O! I hope I live long enough to be able to acquire an O1 - a real Kentish light railway favourite! Well done, Rapido (and your W & U tramcars are lovely, too - I've ordered a second one...)
Thank you for announcing the O1's and especially No. 31065. As someone born in Hawkhurst 3 years before the line closed, and just starting my first model railway layout, I have an obvious fondness and interest in the Hawkhurst Branch. I may need to buy 2 of your lovely looking models. 😃
Great selection, especially 'chuffed' with the SECR O1 - gorgeous! The J52 is also a nice update on the Hornby model, esp in the GNR livery. Double chuffed I guessed 3 of the 4 from your hints earlier in the week 😀 - the J52 did cross my mind though. I'm still holding out for a GWR Bulldog or Saint, one day *sigh* - but this is a lovely selection, and far more inspiring than some manufacturers 'non-announcements' of endless duplications / livery rehashes of existing mass produced models (or at the other end, random 1-off locos). Good for you Rapido - thankyou and keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing these 'in the flesh / metal'!
Hope you can make even more Great Northern Locos in the future. I’d be all up for an upgraded N2 or the first ever Henry Oakley. Saw the figures of the railway children in the other day’s video. Could that be potentially teasing a future product or is it just a cute little reference?
Thank you so much Rapido and Locomotion Models for rereleasing No.1. This beautiful model has been scalped for obscene prices on ebay for far too long and I couldn't be more excited for an affordable version of this. Love your work and this shows how much you care, already made my order, again, thank you to the whole team for your dedication for making these models.
Some beautiful announcements but the one I’m waiting for the full announcement for the S160s. Can’t wait to see what liveries and numbers will be offered 😁
So happy to see more industrials being produced in ready to run, especially the famous and well known Alfred and Judy... gives us industrial more to play with! Can't wait for em, as well as the new run of the Stirling Single and brand new J52! Exiting times!!!
Nice engines, but make sure they are not released without you checking for little issues somewhere first. Your rolling stock models are nice but pricey. Dapol could teach you about getting quality and price on par with each other. I don't have much longer to wait for Dapol Foxcote Manor to arrive.
This will be exciting! Edit: Oh my! I knew you guys wouldn’t disappoint, but the return of the Single Wheeler, an announcement of two new pre-grouping locos, both of which I have wanted for ages, plus more industrials!? That is so exciting! I’m already tempted to buy at least one (if not more than just one livery) of each of the three new locomotives you announced, I’m excited, but at the same time, my bank account will hurt!! Amazing announcements, keep up the terrific work!!!
Their Twitter post yesterday had "Single" with a capitol S. So here's hoping it's a rerun of the Sterling so I can buy one without having to sell a kidney
I model in 0 gauge but being a sentimental old fool I just bought the Titfield Thunderbolt deluxe train pack as, fortunately, my wife has started to build her very own 00 layout. The quality of Thunderbolt is truly amazing and I can only imagine how good these locos will be. What truly amazes me about RTR is the liveries they can replicate. I would sorely be tempted if they produced the Ivatt C1 in GNR livery. I built a C1 in 0 gauge and there is no way I good finish it in GNR livery as the lining out is very complex.
Outstanding, put me down for a couple of O1's. Random question, is that picture of 31064 actually taken on the hawkhurst branch? I've been trying to find pictures of goods trains on the line and I think you have accidentally provided me one!
I have the SECR No. 373 on pre-order. Hopefully, they won't sell out too quickly, if they are as good as I am anticipating I might pick up 65 to make an SECR Green Set. Was 373 one of the class to have steam heating? The picture you of her in the video seems to show it. But I am no expert.
They are having the finishing touches applied at the factory at the moment (the locos are taking a little longer than the coaches) and should be being shipped soon.
