I LOVE this song. I was shown videos by Tom by a friend of mine a few days ago....and I can't stop listening to him now. Wished I'd discovered his music a long time ago!
I agree with all this. Like, I don't always get down with all his view points, I support HIM as an artist, doing his thing on his own and, as he says "putting that work in" respect. But yeah, self-reflection is always important. See what you've accomplished, see how you've grown, and see what you want to achieve next, but remember to be totally content with this present moment. Car: Tom has a story of him missing a bus when he was a carpenter. Going to work in the pouring rain ( and pissed off) he tripped on his boot laces and looked up through a car dealer ship window and saw a Lambo look like it was mocking him. Great reaction. However I like the "3 2 1 part! Adds character to the music. Which is something almost every artist is lacking these days. Most artist are trying to make themselves sound like other artists! Thom Macdonald is a class all his own it seems like 👍.
I know you hate hearing this question but will you ever do another rap cypher? There's been a couple that have come out but tbh I miss your cyphers. I always found it awesome that you got some bigger names up to cypher 3. I'd love to see a 4th with more people you've come accross the years. I followed you roughly 5 years ago and keep fingers crossed we get another one soon. Also would be nice to see some familiar faces on a cypher too, even if it's the same exact people it'd be cool to see how much improvement there's been over the years

Totally true give it a few tries wasn't crazy about it in first run.. I guess a Lil shocked by the singing and wasn't listening to the message. On the 2nd run thru, LOVE this song. Great all around just have to get over shock of style lol
Its always amused me that Tom says he hates the labels and the music industry and that he doesn't need them... But he's on Spotify and RU-vid.... 20% of Spotify is owned by Sony, BMG, and Warner...the labels makes hundreds of millions a year off Spotify, and thus make money off artists like Tom. Not to mention that RU-vid is the biggest music distributor on the planet...so how is it NOT part of the music industry!? lol
He is independent and can’t be cancelled. Just like Dax. They have the freedom to say whatever they want or feel. Being owned by labels means they can cancel you.
you do realize he sells physical only albums right? and that he's talked about this point your making before, he's literally said that most of his money is made through merch and CD sales. he just uses music platforms for promotion, and RU-vid isn't a label it's a platform so you're point doesn't stand.
