidAir kit and had several questions. You answered every one of those questions in a really clear and thorough video! Thanks!

Nice job with laying out everything you need and planning the system.

It's a really easy system to work with. Shortly after finishing this installation, we ended up selling our house and moving. So I took the entire system down and reused it in my next garage. Easy to put up, easy to modify, etc.

Nice video. I have this same air system in our garage and love how easy the install was and how customizable the set up is.

I agree. I spent more time planning how to route the lines than I did installing them, haha.

Very detailed information and video. i've seen those 90 degree fitting before, but never seen them where you pull on the fitting for them to release.

Lime thanks for watching. Yes those quick release fittings make it super easy to work with. I was impressed.

Thanks. It’s been a great system. Over the years I’ve taken it down and moved it to 3 different garages. Still works great.

Thanks for watching. The system has been really easy to work with. We recently moved to a new house, so I took down the air lines from the old place and reinstalled everything in the new place. Super easy to take apart!

Did you need 3/8 npt to 1/4 npt adapter for the whip hose?

Sooo..pretty much anyplace you had to use an adapter with a smaller internal diameter then the 3/8 fittings haven't you introduced a "coke point" effectively nullifying all the advantages of the larger diameter fittings ? With the exception of having a larger air buffer in the hose, etc.

Thanks for the video. Unlike the Max Line air system product, what looks like plastic t-connectors and 90 degree connectors - are convenient - but not not threaded connectors. What is your experience with air leakage.
@ScrufsGarage
@ScrufsGarage Год назад
I don't believe the push lock connectors are a perfect seal. The system will leak down over a day or two. I don't typically leave the system pressurized, so it's not an issue for me. And any leakage is small enough that it doesn't affect volume/pressure during use. So I think your assessment is accurate. The push lock connectors are very convenient, but if you need a system that has zero leaks and can hold constant pressure for days, then the threaded type connectors are probably a better solution.

How are the rapid air push fittings holding up? I just installed this kit yesterday and every fitting after the regulator leaks at the push lock fittings.
@ScrufsGarage
@ScrufsGarage Год назад
No issues, though I don’t typically leave the system pressurized when I’m not working in the garage. Make sure you have a nice square cut on the hose and that it’s fully pushed into the fitting. Hope you’re able to get the leaks sorted out. 👍

Nice video but,,, you have a vet and no drywall?
@ScrufsGarage
@ScrufsGarage 4 года назад
Drywall would have been nice but that would have required completely pulling out all of the shelving, lighting, etc. Just wasn't worth the expense/effort. But it certainly would have made heating the garage more efficient.

Can you measure how wide the manifolds are? I have a metal carport style building/shop and wondering if it will mount to the metal studs.
@ScrufsGarage
@ScrufsGarage 5 лет назад
Overall, the manifolds are 2" wide by 3" tall. Center to center for the mounting holes they are 1.5" x 2.5". Hope that helps!

As long as it's 18 gauge does if not you'll have to put a wood block on the side of it 2 by 4

I would at least use a separator by that’s me
@ScrufsGarage

Agreed, the unit I installed is a regulator with a filter/separator. But I did not install a desiccant drier.
