"If you're looking for smoke, i already gave you an L I'd rather just see you in Hell, but i should get Puff on the joint Wait, run it back, i said give you an L, inhale Puff on the joint, i am the blunt you avoid" Lyrical Genius.
Beyond dope man. I literally just paused it and did a long MGK explanation, I didn’t wanna pause it right away again but maybe I should have. Just another level of thought 💯🔥🔥
The S on my chest line is a triple entendre... 1. Referencing superman 2. The Plural theme but also 3. 'Pleural' which is like a fluid in our tissues between our lungs and chest. Genius...
Im not a native English speakers so im not sure, but isnt Plurol or something like that also something within the chest of the human body? If so, that line is even crazier
@@KnoxHill double S is shaped like a B I wear it on my chest, cardo b's chain also? Jesus. It's hard to wrap your around it, so many punchlines just connect together in a string of multiple thoughts.
I think it would be M&M's and also: S on the Chest like its PLEURAL> The pleural cavity also known as the pleural space, is the thin fluid-filled space between the two pulmonary pleurae (known as visceral and parietal) of each lung. A pleura is a serous membrane which folds back onto itself to form a two-layered membranous pleural sac. The outer pleura (parietal pleura) is attached to the chest wall,

But prior to that he talks about his Bitch and how she’s a fucking Bitch but how fucking is a verb. So why wouldn’t he still be talking about the same Bitch ?
Randomly at the beginning he could also mean Alf, as in Alfred Hitchcock. Which of course is what this album is basic on. And "Gingerbredman" is also Ed Sheeran's record label. :)
Okay man. I had no idea how you could make a 20 min video even on a track, even an Eminem track, but you managed. I was not disappointed. You took that song apart line by line and caught what seemed to be every thought process and double entendre and you did it at the drop of a hat. No long pauses thinking about it or looking anything up to catch what was said. That alone is brilliant of you. There’s no way I could’ve done that. It would’ve taken me hours to do what you just did. Great reaction video man. Keep this shit coming.
Lol - to some of the comments saying I do a bunch of research beforehand or cheat - read this 👆👆Honestly I don’t know how I would remember everything to note in a 20 minute video, and I tried looking at lyrics with my first ever reaction video but had to stop immediately because it was messing me up hearing the flows and production. Appreciate this comment and the support as always my man. You know we got more on the way ✊🙌🔥🔥💯
Appreciate that. Just trying to do the songs justice. I appreciate how much an artist puts into their work as one myself so just trying to do it right 💯🙌
@@KnoxHill I am so thankful that you do!! I may not produce music, but I was in band since 5the grade and I still play to this day. Music speaks to me on so many levels. Thank.you for understanding that and breaking it down. Keep up the amazing work, I love what I've heard from you and cant wait to hear more!
Theirs also,"the third Ernest.." Goddamn, he's AMAZING. He can dissect anything! Does, NOT, miss, a thing. And he's funny.. I'm telling you, blows my mind.
This has become a rare thing in RU-vid these days good quality equipment with a good quality video and some legendary dissecting skills and a handsome smile Keep doing what ur doing ma man
Is it just me or does this guy have such a relaxing nice to listen to voice. Like aside from the fact that he has such a great ear for music and culture knowledge of references to understand other meaning I could listen to hours of him just talking lol don't even care what it's about! Also whats up fellow "before 1m subs"!
When he says if you still lookin smoke? I already gave u an L (an L is a joint) id rather just see u in hell (sounds like inhale) but I should get puff on the joint. Then says wait run it back, I said give you an L inhale, puff on the joint, I am the blunt you avoid. Thats whole line right there is a double entendre. Which is why he says wait run it back. Then proceeds to break down the second meaning of it.
headstand = head stan as well. I didnt look through comments to see if someone else said this, im sure they did. but im lazy and i hate 99% of youtube comments. Nice breakdown.
You really out here dissecting this like a total professor man!! Love that you can catch everything and reference it accordingly. Been an Em fan for years but i only catch like 1 or 2 and you catching a 100
I appreciate either the extra workload you put into this, or the beefier hardware because the rewinds really add to it. And if it’s the extra work and not the equipment, nice flex hitting the lyrics.
