Yes, she writes her own lyrics and it's mostly very personal. This time she writes about their homeland - Ukraine, and the war that going on there for many years. Lyrics - "This house is not a shelter anymore" "I want my Home back" "Don't you make us homeless!"

She writes all the lyrics. The band composes the songs and when complete, gives it to her for lyrics. She has said that Eugene helped with some lyrics on the Micro EP, but otherwise 100% her. Considering English is not her native tongue, this is above impressive to me!

Being from Myrtle Beach, it still blows my mind that you’re from Florence, Hollywood. Haha Anyway, I’d call that kind of person charismatic. Tati is a self-confessed introvert...but she has so much charisma and swag that when she flips the proverbial switch to performing, she’s magnetic. She’s also a great actor. And yes, exact same band members as Pisces. This song is deeply personal to them. It’s about the war in their home of Ukraine. Their bassist Eugene said this about the song: “War... War never changes and it never stops. No matter how much grief, misery, suffering and pain it brings there will always be individuals who either reap the benefits or just relish in it's power. They will drive others to march and kill in the name of... for the sake of... if we look really closer... nothing. It is really hard for me to embrace how people in the 21st century still believe that there is something to fight for on any battlefield. We all depend on a few major economies in the world and their national currencies. We all are at keystrokes length through the Internet. And yet... every day people are driven to kill their true brothers and sisters on our one and common land we call Earth. Then 2020 comes around and there is a glimmer of hope that this might be a turning point. That a common threat will unite all of us and this might be the beginning of a new era... but no. They still march and kill. Every war is a tragedy and a crime against humanity in my opinion. No matter what your beliefs or ideologies are, nothing justifies taking homes, health and lives of innocent children who inevitably suffer in every military conflict. There music speaks so much of being from the Eastern Ukraine and the ongoing conflict between them and Russia. Put yourself in there shoes and experiance the music from there point of view. This was a Very... Deep... Song.

The lyrics relate to the ongoing war conflict in the Donetsk region they come from in Ukraine.. they definitely want all this horrific stuff away from their country and go and visit their families

I think the tea party is about trying to maintain normalcy even if sheltering in one's basement. I think the masks suggest there is more to it though, but I haven't unpacked it - it seems significant that the masks are dog, cat, and rabbit though which suggests a symbolic relationship (maybe cats and dogs fight but they both eat rabbits? Dunno). I know quite a few introverts who have learned to be very talkative, sometimes even downright overcompensating. So I can totally see someone like that being the life of the party. Hello from Connecticut...This is one of their most serious songs yet at the same time this song swings like nothing they've done before . That opening is pure swing and as always Eugene is killing it..He is the Cliff Burton of this generation...And Tatiana sings that middle section like a born pop star..If JINJER were an American band she would have gone solo already..Good stuff...Peace from the Northeast.

I can’t wait to hear what else they come out with. I know she said in an interview that she doesn’t want to be known for most of her early songs and basically to watch out for what they come up with. It's Jinjer time and I will always be here for that. There's only one song left pausing Death and the whole album macro will have videos. The album is a year old but still amazing. So the song is called home back because where they are from there's a war with Russia. The city that they are from is occupied and at war. So they can't go home. Get it they want their home back. She absolutely writes her own lyrics. Having said that, she did say from time to time Eugene might help her out with a couple lines if she gets stuck. I believe Dreadful Moments and Sit Stay Rollover are the only two songs where Eugene wrote the lyrics by himself. English is not her first language and she still does a better job than a lot of native English speakers. The thing that really makes her lyrics stand out is that she pours her soul into what she writes. So many lyricists just make word salad and write for the sake of having words to sing, but she draws from her deepest feelings and emotions. Tatiana is also very introverted, she loves hip-hop, but as far as I know has not done any collaborations with any hip-hop artists, at least not for as long as she's been a part of the band. They've also recently said that they are not a fan of collaborations and don't have any intention on ever doing one unless they see an opportunity that they feel is right and fits what Jinjer is. These are all the same members that were in the Pisces live session, however in the studio version the previous drummer, Dmitriy Kim was on drums. Also: "I came back home, so I want my home back.", that's the line where the title comes from.

Its so awesome that this band got you into metal. Lamb of God popped my cherry way back in 2005, I love seeing new metal fans just being born today! I think its amazing that Jinjer is that inspirational to people.

Yes, she writes her own lyrics, and the song isn't about the war machine, it is more specific, it is about Russia's invasion of Ukraine (their home) the lyrics towards the end "I came back home, so I want my home back" is where the title comes from... Basically the whole band was from a border town in Ukraine but they had to move to the capital because of Russia's invasion and occupation, they want their home back. Edit: also, the bands name isn't in reference to Tatiana, actually none of the current members of the band, including her, were in the band when it formed, but the lineup is the same since there live session of pisces (the album version was their old drummer). The name is actually an onomatopoeia (like "bam" or "bang") for the sound of guitars... At least that is what Eugene (bass guitar) and Tatiana have said, but even they aren't sure, as neither were involved in the bands naming.

Yes Tatiana does write her own lyrics and I read that song was personal to the band because it deals with the never ending war that's been going on in the Ukraine for all their life times so in retrospect I suppose that they are one of the bright lights to come from the unfortunate darkness that has been over the GREAT CITIZENS of the UKRAINE

The song is about war in their home country Ukraine. They want their lives, homes, family, etc, that were torned by war back, hence the line "This house is not a sheltter anymore". Great song and a hell of a video, their best one in my opinion. You gotta do more Jinjer in the channel, they are something else. Peace.

This song is about the Russian invasion of the Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea in 2014. I could be a little off with a few details but from what I remember from one of their interviews this song is about coming back from one of their first tours outside of the Ukraine and being unable to get back home. Fearing for her safety the band arranged for Tati to go stay in a safer part of the Ukraine for months and all the time she just wanted to go home and be with the band and her friends.

This song is about the war in their home region in eastern Ukraine, which they fled when the war started in order to continue to make music. They eventually ended up residing in Kiev, but they have been basically on tour ever since, just make ends meet, right until covid came along. That was their longest break without touring, they had about a few hundred shows in the last couple years alone. The video is made by a guy called Dylan, the song is named after his grandmother which suffers from dementia and you will see her as a nurse on a photo in the video too. The whole video is mostly about the topic of dementia and you'll see why and how. After Holy Roller, which was their heaviest song, Constance is definitely their "heaviest" and probably deserves a bit of a trigger warning - there are several reactors who ended up crying because they could relate so much to it. Another grossly underrated band you might be interested in is Infected Rain and their Vocalist Lena Scissorhands, which is actually a friend of Tatiana. I'd start with their songs: Orphan Soul, Black Gold, Enslaved by a Dream, Mold, Earth Mantra. There is also a song called You Against Me, which has a low quality bootleg version with Lena and Tatiana singing together, but Tati's mic was unfortunately also way too low.
