According to their Genius interview, the beginning where he goes "did I really just forget that melody?" is unscripted. Y2K and him were in the booth trying to figure out a melody for the song, and Y2K hums the beat of the song, but as soon as bbno$ walked into record, he forgot what it was. They had to turn Y2K up because he shouted from across the room what the melody was. They took that sample, and now its the iconic start to this song.

Love the content Knox and the effort you put into not just breaking down the rythm, music and lyrics but also how you manage to catch all possible perspectives to paint a greater picture. I would just like to suggest you drop a reaction to "Fire From the Gods" They are a metal rap blend of a band and put alot of depth into their lyrics. "All My Heroes Are Dead" or "Thousand lifetimes" are great songs. Maybe something for your Metal Mondays? :D