Nope, still running on the same slow ass hardware lol. No live screen recording yet. Do you know how long this took to edit?! 🤣🤣 Ah well, got there in the end and you’re right, it makes a lot of difference 🙌
Was that a quadruple entandre at the beginning? "I'm starting to sound like alphabet" obvious meaning "I'm starting to sound like alpha bit" meaning he's the goat "I'm starting to sound like alph a bit" as you explained "I'm starting to sound like Alf a bit" as in Alfred Hitchcock May be a reach. 🤷🏻♂️
There is also this cereal called “Alpha Bits”. And the cereal is made up of letters from the alphabet. I mean like each like grain of cereal is a random letter of the alphabet. Idk if he was referencing that, probably not, but I just wanted to point that out
I watch several big reaction channels aot, simba, NLS, to name a few, whom are all good, but your on another level with depth. You deserve a million subs. Great work bro
Really appreciate those words. Just grinding day by day and holding to one day make it there. Thanks for supporting and for the encouragement 🙏 Means a lot bro
the cadence alone on this drop is just top tier "checked IN at the Royal Garden to CHILL and avoid my problems UNTIL paranoia caused me to FEEL like I'm going bonkers for REAL, think my toilet's talkin' i SPILLED like, like forty bottles of PILLS, think your boy is startin' to FEEL like a spoiled carton of milk cause it just occurred"
Marsh came on so you already know I had to come revisit this reaction. Knox you are knowledgeable AF, the most knowledgeable of any reactor I’ve came across! You know every single thing going on in every line.
9:40 when Eminem says “in hell I should get puff on the joint” when he pronounces in hell it sounds like “inhale” which is why he raps “wait run it back I said give you an L, in hell (inhale), inhale I should get puff on the joint.
Sorry I know I already commented but I gotta say when Eminem was in crooks corner (if you don’t know what I’m talking about LOOK IT UP) they said people will be dissecting this album for a long time... no need now thanks to Knox Hill! Definitely the best rap reactor on RU-vid nuff said
Don’t know if you caught it but during the hook at just before 8:26 the height pitched voice made a “skrr” noise like cardi would make which goes with your diss theory
I love how bring the lyrics more to light for other people just shows Eminem’s true nature of how far he can push the pen even at 48 he’s still going with all double meanings or triple meanings
I saw your reaction to You gon’ learn. I was sold. The fact that you actually caught the Waterloo line and the history behind it did it for me. It irritated me that it went over so many other reactors heads. 👍
he does the "give you an hell" verse twice to mock Conceited from Wil' n out. He goes on to say "disgruntled employee" as he is Nick's employee, "punch in the groin" signifies his height, cz conceited super short.
Knox Hill, man your break downs are AWESOME and you explain these videos of music, it makes sense when you take time to explain to all of us. THIS IS WHY I SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL. Keep up the good work bub.
Man you're now my fav critic/reactor after cryptic n shaq. Especially when it comes to Em and your knowlage of all things, not just Em but all things. Plus you were a pro football player. Much respect in your grind dude. Now one simple request, may you accept..You being of many talents n all, try what cryptic done with Gorrilla but pick your fav verse off the album and spit. So hope you accept cause I know you'd smash it. Much love Knox Hill. Back off the net dude.
Dude, I LOVE your breakdowns, you catch soooo much shit that other reactors just can’t - it makes sense because your bars are on a high level too. One thing I didn’t hear you catch when breaking down that MGK reference: “I said give you an ‘L’, *in hell* , puff on the joint” … like, an ‘L’, *inhale* ,puff on a joint” Not sure if you missed it in the insane wordplay, or it was just too obvious in the runback 👌🏽
Another play on the hook. He says the superman reference with the s on his chest, extra extra terrestrial. Supermans alter ego was Clark Kent who worked for a news paper. Extra extra is what paperboys used to tell on the corners to sell papers. And extra terrestrial cause superman is an alien.
