Im simple Slipknot fan, I see someone reacting to Slipknot, the person pauses the video all the time, I leave the video automatically because this is annoying haha
At the breakdown the lyrics went (Why) why was it easy for you (Did) did I not see the abuse (I) I can’t believe i let it (Not) not what you wanted (See) see through your bullshit (Your) you’re so traumatic (True) true to every to every form of (Face) every consequence (Un) unintimidated (Til) til’ the very end (It) it’ll never happen (Was) was it all a lie (Too) many motherfuckers (Late) Why did I not see your true face until it was too late
You forgot the last bit at the end (Late) That's what you do best (Lie) That's what you do best (Lie) That's what you do best That's what you do best The lie lie part is meant to be with that message.
Nero Forte best describes the darkness that Taylor sunk into. The depression was like an entity that he didn't feel he had the strength to fight against.
Clown and Corey both wrote part of the song, along with parts of Paul's old notes and Joey even contributed to some of the tracks that were written on WANYK but this was written mostly by clown and old Paul Gray notes and it was how clown saw Corey's ex-wife basically
Corey is such an absolute lyrical genius...completely unmatched..."fists clenched tight in the pockets of my hoodie"...little descriptive things like that...other lyricists just don't go there 🖤
Here is a hidden message in the lyrics of one verse, read the first word of each line (Why) Why was it easy for you? (Did) Did I deserve the abuse? (I) I can't believe I let it (Not) Not what I wanted (See) See through your bullshit (Your) You're so dramatic (True) True to your form of (Face) Every consequence (Un-) Unintimidated (-til) 'Til the very end (It) It'll never happen (Was) Was it all a lie? (Too) Many motherfuckin' (Late) That's what you do best (Lie) That's what you do best (Lie) That's what you do best
Interesting fact, when they perform this instant classic, it's Tortia Man who spits out the rapid chorus while Cory switches to the melodic chorus. I so freaking love this song and Critical Darling and Spiders, catchy AF.
YAY... FINALLY... Yes im one of the people who requested this... This song is what got me into slipknot and got me into more other metal... It was last year when the music video haven't been made yet.. Its like the 1st ever song that got me to the slipknot wormhole and found my people.. The mask community and the metal and rock community
@@JTvids-13k he's already reacted to spit it out live at Download 09, and Corey's acoustic version at his London show too. If you havent seen them, you should definitely check them out
Thank you! Some people seem to get frustrated when I don't understand all the lyrics. It's literally my first time hearing the song lol. I don't look up anything about the song beforehand because I want my reactions to be genuine.
@@KurtisB nothing to be frustrated about imho. The fact that you’re opening your mind and experiencing something new is tremendous. My sister won’t even listen to a thought of mine about a metal group much less open her mind and actually listen to a song ugh
That was a great reaction. You're one of my favourite youtubers now! I'm a massive fan of Slipknot, Stone Sour and Falling in Reverse and you're vidoes are brilliant. I love your genuine reaction
Do don't worry about stopping the song. It used to bother me but then I realized that's the appeal of reaction channels. We get to enjoy our favorite song like it's the first time vicariously through you. to keep enjoying all of this great music you open yourself up to. Your Channel will grow, ur doing fine! thank you!
I follow another guy who reacted to slipknot songs and one of the last ones he did was of Sulfur and was amazed at how he over looked it. It’s one of the few slipknot songs I always sing as loud as I can when I’m rolling in my semi. Keep up with the slipknot, it’s a freight train of never ending bad ass songs.
The rabbit hole only gets better, bro. Even if your not surprised by Slipknit anymore there is still a metric shit tonne of songs we would love you to experience. Keep doing what your doing and stay healthy!
I have seen quite a few hip hop dudes reacting to Slipknot and JUST loving it afterwards...and I am also LOVING seeing that! Thanks for the awesome vid man! 🤘💪 Hope everyone is staying safe during this madness 💜 Much love from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 P.S. You are smoking hot, haha
As a huge slipknot fan for over 12 years I feel everything he’s saying to the core. Keep diggin in them slipknot vids! Hella dope live performances on RU-vid too. I’ve been blessed to see them three times in Sacramento. Never fails to amaze me.
Respect you for appreciating this once in a lifetime group for what they are and their energy comes ftom all their past something real that you don't see to much now day's it gives me the chills because i can relate an understand the meanings of their pain energy and personality!💯😤😎🔥🧨
Your reactions seem super genuine and I’ve seen a lot of reaction channels but just off of this I think I’m gonna go back and watch some of your others. Keep up the great work!
First time I came across Slipknot was "duality" video because of thumbnail. As soon as I started watching the only thought I had was "I want to know everything about this band!" Thank you Slipknot for saving me from self destruction, I'm sure a lot of people out there know what I'm saying!
Just wanted to let you know, that one of my favourite bands, Hollywood Undead, dropped their new single "Idol" featuring Tech N9ne. Since you are a Tech N9ne fan, I thought I had to let you know in case you've missed it. Hollywood Undead is a band that combines rock and metal with rap and hip hop so I think you might enjoy it ;)
@@KurtisB Forgot to mention, in case you suffer from epilepsy, you should not watch the official lyric video. For some reason Hollywood Undead overloads their official videos from 2016 on with visual effects that may be hard to watch if you have epilepsy. Don't want to discourage you from checking it out after asking you to do it, but I would feel bad if I didn't warn you ^^
I don't enjoy slipknot anymore but everytime my older brother turns on slipknot in his car, I can listen and enjoy it, I hear something and when i like it, I will listen to it.
