Never expected to see Every Time I Die on here, definitely harder of a first track to listen to for people who aren't already into the genre. This is one of their older tracks, they were around from 1998-2022. Fun facts - They have an official city holiday in Buffalo, New York called Every Time I Die day, honored from bringing tourism and attention to the city. Their guitarist Andy Williams is a pro wrestler for AEW named The Butcher. The vocalist and other guitarist are brothers and are now in separate bands, the vocalist in a band called Many Eyes and the guitarist is in a band called Better Lovers which has Greg from The Dillinger Escape Plan and Will Putney from Fit For An Autopsy.

Nice pick Karl! That roller rink reminds me of the one my parents used to take me to in the 80s. It was underground, 70s dark wood panels and TONS of arcade games.

Thanks so much for covering my recommendation!!! ETID is my absolute favorite band! This song came out in 2002 when I was a senior in highschool. They were definitely more chaotic back in the day. They became more organized later in their careers. Do We'rewolf next! Much love you guys!

Buffalo fan here .. when I was a dishwasher in college, one of the cooks would blast The Big Dirty by these guys, all the time. Not exactly up my alley but damn it was heavy.

Smokey, you being a wrestling fan, the bigger of the two guitarists in this group, his name is Andy Williams is also The Butcher in AEW. He’s was just a kid in this video, it’s damn near 20 years old now and the band split up sadly….also, ETID are absolutely metalcore, but also a little mathcore as well

I never really thought their name had any necessarily deep meaning. Bands in that scene always just had hard sounding names. And their song titles are usually puns that don't have much to do with the lyrics. Keith's lyrics are phenomenal. Watch with the lyrics pulled up and I think anyone might appreciate it more

Originally from Buffalo NY Guitars are handled by Andy Williams and Jordan Buckley, drummer is Mike "Ratboy" Novak and Jordan's brother Keith is doing vocals Sadly, since 2022, they are no longer together due to legal issues Also gotta get to I Been Gone A Long Time, The New Black, Guitared and Feathered, Roman Holiday and my favorite, We'rewolf

Genuinely gutted this lot split, especially with bad blood. One of the best live bands to ever do it. Hopefully you'll do more as they've got bangers for days. Bored Stiff was always a favourite

Definitely so many bangers! Their live show is amazing! I used to visit Buffalo every Christmas for their annual concerts there. It's a whole different thing seeing them in their hometown

@@paulshaw9953 to me they were always a "can't miss" show. I'd see them in Philadelphia most of the time. One of the better shows I saw them was The Human Abstract, Between The Buried And Me, ETID and Bleeding Through. Another great one was Chiodos, ETID and Atreyu

They're definitely worth going down a rabbit hole! So many amazing songs and albums! Lots of good suggestions in the comments. We'rewolf, I've Been Gone A Long Time, Moor, Buffalo Gals, Thirst... Just so many. And their videos are usually pretty cool. They don't take themselves too seriously

I really don't think of it as screaming in regards to what the genre usually is. ETID was always a little more melodic even in their heavier days (which is what this was)

one of my all time favorite bands. each album had a slightly different flavour, and Keith is a phenominal lyricist, some pretty clever wordplay. even if you can't understand it while listening, it's usually worth going back and reading the lyrics for most songs.

I wish you guys had done something off of one their later records, like "Post Boredom" or "It Remembers", but it was cool that you covered them. They got much more melodic in their later years. Their guitarist Andy is also now pro wrestler The Butcher.

Map Changes is the greatest ETID song of all time. Underwater Bimbos from Outer Space is great too. They are one of the few modern bands to write songs that actually mean something imho.

Their frontman Keith is a great writer and the way he performs his writings and they come to life I like to think of him as one of the few emcees in metal music
