Saw Korn open for Metallica a few times back in the day when Korn first came out and I’ve never seen an opener get the fans so worked up. There were fights breaking out all over the arena and there were people fighting for fun. They’d be slugging it out, and stop, throw their hands in the air cheering and high five each other! Craziest shit I ever saw!

Korn's lead singer put together the soundtrack for the movie the Queen of the Damned. He didn't sing on the album, but he got a few other metal singers to fill in for the songs he helped write. You should check out "Slept so Long" (Jay Gordon of Orgy), "Not Meant for me" (Wayne Static), "Forsaken" (David Draiman), "System" (Chester Bennington), or "Redeemer" (Marilyn Manson). All great songs. Rip Wayne and Chester

Waaaaaaaaay back in the day when they came through Chicago while touring for this album I managed to get the wig that Johnaton Davis was wearing when he walked on stage. That was cool enough for 17 year old me but then I go to show my friend on the ride home and discover at least an eigths worth of weed in it. Needless to say it was a good night.

When Korn Was born into the Epic music Genre in 93'. I was in 9th grade. Tool came out in 92' then here comes Korn. Music was progressing so much. I still have my Jnco Jeans from back then 😉 I have a very wide range of Genres I love. All thanks to the ever growing bands. Who have graced us with their music over the years. (You both were talking about children's nursery rhymes. I have the Brother's Grimm True Nursery Rhymes book. All of them was actually horrific in nature. They changed it up to be more child friendly. Tho the true nature of children's rhymes are still hidden within.) This was a great Reaction Guys Any Korn you guys react to next will be Awesome! 🤘😊

I can remember when I went to go see Megadeth in '95 for the Youthanasia tour. An unknown band named Korn opened up the show. It was nothing I had ever heard before but I listen to them almost every day.

I have raise 9kids and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Trying to put the younger ones to bed was hard till this song Chutes and Laderrs came out. The were all cut in up and I put it on. I never heard them get so quiet so fast ever. Oh I played in a rock band.

I can say something about nursery rhymes. The most popular are the ones from the XIX century. The lyrics may seam grim, because they are like that. Back in the day, when information wasnt on the TV and not everybody had an acces to newspapers, news was passed mouth to mouth. Children, whom heard those gossips may not understad them, but felt, by the emotional charge, that theire were important and made their own wersions. Many events has theire own equivalent in nursery rhymes, even in more recent events. There was one about Mansons family murders, one about Kenedy's death and many more. PS. The nursery rhymes were to teach children about history and what happened. Also like Grimm's Fairy Tales not the light versions but the real versions Were Meant to scare children from not doing things like going into the forest alone and other things I can't remember maybe not trusting old women with candy trying to lower them. Not crying wolf unless there really is a wolf. Etc etc

It's funny I see a lot of the younger Hip Hop Heads. React to Korn referring to Jonathan Davis's scatting as beatboxing. It's probably the only frame of reference they have to relate to such a thing. A lil background but Ive always took this song to be about the nursery rhymes taught to children having really dark origins. I thought london bridges being about them putting virgins in bridges or some shit. If your looking for reasons I mean most fairytales that like Disney animates for example also have really darker origins.

You have to remember that back in the day freedom of speech was not a thing. People had to be careful about how they spread social comentary and news. These nursery rhymes are what came of it.

The flute is the most difficult of the woodwind instruments to learn how to play in band,and the bagpipes are even more difficult to master than the flute,requiring years of breath control to even be able to sustain a note. Btw,London Bridge DOES have a sinister origin:according to history,when the bridge was built children were sacrificed,and their bodies interred within the bases of the foundations,to appease the ancient river gods.

Jonathan Davis is Scottish/Irish and yes bag pipes are as difficult as any other instrument if never played before. I actually met them in Atlanta early 90's promoting this album. They were playing at the Underground and another local band at that time Piece Dogs, not sure they ever made it mainstream, and yes they were and still are cool as fk. It's been years since I've been to Atlanta...is the Underground still there and is the local band Piece Dogs was ever a big hit there?
