Kids casually playing at 9pm in the park SHOULD be ok be if you really outside anyone would kno play time is over. Why u think it’s needles n condoms in the playground . It is a shame that, that occurred in a playground which is supposed to be a safe place but at the same time children shouldn’t be in a playground at the time of night. I remember a saying like be inside before the streetlight comes on.
There needs to be a change in the hood. Get rid of that No Snitching rule, especially in situations like this. I guarantee once the community starts working with the local police to get these type of people off the streets you’ll start to see a big change.

My dream is to buy a home for my family which is happening in a year . I dont even let my kids play outside because its not safe out . They make noise inside but its better than them being on the streets .

I’m at 80s baby BX native grew up my whole life there gun Hill and Bronx Boulevard 219 Street and I could never remember when the streets felt like they feel now you didn’t have to worry as a kid the only people getting into shootouts with people who sold drugs And there were never any innocent bystanders shot innocently

This is sad.. my 17 year old n my 12 year old was at the park yesterday here n Chicago and the same thing happened. I thank God that my children made it Home n others smh.. it’s wild out here. Kids can’t even play at park no more…
