⚡ 💕 / 🌡️ 🔥 BABYMETAL still have "The Kamis From the East" with Takayoshi Ohmura, ISAO and Leda Cygnus on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Those are the guys we've seen the most over the last few years. Guitarist Mikio Fujioka passed away three years ago, on January 5th, 2018. Starting with the 2019 US tour, they added a second set of musicians. "The Kamis From the West" are Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio on guitars, Clint Tustin on bass and that speed demon you just saw, Anthony Barone on drums. Kano Fujihira's name is pronounced "Kah-noh". She has been busy with her new group @onefive, especially after she graduated from Sakura Gakuin in August 2020. It's unknown if she will still be appearing with BABYMETAL, although I think it's definitely possible, especially for shows in Japan. Riho Sayashi signed with a new entertainment agency, and is pursuing a solo career, along with dramatic and musical roles on stage. Momoko Okazaki has been the featured avenger (supporting dancer) for the last 16 BABYMETAL appearances, including the big New Years' Eve show "Kōhaku Uta Gassen" on Japanese TV.
@@richardbiondo239 Momoko is pretty great. I think it's still possible that Kano could appear at future shows in Japan. There was a point previously when she was with BABYMETAL, an @onefive member, and Sakura Gakuin President. Graduating from Sakura Gakuin gives her more available time for other activities. Of course she also has her "real school" to keep up with. I imagine we'll see one or two new avengers, once they start touring again. Of course, that's a ways off.
@@covid8490 Mikio Fujioka. He fell from an observation deck while stargazing in Dec 30, 2017 and later passed away due to his injuries in Jan. 5, 2018. His birthday is also coming, he's born on Jan. 19, 1981
I'm still mad as hell that they had to bring a "western Kami Band" probably cause it cost less, but I have to agree that they are indeed phenomenal players, I wouldn't say better than the Japanese Kami Band, but they bring a way more modern style to the table.
@@dougtube9870 Oh trust me most people have their opinion on this, I wasn't talking about anyone in particular in the comments above me, but a lot of people are arguing about which one is better, while they're just really different styles of players so it's hard to compare
That was the western Kami band. When Babymetal toured the US in 2019 there were scheduling conflicts and possible other conflicts so the western Kami band was formed. I know the drummer is Anthony Barone from Shadow of Intent. The other 3 are from Galactic Empire but their names slip my mind. Both the regular, aka Eastern Kami band and the western Kami band have wore the dark outfits since the Legend S concert in December 2017 There are 3 Avengers. Kano, Riho, and Momoko. They do not have pops for them but they should. Kano is KAH NO like a crow calling.
Su's voice just become better and better, kami band is the western kami band, they performed in the Us and Europe, we miss Yui so much, but Momoko, Riho and Kano performance is really good too, Happy New Year mates! Can you react to da da dance, brand new day and arkadia? A big hug for you two!
Yeah that solo is from the background band they contracted for the US and Euro tour of 2019-2020, it is not the japanese Kami Band we know. They aren't bad either, that drum solo was performed by Anthony Barone that also was the drummer from Shadow of Intent.
Damn, I knew Anthony had chops but that was on a whole new level! Good for him! Makes me wonder what a Shadow of Intent / Babymetal crossover would sound like.
This is the West Kami Band and they're Americans played mostly for Babymetal on the US and European Tour. They are great. Love your Babymetal funko pop. Happy New Year to you and your family. May 2021 be a wonderful and blessed life with your love one. Nice new set.
Kagerou "Ka" as in "Kart" "Ge" as in "Get" "Rou" the "u" is not pronounced, it just makes the "o" sound longer. So it's "Ro" as in "Rot" but longer "o".
At a certain point, I got so confused what Babymetal was throwing at me, bandmember wise and music wise, I just gave up. Since then I feel a great peace about them, and they keep blowing my mind with whatever they do. Never experienced anything like it.
