“I’ll call my homeboy in Israel” is referring to Oskar Schindler. Oskar Schindler in Schindlers list was played by Liam Neeson, who also played Qui Gon Jin. Anakins original master. You’re welcome lol
I doubt it. Occams razor would suggest Knox is actually right on the money here. Oscar Schindler was born in Austria and died in West-Germany... it would make 0 sense to call Israel to talk to him. Schindler was burried in Jerusalem but if its a post-mortem call using the phone would be both redudndant and stupid considering who we are talking about. Qui-Gon Jin was literally the guy who figured out how to manifest as a force ghost. You could be right... I guess. But its such a reach I think its way more likely youre just reading to much into this trying to find a connection that isnt there.
The opening lines in #2 (who are you? Someone who loathes you bitch), is a call back to when Leia thaws out Solo, he says "who are you?" Then Leia takes off the helmet and says "someone who loves you." Thats a fuckin dope little flip and I never see anybody catch it
The "stand at attention, and siege fucking heil" line is to me one of the best of ERB history. It just fits the flow so fucking well, and the delivery is absolutely perfect
"I'm on the leader of your limp-dicked Luftwaffe" has a second meaning when you consider that Vader/Anakin was one of the greatest pilots ever, so he would out-fly and "be on (their tails)" in the air.
I agree its a great one. However there are a lot of other good ones (like Stalin vs. Rasputin, Ivan the terrible vs. Alexander the great, Cleopatra vs. Marilyn Monroe, Bill Gates vs. Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein vs. Stephen Hawking thats just some of them :D)
In comparison of me being 10 and erb releasing when I was born basically I had no idea until I was almost 7 and my big brother shown me steven spielberg vs alfred hitchcock and it was an amazing music sensation so I listened to every epic rap battle so I was an early fan at least for how old i was
I actually remember watching or at least seeing some of their videos, but i was so young back then lmao. My English was bad, i wouldn't be able to understand %90 of the things they say. Lmao
4:38 Vader was forced into the suit he is now in by the Emperor. The suit itself is designed to be purposefully uncomfortable to keep his anger and rage high at all times so the Darkside of the force will never leave his side.
Ehhhh Sidious designed it, I mean.... yea the pain stuff does fuel dark energy, but Sidious also wanted to handicap Vader and insure he would never be strong enough to kill him. The Republic had the tech to heal Anakin much better than the treatment he got, he still would have been disfigured and probably had issues, but he would have recovered enough to one day fulfill Sith tradition and replace Sidious.
@@zachariahkindle8926 in the Vader comics there is a version that received proper treatment as well as a better suit that gave him full recovery minus his looks, then the suit amp him beyond his normal stats as Anakin, then he was actually trained and informed on the dark side as well as sith traditions and he become one of the most powerful beings, I believe its called max potential Vader, and it is what he could have been had Sidious not been a coward and nerfed him
"That's not the announcer voice" Production, time, and budget. The show has been going on like, 6+ years (IIRC). If you reacted to all of ERBs, you will see the progression
Stephen Hawking appeared at the end because ERB did a battle with him against Einstein and ERB does this things were they have their characters kinda interacting in the same universe. P.s. man you better do the part 3 of this battle, that one is even crazier than this 2.
I think that when Hitler said “Cause look at you, your not even a real person” is also a reference to the fact that the majority of Anakin’s body was replaced by robotics and tech stuff (via his Vader suit) after Obi Wan did away with most of Anakin’s limbs and left Anakin to burn to death. Thus making him more machine than man.
Fun fact, the quote isn’t “Luke, I am your father.” It’s “No, I am your father.” So most people incorrectly quote the most famous quote from Star Wars.
@@Tatsumi81 Sorry, meant out of the 3 Hitler vs Vader rap battles, number three is best, But Jocker and Pennywise one is good to if you get all the reference, that sadly a lot of reactors don't.
I’m pretty sure he could use the force to help him breathe and stay alive if his suit failed, but then he can’t focus as much on other things, so it’s better if he doesn’t have to worry about it.
Vader was using the force the whole time to stay alive. He was no where near as powerful as he could of been as he was only 50% of his power. It always put a drain on him henve why he had his recharging egg for full life supply where he didn't need the force until he exited it.
Quick note: Napoleon was actually close to six foot tall, maybe 5' 9" or 5' 10". Everyone thinks he is/was short because of English writers and other political figures depicted him as short like he was nothing to worry about easily defeatable in battle. It was also to discreate him as man as well.
i feel like Hitler wasn't given a proper chance because, well, he's Hitler. People are biased when talking about the rap and conflict it with the real tragedies committed. like, relax, we know if you think Hitler has some bars it doesn't mean you actually support him, even ERP froze him and made fun of him. where are my Hitler stans?
