"Dreams" is a song Stevie wrote to Lindsey about their breakup. Lindsey's response was "Go Your Own Way". The Rumors album was recorded during a very tumultuous time in their lives. Stevie broke up with Lindsey and was sleeping with Mick. Christine and John McVie were in the process of divorcing, cocaine was being consumed like candy.... and yet, they went into the studio and recorded this masterpiece!!

This was a Stevie Nicks song. If you decide you'd like to do one of their big hits that was sang lead vocal by Christine McVie, try one of these. "Say You Love Me", "Over My head", "Songbird", "You Make Loving Fun", "Everywhere", Oh Daddy", Little Lies"..She actually wrote and sang a large number of their top hits. And two bangers that she sang double lead with Lindsey Buckingham are "Don't Stop" and "World Turning"

Was this live??!! Holy shit! I've never heard them live and my mind is blown. It's definitely not the studio version. I have heard Stevie live solo and it was well worth the cost of that ticket. Try Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman and The Chain. They're all effing amazing.

If you want to see an amazing performance from Fleetwood Mac...watch the live performance of Silver Springs from The Dance concert !! The intensity between Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham it nothing but astonishing to watch..the way she is basically screaming the lyrics at him in the end is jaw dropping!! The hurt in this woman's eyes after all the years she loved him really shows! IMHO, it is one of the best FM songs there is. It was supposed to be in the Rumors album but Mic Fleetwood cut it at the last minute. Steve was furious over it...a must watch! I honestly can't understand why more people don't react to this amazing song

Tell me lies, hold me, you make loving fun, say you love me, don't stop (written by Christine sang by Lindsey) she is a huge part of the bands sound. Their signature is three part harmony. Nick's, Buckingham, McVie. They don't sound the same without her.

So fun, you guys are fun to listen with. Love Fleetwood Mac. First heard them back in 1975 when they were charting singles right and left for two years off the "White" album, I was 11 years old and fell in love with Fleetwood Mac. 3 lead singers, each writing their own songs and taking the band in different directions with the band backing them 200% on each song. Professionals. Great songs and total class, they always felt like you were listening to grown up music, intimate lyrics. They hit you personally, invoking pages from your own life. RIP Christine. Thank you for leaving us SO MUCH good music. That great band in the sky just got a touch of class. The most elegant and yet down to earth of rock stars.

"Dreams" is a break-up song Stevie Knicks wrote during her separation from Lindsey Buckingham and he in turn wrote the song "Go Your Own Way" as his statement about the break-up. Per Stevie (interviews and her instagram, I too am a big Fleetwood Mac fan) her and Christine were extremely close. She has a very sweet goodbye posted on instagram at the moment. Christine also wrote in addition to the keyboards and the backing vocals.

Fleetwood Mac was originally formed as a British blues band way back in the late 60s and was enormously successful with Peter Green one of rock's truly best guitarists during the golden age of contemporary music. Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spenser were also guitarists and very good ones. They were a force to be reckoned with until the Green tragedy. Christine joined about 1970 and the band had a later string of really good albums with a revolving door of new guitarists. The rhythm section and Christine were permanently in place. Nicks and Buckingham showed up in the mid 70s with a new sound and the band put out two great pop albums. F-M hasn't done much else since - although the individuals did solo stuff (Nicks' the best) and the group got together for various tours singing the old songs. RIP Christine.

My younger brother Andy called me and asked if I ever heard this song called Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. I said, "No". We both love music so I said I would look for it on the radio. He was 10 yrs younger than me. I fell in love with them. I lost my brother to colon cancer last November. I go through so many different emtions ehen I hear it. You need to play the live version of Rhinnan. It's so awesome! ❤❤❤

I think it's awesome that Fleetwood Mac is in your top 10! They are in my top 10 as well. I almost named my daughter Rhiannon after one of their songs which I'm sure you've heard but would love to hear a reaction when you get a chance. A few of my favorites would be: Second Hand News, Everywhere, Tusk, Big Love, Seven Wonders and many more of course! Maybe some possible reactions to them in the future? Christine McVie wasn't just a backup singer, she was one of the three lead singers of the band...along with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.........and she, along with her husband, John McVie (bass), were the "Mac" in the name of the group. Anything from the album "Rumours" would be a good selection...this is from that album but you should have done a track that Christine sang lead on...like "You Make Loving Fun". Rumours is their best selling album and was packed with songs inspired by the relationship troubles in the band between Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who were a couple entering the band in the early '70s but had recently broken up, as well as John and Christine McVie....Drummer and founding member Mick Fleetwood also played a part in the tumult....but we won't go into that. All this, however, made for some GREAT music.....but there were also upbeat, feel good songs in the album, like "Don't Stop" and "You Make Loving Fun"! Check out "Don't Stop".....it can't help but make you feel good!

Not to challenge Smokey's superb trivia skills because he seems to be a master, but there is a weather event called thunder snow. Thunder doesn't only happen when it rains, it also happens when it snows. I imagine you don't get much snow in GA so you may have never experienced thunder snow, but I live in northern WI and I've heard thunder snow and it's a bit freaky. Saw Fleetwood Mac in New Orleans at the first ever Earth Day concert. If memory serves 76 or 77. Back then you had to GO to the actual concert to get the T shirt. Rumors was just out and on every station. I think I wore that t shirt the whole summer. Wish I still had it. Got pictures though!

Everybody is in a kind of somber tone over Christine’s death, and rightfully so. Christine’s songs were always my favorites. Stevie got all the attention, but Christine was my “Dream”. To brighten the mood, a great listen that gets forgotten is Tusk. You can’t beat a fun song with the USC marching band.

If you want to feel that "electricity in the air" that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up, then watch their performance of 'Silver Springs' from The Dance concert from 1996. You can actually see the raw emotions between Stevie and Lindsey play out as they perform the song. You already know about their history, so you will see and understand what is going on.

Christine is often overshadowed in people's minds due to the dominance of Stevie & Lindsey's presence starting with Fleetwood Mac's 1975's self titled album. But Christine was a lead singer for years before the duo joined and continued to have at least a couple songs on each album where she sang lead or co-lead. For me, Christine served as pillar at the core of the band.

These songs are about Lindsey Buckingham for the most part. That's the guitarist for Fleetwood Mac. They put their painting relationship difficulties into music. Lindsay apparently wronged her and had to play beautiful guitar night after night while she sings songs like this.

Stevie wrote this song about Fleetwood Mac guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham. That's basically about their breakup. So, basically Lindsey has had to sing a song about him being a cheater for 40 plus years. Stevie Nicks is a gangster.