“Dude, Su looks tall..” Su is 5’3”ish in heels if she’s lucky 😆 Her stage presence makes her rather statuesque. 😉 (This MUST have been a good video for Hollywood...he had to have a cigarette after 😎)
@@autohmae And the way the new costume is styled. It's very vertical. That lengthens the look of her body. She LOOKS 5' 10" but she's actually right at 5' 1".
@@foxgodrecords2752 Have you seen the vlog of Callie in Utrecht day 1 ? I've been that close to the stage too. She still looks huge. It's her stage presence.
Nice and thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 And Happy Ne Year !! This "Kagerou" (formerly and tentatively known as "Tattoo") was premiered in USA in 2 ways. As Su's solo on May 8, 2018 (in Kansa) and in 3-girl formation on Sep.4, 2019 (in Orlando). Japanese fans had to wait to witness this song until Nov. 2019. I really want to witness this song live because I could manage to get tickets for concerts in Tokyo this month and in February. Keeping my fingers crossed for COVID19 situation under control. If the 1st concert on Jan.19 is held as scheduled, I am ready to willingly accept jealousy from the world. In addition I hope vaccination will work well. Then the girls will come back to USA to perform with West Kami Band.
I've seen the Western Kami and the Eastern Kami. Western is more aggressive, Eastern more technical,, can't pick between the two. All rock. Su is still only 5'1" tall for all she looks taller. Riho and Kano are now involved in other groups; Riho has signed with another record company and has a single coming out soon. Momoko seems to be the only Avenger left, though we could see new ones.
That my friends is the Kami band west. Still a super talented bunch of musicians. Su is still short but so are the other girls. I think Babymetal are the only band I’ve ever known who have never made (in my opinion) an average song. I don’t know if this is an option for you guys but you should watch the unhelpful guide. Apart from the bitter feminist parts in it , it is quite helpful.
Kagerou, or how to be sensual, elegant and heavy at the same time! My second favorite Metal Galaxy song. Great great react again guys! By the way, tomorrow is a new anniversary of Mikio's departure. I recommend you see the tribute of the Kami Band, to our little God. It is absolutely emotional and beautiful. See you in the next 🤟🏻 🦊 🔥 🔥 🔥
Yes..like said before it's west kami..3 from galactic empire if not wrong.drummer Anthony barone..the title when first come out named Untitled then Tattoo and finally Kagerou..the second video come from download 2018 the year yui left..the performance still solo until the first video with the choreo..
What you are watching is the WEST KAMI Band...which tours with BABYMETAL outside JAPAN, the EAST KAMI BAND is the original one...for the Japan Tour...They also switch out on some tours.
Next will be Da Da Dance or Shine right ? That Band is West Kami band, Or you can watch Road of Resistance from Legend Metal Galaxy both of Kami band play together on that song :)
KA-GE-ROU Write in Japanese”陽炎” The meaning is "heat haze" A desire that can't be grasped like a KAGEROU. Maybe it's a woman's song with unforgivable love.
I don't blame you for rewinding the solo. I was there and It blew my mind. Anthony murdering those drums. It took some of us awhile to get used to the Amerikamis, but they are great, and eventually meshed well with the ladies. There are aspects of Su's solo version of this that I prefer, but overall I think the new choreo with 2 flanking Su just first the song better.
My favorite off the last album. It's gorgeous and Su absolutely shines on it. And the Kami Band West is fucking awesome. In some ways I almost prefer them. Su is like 5'1" or 5'2". Moa and the avenger there are just tiny tiny.
This song is done best by the western Kami’s for sure. It’s such an awesome song. Definitely an early 00s nu metal vibe. Riff is amazing too, and the Kami’s kill their intro 🔥🔥
On New Years they performed endless rain from X Japan with Yoshiki from X Japan, the members of Queen, and several Japanese groups. Su was one of the three that got a line to herself. It’s on Queens RU-vid channel. Also you still need to see Akasuki unfinished and animation for you
just extra info the Babymetal pops have been sent into space. There's video of it somewhere on youtube. Also something new for Babymetal, when this song first came out there was no choreography. The outside concert Su is on stage by herself freestyling moves. Later they added the rather sassy dance steps with Moa and the avenger. I thought it was a statement of we ain't kids anymore. Moa seems to have a blast doing this song.