The Stormtroopers line is a reference to how German soldiers were known as Stormtroopers. George Lucas named the Empire's soldiers Stormtroopers as a heavy-handed reference to the Nazi military.
@@henryreinecke6036 What are you on about. The Nazi brown shirts were the strong arm of the Nazi party in Germany from before Hitler even reached power. Weimar Germnay was a messy place poltically, with ex WWI soldiers fighting against communists on the streets. So it wasnt uncommon for a party like the Nazis to have a section of their party be thugs playing dressed up, the SA or Stormtroopers as they were known were eventually replaced by the SS under Hitler's orders duiring the night of the long knives. The Nazi SA, known as Stormtroopers are very heavily linked to Hitler for clear reasons.
@@ereynolds72 Ah, we have a small difference in definition here. I would call the SA (short for Sturmabteilung) by their direct English translation, which would mean Storm Detachment/Unit. Sturmtruppen (literally "Stormtroopers" in English) were units of the Imperial German Army that formed during WW1 as specialized shock infantry. If you want to refer to the Nazi brownshirts, please use "SA" and use the word "Stormtroopers" for the German shock infantry of WW1. That way there is no confusion
Vader was inspired by Hitler. That's the connection between the two. Your reaction to Hawking's appearance at the end of the second video was laugh-out-loud funny.
For the using his powers to help him breathe comment, he actually did once, someone turned off his suit and Vader pulled on so much of the force to force him to be able to move, but the force isnt going to help him breathe, it wont because his lungs themselves are charred so the air needs to be filtered which the force can't really do
@@themadclown4077 that's why his suit is so clunky. Why would the emperor want the best lightsaber duelist in the galaxy to be able to have the "skill" to turn against him
@@themadclown4077 Yes, emporer Palpatine intentionally made it to where Vader was in pain, and had trouble breathing in order to keep him under his thumb. Vader could have fixed it at any time as well because he was basically #2 of the entire empire. He even had his own planet and built his own fortress, he had money, and tech out the ass. Check out the comics.
Vader can definitely use the force to sustain himself if his systems ever fail, but he can only do so temporarily. And it also limits what he can do offensively. The sheer amount of effort it takes limits him.
He does say it, just not in the iconic scene that everyone remembers it as, likely because old commercials were edited in a way that we actually did see the “Mandela Effect” version but in the film it was actually different.
Another fun fact. He was roughly 5’6 but he had body guards who was taller then him which made him short. Plus,in France metric schemes I believe 5’6 is 5’2 in American.
I think you might have missed a bar in the second battle. Vader's first line "Someone who loathes you" is a play on Leia's line from Return of the Jedi where Han , who's blind from being in carbonate, asks who is saving him and Leia replys "someone who loves you". 👌👌
Regarding Vader's "Sorcerer's Apprentice" line: "You're the sorcerer's apprentice" => Johann Wolfgang Goethe has a famous poem called "Der Zauberlehrling", so "Sorcerer's Apprentice". Now, this was way before Disney had acquired Star Wars, but the ironic thing in this is, that there is a Disney adaptation of "Der Zauberlehrling", where Mickey Mouse is playing the role of the apprentice. Basically, ERB predicted the whole acquisition with that line. ERB going Simpsons here.
The Goose Step is a Prussian Military marching technique. It required a lot of discipline and training, i believe. And since the German Empire was made by the king of Prussia, German military took a lot of inspiration from Prussia. Even The Goose Step. Fun Fact: I believe it is also an achievement in a game called EU4, where as Prussia you need a lot of military discipline to achieve it.
Vader can use the force to keep him alive but it keeps his strength down, so that's why he prefers to use his suit. Another fact about his suit is that it causes him pain to fuel his anger and make him stronger.
I was gonna point that out, not only that but the respirator and the suit in general leaves Vader in pain which in turn fuels his hate making the dark side more powerful. (And yes it’s Vader’s choice palpatine did offer another suit)
Vader did try to heal himself, but the dark side of the force can only really destroy (excluding Sith Alchemy but it has horrible costs and is never lasting). It is the light side of the force that heals.
If I remember correctly the idea behind him not using the force to make his breathing easier is that with the respirator he was still feeling pain from trying to breath and pain is supposed to create a stronger connection to the dark side.
Round one was only the second Epic Rap Battle they ever made so the production was still very bare bones, but this battle in particular really helped the series go viral., so much so that they made Round 2 the first battle of Season 2. Also Stephen Hawking went against Albert Einstein in the first season and they like to sometimes port characters over. Keep doing these battles please!!
