Tear was made by yoongi at the time they thought about breaking up. The lyrics speak volumes about it. Yoongi said that when he showed the lyrics to the members they all cried together🥺

Tae can’t stop crying even during the interview backstage, he can’t speak and was just sobbing. They are really affected when Jin mentioned the disbandment. They talked more about it during their Festa dinner 2018 and Tae mentioned that everyone helped him during those times but Suga’s words when he sent him a message helped the most, same with JK, he also received message from Suga. Let go is also one emotional song.

Oh wow. Thanks for letting me know. I'll have to watch that Festa Dinner. Seeing them like this and knowing what they went through, just makes me want to give them a hug!!

Looking back, ARMYs watching this live (myself included) were so confused why they were so emotional about winning. Knowing everything they had accomplished from 2017 to the end of 2018 (when this award show took place), I think it was obvious to everyone (at least to ARMY) that BTS would win this award. So when they started talking about being surprised to win, a lot of ARMY assumed they were just being their regular humble selves. It wasn’t until the very end of the speech when Jin brought up disbandment that everything started to make sense. To them, thanks to the pressure of their success, 2018 had been a hard year when they started to lose themselves as artists (which rippled into affecting their relationship; hence the lyrics of TEAR). We never got the full explanation until a year or 2 later but, to them it was kind of like a miracle that they made it to the end of the year as BTS to receive that award. Hence, Jin thanking the members for being able to comeback together, refocus, and continue as BTS.

And they’ve actually kind of spoken about it during that time but most definitely after everything was resolved. I remember Jimin made either a VLIVE or a log where he was talking about the state of the group and how things weren’t going too well. Which obviously happens to every group but it was in the midsts of their rise so, it caught me off guard. But then they spoke about it like 1-2 years later with their docuseries and kinda alluded to it with their 2018/2019 FESTA discussions.

I can't imagine having watched that live and understanding what they were going through! My heart! Realizing what they went through, how they persevered, how they came back together - it's just incredible. It makes me appreciate everything during/after that even more. Like undrestanding MOTS more. I get it now. Just wow. Especially after watching Jimin's vlive! Wow. ❤️❤️ - Editing Jo

This speech happened at the tail end of Love Yourself Era (2017-2018): DNA + Fake Love + Idol = Love Yourself Era And the discussions about disbandment happened early 2018 when they were preparing for their Fake Love comeback (which was released early 2018). That was because they skyrocketed to success in the West very randomly in 2017, so all of a sudden they had the whole world watching them despite never intending on entering the US market. So there was a lot of pressure to follow up 2017 and the success of DNA. That’s all they’ve let us know from their documentary series.

The way I see it, I don't think it was tension between the members that made them have those discussion. They mentioned how they were afraid of all the success they were getting and probably the pressure that comes with it. I think they were just exhausted.

I also believe it was not about the members. It was the stress and pressure they were under. They were really blowing up at that point and everything had to be overwhelming. I remember one of them saying there was no other group they could look to for a 'road map' on how to navigate this level of fame. In one of the Run episodes around this time when they each wrote a letter to the group I believe yoongi wrote about how cold and lonely it was up this high but how grateful he was to have his six brothers to get thru it with. 💜

@@ttucker330 without them mentioning (didn't they say that Mic Drop was the last time they were going to acknowledge the haters), I'm thinking that it could have also been the death threats and netizens? as they got bigger I"m guessing it made their hater-base bigger and more jealous?

Oh the vlive....lmao j-hope was fine!!! He was smiling and dancing through the entire vlive and giggling with army. He was fine. "I'm not okay" was him reading a comment by army in the chat...you know when people are so excited they say "I AM NOT OKAY" He smiled when he read it, he also said some running jokes he has with the other bts memebers saying "sorry for my fault" which they say to each other as a joke. He was just a bit more subdued than he is other times which is not bad, it was just late at night. This is why its important to watch bts content YOURSELF instead of depending on youtube and tiktok army wrongly interpreting things, making up facts etc. Please go watch the vlive, actually DO A REACTION to it. He was so happy, it was AMAZING!! It's so infuriating seeing people claim he was depressed when clearly if they had watched his vlive they'd know for sure that he was great and he loved having fun with Army. Its heartbreaking to see him spend an hour with us smiling and dancing and then see people pretend he never did that. Do they even care about him if they're making up stories like this? T_T