No reason for anyone to get upset. It's pronounced (knee row for tay). Love this song! The line you were wondering about is: "Fists clinched tight in the pockets of my hoodie. And I know where I need to go but the voice of reason can't say no." You should most definitely hit Orphan from this album. Very dark stuff in that one and Liar's Funeral.
U cool bro, youre reactions are real, I appritiate that, cheers... the way in all sliknot vid u concentrate on lyrics ... its just means you care for what the author have to say. and thats all the metalheads wanted to see someone reacts to :) long live your channel !
I have rewatched all reactions related to slipknot/corey, m8, surely, you have new sub. Also would love to see slipknot-custer 2014 with their new drummer.
When I heard this song it reminded me of their song "The Nameless" it has a similar harsh/mellow contrast kinda vibe, I think you might enjoy (maybe check out the album version? Not crazy about the official video cut)
Fun fact: The three tours right before this video came out had it's own color of attire and all three attires were worn in this video. Black, Red and White. (Not useful knowledge, but fun to know)
Slipknot is what got me into the metal scene. I don't listen to them anymore but they brought me to Slamming deathcore and Extreme metal music. If you want some heavy stuff check out Slam worldwide yt channel.
Watching your Nero Forte video, and when you said Corey is rapping pretty well. I looked into you reactions and saw that you did Corey's acoustic version of Spit it Out, you should check out the live version for Download in 2009.
Alsoooo, to your comment about it sounding like rap a bit, the genre slipknot started out in, it’s called “Nu-Metal” which is metal with hip hop influence. The genre was started by KoЯn but limp bizkit wasn’t far behind.
I really enjoy your reaction videos! It's fun to watch someone discovering and appreciating a band you like. I wish you would react to Duality. It was the first Slipknot song I heard (about 12 or 13 years ago) and I loved it instantly. It isn't until recently that I've really started loving the heavier stuff. I've been making up for that in the past months though.
the thing about slipknot is, you never know if you like it, but do you dislike it? no, most likely not. they give you something that most modern "musicians" can not give you, they give you an experience.
Now thats how you review music. He doesnt pause and pause the video every damn second, meaning, he really listens to it (also, he only replays so as to understand the lyrics and not for other reasons like "look at that stuff" etc) 👍props to u, man
Still enjoying! I see someone recommended Falling in Reverse. Ronnie Radke is another HUGE fav of mine. I need to check to see if you’ve reacted yet, if not, PLEASE DO! I saw that as I glanced thru the comments trying to see if anyone helped you with pronunciation of Forte... you had it. It’s “For Tay”. Another great reaction!
You should listen to their self titled album, it’s got a lot more heavy tones plus some more samples from different movies and songs. Songs like Eyeless, Spit It Out, Eeyore, NO LIFE and (sic) stand out
You should check out Orphan, Red Flag, and Liar's Funeral off the same album! The entire album is pretty kick ass. Probably in my top 3 Slipknot albums!
I'll say it again and again. Please do Apocalyptica ft Corey Taylor-I'm not Jesus. But Please Kurtis, besides slipknot there is so much great metal out there. Try something el se on for size, you just might be surprised at what you find.
I will definitely be reacting to other bands. But I only have so much time in a day lol. Hopefully I can do this full time eventually and post 2 - 3 videos a day.
I agree.. On both.. Apocalyptica is lit. Also yes.. Im a big slipknot fan.. But im not the type of "sLiPkNoT tHE bESt iN tHE woRLD aND hEaViESt".. But maybe we should let Kurtis B. chill for a little while in the slipknot bubble a little more
This is why i love metalhead commenters.. They always recommend gud shit.. Im forever thankful... Theyre very welcoming.. I just dont like the Elitists, Boomers, and Haters
@@chinitooppah3587 exactly man. Slipknot are quite an accessible band for someone that's getting into metal. Nah can't stand elitists either, there's just no need to be the way they are and they just look like idiots in the long run😂 other than that though the metal community is awesome🤘
I dont remember where but there is a secret message in the lyrics too, you wont notice it when you see the lyrics music too but when they are all in a scene in a white room headbanging you can hear the background chorist say one word at a time and if you put them all together it should say «why did i not see your true face until it was too late»
As a life long metal head if I had any advice about lyrics, it would be to not worry about catching everything on your first listen. You pick up the lyrics naturally upon multiple listenings. Anything else that is unclear after that just look up on the internet. Enjoyed the video. I'll drop you a subscribe because at the moment watching non metal heads listen to metal and enjoy it is my favourite thing to watch on RU-vid. Also, I don't always listen to Slipknot but when I do so do the neighbours.
check out Slipknots Wait and Bleed, the animated version. It was the first song and vid I saw from Slipknot, and made me fall in love with the band. All so, Corey Taylor is a huge fan of rap and has always wanted to do a collab with Eminem. and I think well all would love to see that collab.