*So Many Barz In This Song* *My Favorite Part Is When He Disses Conceited The Battle Rapper Wit Conceiteds Own Rap Scheme He Uses Mostly & MGK Both Gettin' Dissed The Same Time* *If Ur Still Lookin' For Smoke* *I Already Gave U An L, I'd Rather See U In Hell, But I Should Get Puff On A Joint*, *Wait Run It Back, I Said Give U An L(Blunt) In Hale(In Hell) Puff On Joint(Track) I Am The Blunt U Avoid* *GR8 Wordplay* 💯🔥
Loving it my man! I really wish you could sit down with shady and get to talk to him about rap because I feel like him coaching you would put you on a whole other level!
Hands down just become one of my favourite reactors on youtube! I've listened to this album front to back and front again & i'm yet to come across anyone who caught all the bars in this track 🔥🔥 You killed it 👍👍
The “Nuthouse” line could actually be a triple continuation of the sexual scheme. Also with the hook it seems like he was trying to re-establish who he is, a new “My name is” for the new Em whose combining Eminem, Marshall & Slim into one - “My name is Marsh”.
I've checked out a few of your videos a couple months back and I have no clue why I didn't subscribe back then. Your insights and breakdowns of these tracks are second to none, and I also very much appreciate your general knowledge of all sorts of topics. Very smart and educated, likable guy. Subbed. Keep it up man.
Its really amazing how intelligent and knowledgeable that lyricist are. I only listen to rap but only the real lyrical rapper's. Not alot of new guys. Hopsin, royce, logic, EM, kendrick, etc.
The red Head line was a triple at how he draws out Red Herring. If you ever watched the "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" episodes Fred always thought the "Monster" was the Red Herring (kid with red hair)
The gingerbread man scheme is even denser than most notice. A lattice of meaning: "Treat you like a step-parent does to a stepchild with red hair and plus I get doe like Ed Sheeran so call me the gingerbread man//" Red hair, doe, Ed Sheeran, gingerbread man/ginger + bread, and Gingerbread Man Records is Ed Sheeran's record label. Eminem is certainly a lyrical, rap genius with an almost superhuman talent. His writing is more dense than many of his listeners understand. He writes and raps to impress the elite rapper-MCs. He is rapping to be written in the Hip Hop Hall of Grandeur. There is no superior rapper. Eminem is the cap on the pyramid if we had to decide. I am a savvy listener, very knowledgeable and alert with rap music, and I still learned something about Eminem's lyrics by reading these comments: the comment about "S on my chest... like it's plural" and the S.S. and Slim Shady connection. He snuck that by me! Come the fuck on! 🤯
Amazing breakdowns! Your songs are dope too, The hook has triple too as in "Marsh-AL" then he says Superman in the middle, real name of Superman "Kal-EL"..
Appreciate the Em and NF reactions, Knox. Looking forward to you doing the rest of the MTBMB album cuz you one of the best at it, plus you reppin Delmarva!
Brother, I have to thank you for being so didactic and explanatory. Never think you are being boring, you are being very useful especially to foreigners like me (english as second language)
Knox I fuckin love your ability to articulate all the subtleties in ems wordplay and lyrical composition, to answer your question as to why so many people dislike his new stuff, I think it’s pretty simple in my opinion his new stuff is less popular because his intellect and ability to apply that brainpower to his art is so far above the average music enthusiasts head they just hear long winded run on sentences with no rythym because he’s just gotten that good he’s a lyrical prodigy he’s mastered the art of bending words the fit his message within his beat whereas most bend their message to words that fit in the beat basically I think they just don’t process what he’s doing what they see as jumbled people like u and I are able to see what he’s doing he’s packing bars on top of bars and creating tempos and breaks within the main tempos and breaks and bending words to accommodate his poetry rhyming words that don’t rhyme etc they simply can’t love what they can’t comprehend and incomprehensible is the level he’s reached I love it you love it most wont get it and that’s ok lol I know this was long winded I just took some sleep aid let me know if it made sense lol
I’ve been going through your whole Em reactions to hear them all. Keep it up! No Life Shaq was my favorite but I’ve been on your channel for the last 3 months 🤫