Vadar doesn't fix his suit because it makes him stronger in the dark side of the force. When Anikin was burn and amputated Darth Sidious thought he would not be worth continuing training and so gave him a faulty suit hoping it would eventually lead to his death. However, the pain and anger the suit caused Vadar greatly strengthened his connection to the dark side of the force. So when Sidious saw that he was still powerful and capable he had a new and improved suit readied, but Vadar refused to give up his old suit. So he is, by choice, always in constant pain, struggling to breath, and being crushed by the weight of his suit. Crazy huh?
The Sith code talks about anger and passion being used as weapons to connect to the Dark Side of the force. The suit wasn't just faulty because it was a suit. Darth Sidious made sure the suit would be painful. Not only would it make Darth Vader stronger, but it also kept him, for a lack of a better analogy, on a leash. Darth Vader was in so much pain that he wouldn't be able to kill Darth Sidious as every other Sith have tried in the past.
You questioned why Vader didn't use the force to help him breath. The reason was that he was using the force to help with the pain he was constantly in. As for his respirator and armor was out of date when he got them by alot, mostly as a punishment from Sidious for losing to Obi-Wan.
"Sorcerers Apprentice" was a section of Disneys "Fantasia" where Mickey was the apprentice and managed to clone a bunch of magic brooms. The "took a piece of shit and cloned it" is s reference to the "Brown Shirts" - the Nazi "Sturmabteilung" (storm troopers)
You missed a couple doubles in vaders bars in round 2, like when he says "I'm on the leader of your limp dick luftwaffe" it was a reference to the battle against the death star where luke is in the trench with the x-wings and vader drops in behind them in the tie fighters and says "I'll take the leader". Then the next line "I strike back hard against a nazi" refers to "empire strikes back" because it was the 2nd movie, and this was the 2nd battle...
@@KnoxHill Aight guess I'll FOH then. Used to love getting the notification of your ERB breakdowns on my phone, know I got something good to watch while doing laundry on the weekend. Guess I'll get off youtube and get a life then. Ciao.
Knox, I'm loving your break-downs of theERBs. To help expand your knowledge a bit more; a goosestep is a formal military march which the Nazis used to do a lot. It's marching without bending your knees
First off, so happy to see this battle! Secondly, not sure if it's canon or not but the explanation of Darth needing the technology: he experimented with maintaining without the helmet but he couldn't do it AND use the dark side of the force. So basically, he chose to keep the power of the dark side instead of being able to heal/help himself. *For anyone who this may concern: i know this isn't 100% accurate but it's the best of what I can remember*
It's why he needed his meditation chamber to even do it at all in Empire. He simply cannot keep his concentration so split and survive. It's one or the other
The earlier ERB's definitely haven't aged as well as the more recent ones lol. Always have to go into the old ones with a grain of salt. They're pretty good, but the series got a lot better.
In regards to the aspect of Vader not using the Force to heal or helpe himself breathe. Well this ties in a lot with the suit Vader has to wear, the suit was designed specifically to essentially torture Vader, it was ill fitter, the prosthetics painfully and badly attached to his body and essentially every moment in that suit was pain and discomfort, the Dark Side of the Force feeds of every negative emotion and enhances it, that's why falling to the Dark Side is so dangerous for Force Users because the negative feelings are amplified quite a bit and essentially drowns the fallen person in a haze of rage, pain, fear, etc. and thus one cannot even think properly, only masters of the Dark Side can truly master this but even they fall to the whispers and voice of the Dark Side, like with Sidious who essentially got so drunk on the Dark Side of the power, especially after he created the Empire that he deluded himself in quite the state.
Hitler's mom married her uncle and the psychologist that profiled him said his reaction to his mother's death was the reaction of a lover and not a son.
Basically the prequels are master pieces in comparison to the new almost redcon Rey trilogy, then again the prequels aren't really something for everyone as the meme says "Too much text".
I tjink the prequals wouldve hit harder and come full circle had they not clusterfucked the new trilogy and went with the original vision george lucas felt they had maybe not promised but kinda eluded too wanting to do to keep his version alive while doimg s ol mething new for new generation. Sorry for rambling haha....SHAME!
Part two in the second installment of this epic rap battle reminds me of the Halo game when the Master Chief is released from captivity i refer to Dark Vader''s outfit which is figuratively like the Master Chief''s outfit in the Halo game.
True, but without the "you killed my father" before that, there is no context, so people put "Luke" in it when they quote it to give it context. Subsequently, people remember people quoting it instead of the movie so they remember it wrong.
@@TheOJDrinker i watched a tiktok on my fyp after i responded to this and Vader did actually say 'No,Luke i am your father' but George Lucas removed it so now i feel kinda stoopid
