@@Kelly30stmbasically their whole catalog is pretty solid. Out of the 3 albums there’s maybe like 3-4 songs total that I might skip, but even those songs have parts I like within them. I’m just happy I found them normally and not from some wack ass TikTok trend because I probably wouldn’t have given them a chance. I guess that’s the good thing about never having made a TikTok. I miss the trends, I didn’t know this song was big on TikTok until months after I started to bump them

Knox… this is a huge rabbit hole Vessel is the vocalist, II is the drummer and they are the founding members of the band. III is on bass and IV is the guitarist and then the Vesselettes are the backup vocalists as well. Vessel and II are the only ones who write the music, II is only drums and Vessel does everything else from what I know I suggest you read up on the lore of Sleep Token and their story it’s a lot to type on here, but it’s wild. Does not take away from the incredible music and writing, I really hope you go down this journey and we’re here for it man 3 albums, some singles, and two started EP’s await you in their discography, I hope you start at the beginning but I doubt you will

I would love to see you react to more Sleep Token! Vessel is a great lyricist. He hides a ton of references in his lyrics. I caught a reference to quantum entanglement theory in Blood Sport and was floored. Ascensionism, Take Me Back to Eden, and Aqua Regia are all fantastic lyrically. All of their songs are layered and beautiful.

It's funny to watch this and realize how many switch ups they do. I've always said The Summoning is "The Summary" of all they had done at the time and planned to do in the future. We see so many reactions of the doubletake experience of the ending, so everyone's always prepared for that, but it really does shift pretty often and smoothly. I also didn't have that experience hearing it the first time. I was a two year old ST fan and bouncing up and down with joy that I got two ST singles in two consecutive days. At work just listening and being excited and knowing I should expect nothing and still getting knocked off my feet. Then I listened to it several more times. No processing, just happy dancing. It's fun to see people go into it as their first time and be hit with every version of ST there is, in one song. I heavily suggest going all in and just doing the entire ST journey from the One EP through the Take Me Back To Eden album. Just commit because you are in for a ride that may even rival the Renride. Did you miss moons and religion? You got it. Mental health trouble? You got it. Unique blends of music and vocals? Strap in. It is the freshest feast.

The fact that this song is actually about a deep love/devotion in a toxic relationship, makes the song even more impressive. First listeners would never think that’s what the song is about, based on the heaviness of the song. That’s what makes the band so incredible.
