You shoud react to Awadama Fever! BABYMETAL's critics accused them of making bubblegum pop-metal with squeaky high pitched voices ... so their response, Awadama Fever - a song about bubblegum. But this isn't any old bubblegum - it's a "mint flavoured time machine". BxMxC is such a heavy song and Su-metal sounded fantasic as always and she absolutely nailed the lyrics.

The lyrics are mixed Japanese and English words and phrases. But here's the thing, it's almost entirely a play on words and Japanese slang. The opening lyric, "Sore na, sore na!?" is a Japanese slang used by young generation equivalent to an English "What, what?" taunt to investigate a fight. The "Teki-Na" (敵な), tekina (的な) / "teki-shi" (敵し) is also a play on words, one meaning "enemy" the other meaning "same as/alike as/typical". "Waku waku" (わくわく) means being over excited or agitated, but it's also used in English slang as "Wack", as in something is wack. There's a lot to this song.

BMC = Babymetal Cypher.

"BxMxC" is pretty much officially meaning "BABYMETAL Cypher", but most fans call it "Bring Moa Chicken" because she is a huge foodie and talks about it constantly, even when it's not part of the conversation.

Teki means "enemy" in Japanese. But Teki-na is also a play on words in Japanese (this song is filled with word play and double meanings) where it also roughly means some challenger, random opponent, etc. Anyway, great reaction as usual.

The lyrics say "Tekina Metaru Saifa" (Like a Metal Cypher), so "BABY METAL Cypher" is the most likely explanation for the song title. As other folks have pointed out, "teki" can be translated as "enemy" or "target", so there's at least a double meaning there. I understand why this was a Japan exclusive for a year, but I'm glad it's been released internationally now. You can even order it on vinyl if you want to do some scratching.

Damn i love this song

Now that you've done the studio version twice (with and without the music video), you REALLY need to listen to the live version! While this is not one of my favourite Babymetal songs, the live performance made me respect it much more. The studio recording has all of that digital pitch shifting, which I find very annoying. But when Su does it live, it really works well!