Yeah, it was a Su solo and guess there was a Black Babymetal song planned for Metal Galaxy (BxMxC ?) but as Yui left they changed that. Just my theory lol.
BABYMETAL who is the first discovery for me of great Japanese check metal bands that open the door to discover others like Band-Maid, Nemophila❤Love bites and that band that loves sweets lol
Great way to start 2021!!! Happy New Year to you both and to all the Trash Talkers!! This is not a new genre but it is an example of the more mature BABYMETAL 🦊 🦊 🔥 🔥
You did it!!! You reacted to Babymetal "Kagerou". Good reaction! Also. Im jealous cuz I need a MoaMetal Pop vinyl. I have Su-metal and YuiMetal. 😂🤣😂🤣😂😭😭😭😭🤘🦊🤘
The guys from the Kamiband have their own projects so they couldn't tour with the girls in 2019. They played together only in Japan, but for the international shows they had the "Western Kamis". During this period both bands used masks to keep the "uniformity".
Such a banger of a song. I love that you guys are still continuing your Babymetal journey. They are such an incredible band and Su is unbelievably talented. This is one of my favorite songs, thanks for reacting. Please react to Babymetal Brand New Day, another newer one and her voice is soooo good in that one. (Features guitar playing by Tim Henson of Polyphia)
Happy new year guys so I’ve heard not only do they avengers now another kamiband so they have the original one and the west one I’m guessing they’re the ones that wear masks as I saw a video where both kamibands were playing and switching through songs
Since 2019 all Kami Band musicians are wearing masks. Western Kamis did the US tour in 2019 and the EU tour in 2020. They also did Day2 of the Legend Metal Galaxy show in january 2020 while the japanese Kamis played on Day1. For the final song of each day, both bands were on stage at the same time.
Who whould win ? Hideki Aoyama or Anthony Barone Each Kami band has great Drummer, but i miss him face when performance, and now he always wearing mask That's new intro from Kami band (West) in Metal Galaxy album at start before song "Kagerou" Next, BABYMETAL - Shine . Good reaction 🤘
Am I the only one who hears More Human Than Human in the part before they start singing? Glad to see the girls are rocking out with you guys and enjoying their new home 😆🤘🏽
○ NEW INTRO!! Nice! ○ kah•gah•roh -OU is pronounced as a long -O sound. Arigatou for example. ○ Fun fact: In 2018 when this song was introduced, nobody knew its name. A smuggled band playlist had it listed as "Tattoo". For the first year, everyone called it Tattoo. Then we found out it was actually called "Kagerou". In my opinion, the album version of this song is better than the live version. [ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xy1zmNY_fGc.html ] ○ Those POP! Rocks are 'SPENSIVE!! {On Amazon} Moametal #45: $133.98 Su-Metal #43: $104.00 Yuimetal #44: $64.95 Complete set: $302.93 ○ {eBay} Complete 3-piece set (NO BOXES): from $141.80 Complete 3-piece set (BOXED): from $200.00 ○ For 2019 & 2020, the Kamis donned masks instead of wearing the corpse paint. The belief among some of the fandom is that it was an effort on the part of Management to try to hide the identities of the band members. If that was their intention, it worked for about an hour. Anyway... The "Western" Kamis wore black robes, and the "Eastern" Kamis wore white robes and masks. ○ The Kamis at the beginning are the "Western" Kamis. Chris Kelly - Guitar (Galactic Empire) CJ Masciantonio - Guitar (Galactic Empire) Clint Tustin - Bass (Galactic Empire) Anthony Barone - Drums (Beneath the Massacre, Systemic Collapse) But the Original Kamis are in the festival clips from 2018 (The clips where Su is wearing the black headgear). ○ Su is listed as standing 5' 1" tall. Moa is still small (smol) at 4' 10" - 5' 0". ○ From what I was seeing, it looks like between 4 and 6 videos were used to mash this up. ○ There are no Kami or Avenger POPs. ○ The Avengers are: Kano Fujihara (Fujihara Kano) Momoko Okazaki (Okazaki Momoko) Riho Sayashi (Sayashi Riho) ○ 12:24 Not Yui, Suzuka. DUDE! - Hope that helped. Love your work! 😁 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Congratulations on a New Year and the New Studio! Thanks for playing my favorite song from Metal Galaxy! For me, this song shows how far they’ve come, and how much they’ve grown up. Had to happen some day! RIP Mikio-Sama...🥺 🤘🔥🦊🔥🤘
Happy new year 🎉 ✨ hopeu guys had great one u have one of the most enjoyable reaction channels i have found so far loved the reaction this song was dope baby metal still got what it takes to rock the house 🏠 man this song would be so epic to see live
If I'm not mistaken, the names of the Avenger girls have never been officially announced. Fans recognize them sure, but they have only been introduced as "The 3 Brave Avengers" so far. It's been 2 and half year since Yui's departure, and she still has not been replaced. Moa's voice in recent shows still feels lonely...
