I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, don't remember most of it. I'm a fan of snow, but the way she can switch between English and Spanish, while making it work with the overall meaning and rhyme scheme is fucking astounding

Muchos norteamericanos saben español (depende de la secundara a la que vayan) ya que es una materia como lo puede ser el Frances/Mandarin/Aleman, asi como aca tenemos Ingles, el tema es que nosotros los hispanohablantes consumimos muchísimo mas contenido en Ingles que ellos en Español

When she says "I´m a michoacana" she means she´s from Michoacan, Michoacan is a state in Mexico. I love this reaction, as a mexican and also as a hispanic speaker, dude, respect, the way you translate all the song, analyze the lyrics, amazing!

Los Tigres del Norte are a really representative and huge Mexican group of Regional Mexicano. They are from Sinaloa but live in San José, California since a very long time. So they are like really big for us, mexicans LOL. Just for you to know. Love you translation and your reaction. Veeery good spanish!!! Definitivamente you just got a new fan 😂❤😂❤ Oooh!!... Here are some references maybe the English speakers missed: (edited) 05:31 "Los tigres del Norte" is a regional Mexican music group that originated in San José, CA where she was also born. 06:10 "Traigo tanta feria (money) que la bolsa de me rompe" She said she has so much money that the bag of his pants breaks. 10:53 "Mera mera" is a Mexican slang that means like "The boss" "the chosen one" 11:50 "Vengo con cholos en un pinche impala" Is talking about she is coming with her gang (cholos) in a "pinche" (Mexican slang used for increasing the meaning of something in a good or bad way. An USA example could be: f***ing) Impala (Brand of a car used by mexican gangs the most. like the ones featured in the Still D.R.E. video intro) 12:22 "I'm a Michoacana" because his mom is from that Mexican state , and is known for having brave people (and drug lords). 12:23 "La reina es el rey" is reference to a Beatriz Adriana's song, and basically says that he will steal the king's kingship. 15:09 "Yo soy la dura que te dio solo dos rutas: Tírame o si quieres hazte, güey" This is a hard bar, She mentions she gives you two routes/ways (Dissing her or "making güey" (Mexican slang for playing dumb) or "make way" to her. La mera mera translates to the feminine version of “the main one” Michoacana means you’re from Michoacan, Mexico. And if you have questions about Snow she’s a Mexican American rapper who yes is a mom but she plays for the other team. She’s absolutely one of my favorite rappers especially being queer Latino and not seeing myself represented in media she is La Mera Mera IMO nothing but love for her

I like that you always jump back a bit when you play the video again. People who don't do that, usually miss jokes from videos or other funny parts or the flow gets lost, etc. Each part of a song has it's leadup that is important context. This was a really good video.

"La mera mera" means kinda "the true boss". Usually it is used in the context of saying that someone ir something is the only expert/authority/original in something. Used only as slang.

Soy argentino y te sigo hace mucho. Soy amante del Rap y gracias a vos, Stevie Knight y Shaq que analizan las barras entiendo mucho más, ya que hay referencias o significados que por ser de otro país no entiendo. Me resulta increíble que estés reaccionando a un productor argentino así que abajo te dejo una breve explicación de quien es BZRP. BZRP es un productor argentino. Empezó haciendo "combos locos" de las batallas de freestyle en las plazas, especialmente del "quinto escalón" (competencia de freestyle). El "quinto escalón" se hizo viral en el mundo del rap hispano hablante y con el tiempo varios "freestylers" empezaron su carrera como raperos o traperos. La escena de rap argentino creció a pasos agigantados estos últimos 4/5 años con canciones con más de 100M de reproducciones en RU-vid por ejemplo. Entre ellos BZRP, que empezó a hacer estas "sessions" de canciones y freestyles (de hecho el freestyle con más reproducciones en RU-vid es "Trueno || BZRP Freetyle Session #6" con 175M de reproducciones al día de hoy) con artistas de todo el mundo y hoy es sinónimo hit.
