@@FFeras Obviously you lack the mental capacity to understand the sarcasm in my initial comment. OF COURSE anyone can read the lyrics from Genius. My point was just because you can get the lyrics from anywhere doesn't mean that EVERYONE can understand and decipher them. As a 58 year old music writer and a proponent of hip hop and rap music, I can attest that this young man broke down, deciphered, caught the double and triple entendres and meaning of this song BETTER than EVERYONE that reacted to it. He said snappin' necks, continuing the Wu reference from Royce, but that quote "Snap a neck for some live effects" was a sample also used in They Want EFX, from DAS EFX. It was in the chorus. The sample is from EPMD (Eric Sermon, to be specific), from the song Underground.

21:09 "stay heated" there's a movie called heat in the 90's about a crew who took down scores with old school legends like "All pacino","Robert de niro","Val Killmer". They realized there was heat cops were on to them so they got together to decide to do a last big score a bank job or just seperate with what loot they already had. @@danielg8403 Thats cool, I didn't know about the Em/Tyson connection but it makes sense. I have seen an interview where Tyson talked about his pigeons and showed them off and stuff. It was interesting to see that side of him. Man... the layers of meaning that Em packs into these bars are insanity

@@benjamincoggins6568 no shit the hook is Woo Hah. I mean the constant Ay Ay Ay on the offbeat through the entire song. It's in the background of the whole track, not the hook as that sample is obvious. I'm not even sure the Ay is a sample it is probably just an ad-lib on repeat.

I've watched a LOT of reaction videos to see who breaks down bars the best. And out of all the channels that are out their and i have found NO ONE breaks the bars down like this. Granted I give credit to those who can do what they do to those who can do it quick by ear. But not 1 other person breaks shit completely down like you are. Good shit. Being as old as I am and know 98% of all that's said and references you still catch some that I missed even on the 3rd time listening. I also don't stop the beat I just re-listen to it as it plays. Kiddos for what you do!

I think the D R E bar can also be interpreted as " And D R E was like my GP, yes without him I don't know where I'd be"... GP as in, general practitioner? at least where I am from that is how you call your doctor. Otherwise it was a very cool and well done breakdown, hope you make some more of these deep dives.

Everyone did fantastic, but Eminem, I feel, really wanted Black Thought to shine in the song, because it's a collaboration that Eminem wanted to do for a long time, but it had to be just right for Black Thought to spit his fire bars. And Em succeeded with that one.

JFK and MLK are cross-streets “crossfire” but the front lawn part is also talking about when the kkk set “crosses on fire” on the “front lawn” of Martin Luther King “crossfire”and cross fire also refers to a shootout. This shit is genius.

"I break free like Chesimard Keep 'em guessin' hard" line by BT is also a reference to a crazy chess opening called the (chess) Amar opening (or the Drunken Knight Opening!) where white plays 1.Nh3, which is completely insane, and 'breaks free' of opening theory, while keeping the opponent guessing, and on the back foot.