Japanese only has 5 vowel sounds compared to English 10+ vowel sounds. Its broken down this way. A (ah) I (eee) - like how tree is said U (ouu) - like how moon is said E (eh) - like how men is said O (oh) If there is a 'ou' in the romaji (English spelled japanese word), the 'oh' is more like 'Ohhh' - a longer pronounced vowel So kagerou, would be pronounced as kahgehrohh
That flurry of insanity at the end of the drum solo is what we drummers call a "gravity blast beat." He's basically doing a one handed drum roll with his right hand using the rim of the snare drum as a fulcrum. I can't do it, but I know what it is.
The US Kami band is pretty damn good . Look for the arm tats and bigger arms to spot the US Kami band . Tats are usually a sign of being in the yakusa mafia in Japan if they are on the arms . You should check out this Japanese trio band . The entire band is super talented with the guitarist being in my top 5 best guitarist nobodys heard of . They have no vocalist and they only do instrumentals but you won’t miss vocals . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IfxMi0Bx4x0.html
This song as a hard rock metal song is more bad ass than their typical faster from someone like me from back in the day when slower mid tempo stuff was cooler
This New Year Babymetal performed with Queen and Yoshiki on his song Endless Rain. So an interesting one to react to. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BdxjIl6xmZE.html I also think you guys will enjoy the chill vibe if Brand New Day. Has some similarities to From Dusk Till Dawn. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ao5KL_Oz3To.html
It was the West Kami Band playing in the intro. They were formed in 2019 to tour with BABYMETAL in their western tours. The WKB consists of Chris Kelly (guitar), CJ Masciantonio (guitar), Clint Tustin (5 string bass), and Anthony Barone (drums).
Great one, thanks! I'm totally obsessed about that kami solo, specially the drums one. So I believe you experienced your first Barone's "blast beat". And it's totally crazy... he uses a technique called "gravity blast" to maximize strokes. Nice Funkos you got there!! ...from a happy owner of a brand new full set in their unopened boxes protected with clear cases, of course :)
Dude, you seem to love BM crowd. I can send you gdrive link to some of their Japan festival performances (this is not available in youtube, or any easy access sites), I promise you it's mindblowing. Let me know where I can send the link. I checked your IG, but it's private lol
Great reaction. Yep that is a different band. Still a fantastic band, though. Right? This number is the first Babymetal dance that Mikiko Mizuno (No relation to Yui) developed for Su-Metal. Mikiko wanted to capture the essence of Su-Metal in dance because she wanted people to see her natural grace. Originally, this was a solo dance called Tattoo, or sometimes just, New Dance. Later Babymetal called it Kagerou and reworked the dance for three dancers. A present from Mikiko to her good friend, the Babymetal queen. Here is a video of Su-Metal performing Kagerou solo and with the Eastern Kami band, too, if you want to compare Kami bands. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DPB1MLmcH9A.html