Oh that's so good to hear! I remember seeing all those videos/shorts about it - so many people were worried about our sunshine Hobi! The more that I get to know them, the more I love the inside jokes and whatnot. I started watching more of the VLIVE's when they were here in LA after each concert. It's fun to do it while they are actually live - but it's hard when it's not quite translated yet. Learning a language is so hard! Real life doesn't come with subtitles ... but at least all these k-dramas are helping ;) We just did a session of filming with our next guest but didn't have a chance to do a reaction to a VLIVE. Maybe next time though! It'd be fun. They are so chaotic - I love when they crash each others VLIVE's! ie when Jin crashed Hobi's like five million times HAHAHA. So funny! - Editing Jo

Jimin filmed a vlog in April of 2018 where he talked about the hard times they had in the early part of the year. They waited a year before uploading it. By then everyone knew they had considered disbanding. Watching it with that historical context made it even more sad to see that he had been hurting. Thanks for the link. Just watched it, its heartbreaking to see Jimin who is always smiling for Army go through something like that(all of them actually). I can see that BTS really loves Army in a way no other artists(my own opinion)may have done so. It seem that all their decisions as artists eventually boils down on what Army will like, which makes me appreciate and love them even more. As a new Army I am happy now that they were able to resolve this issue the way they did and had progressed as a group and artists from that point onwards, so that I can still watch them and enjoy their performances this past year(when "I found" them) up to now.

@@blazeyo.1554 I’m pretty new ARMY, too. It hurts to see their past pain but at least we’re comforted to know that they have gotten through it. As for the group’s love for ARMY, I’ve never seen such genuine love for their fans from any artist before. I’m 50 so I’ve seen an awful lot of celebrities talk about loving their fans but none who so clearly mean it to the depth that BTS does. It’s a big part of their magic. Those 7 young men on the other side of the world have no idea who I am but it really feels like if they somehow knew I was hurting they would want to comfort me. I’ve tried to explain this to some bemused family members who can’t understand why I’m so attached to them. I told them that BTS makes me feel like I’m being tucked under a warm blanket by someone who loves me. That’s a comfort I haven’t felt I’m a very, very long time and I am so grateful for it. I assume you’ve seen today’s news that Jimin had emergency surgery (appendicitis) and was diagnosed with COVID. Big Hit’s statement said he is making a “speedy recovery” but I’m still worried about him. I worry about the COVID complicating his healing from surgery.

Omg this breaks my heart! But also I'm so thankful that they got through it and found strength in each other and leaned on each other through it. It's something so BIG and REAL when you can admit when you're having a hard time and be vulnerable not with just yourself or your members, but also with your fanbase. I just love how genuine they all are. I want to give Jimin a hug through this VLIVE! Just wow. It gives their music that follows so much more depth. 💜💜 - Editing Jo

BTS will have a concert in march 2022 in their seoul, south korea. I hope you guys can attended and experience your first bts concert outside from america. You will have blast with bts amazing performances, speeches, and army light bomb waves. Sadly, the bighit can only allow 40,000 capacities seating and you have to arrive early to do the quarantine for five days. have you guys ever travel outside from america before.

That would be THE DREAM!! To go to Korea and to see them again in concert! Literally right when the Seoul concert was announced, my friends started a new chat and was like - ROUND 2?!?! Plus it'd be really cool to go visit the country and go exploring and see all the spots we see in our favorite k-dramas. I've been to the Philippines, Korea, Costa Rica, London, Mexico, and Canada. I know that Elaine has been to Thailand but I'm not sure where else she's been. I went to Korea when I was in high school because that's where my stepfather grew up. So we got to see his hometown and meet his extended family. I mostly just remember the food being amazing! But I'd love to go again as an adult and experience it with all this newfound love of k-culture. I know Elaine really wants to go. We're going to see if we can make it happen sometime. It would totally be worth the five days of quarantine! Do you currently live in Korea? - Editing Jo

@@k-popcrashcourse I am in Florida. I suppose to go to bts concert in Seoul in 2020 and jeju island ( I am Asian Pacific Islander.) for my belated birthday gift. Sadly, it canceled and I won't able to go the one in march. I also planned to go to Japan ( I am huge fans of anime and manga). Once the all pandemic is over. Have you ever read korean manhwa. I highly recommend, for you to read it's so good. You should do the react of the Korean drama and movies.

It's okay to stop and pause more frequently?, bc those of us that have already seen whatever, are wanting to watch you appreciate the details, and if you talk and the video is still going we are aware that you're missing some stuff :)))

Ok good to know! Some people hate it when we pause too much. Some people don’t mind … it’s just so hard to please everyone! But yes - we want our guests to experience it fully and be able to react honestly about what they’re watching. Thanks for watching!!
