Good reaction. Its a great collaboration - and they have confirmed it was a straight 50:50 split between both bands - although the general style of the song is more Electric Callboy than BABYMETAL, both bands had an even input. It looks like you have the explanations for 'The One' and how foxes (kitsune or megitsune🦊) relate. Mosh Mates or just Mates is how some of the Japanese fans address or refer to each other.

Welcome back to BabyMetal's journey = The Foxhole.🦊🤘🔥 Ok let's be clear with this thing about fandom name. The short answer is "The One" is the official fandom name, unofficially and individually we called each others kitsune (male fox/es) and megitsune (female foxes). Long answer: BM got their own lore and it's kinda big to understand everything, let's just start with the Fox God, that's one of the god of metal who send the girls to this world and spread the metal sound and fight the Jpop mainstream. They took foxes imageries to represent and worship the Fox God (Kitsune sama in Japanese), btw kitsune is inspired in Japanese mythology, they're supernatural creatures and Inari's messengers and shrines protectors, you can find many statues of them in Japan. BM also like to make pun intended play on words on their lyrics and song titles just to have fun or as an homage, fans also like to have fun and inside the fandom you will find a lot of inside jokes and references to BM lore, songs and moments just for fun and create our own slang. And here comes the Foxhole, which comes from popular "rabbit hole" (i guess this doesn't need explanation) we just took off the rabbit and put the fox word instead to represent BM's journey, once you get in there's no turning back. Also the "fox sign" is something BM and the girls created instead of the usual horn signs from metal scene and that's what we use in our comments as well at live concerts.🦊🤘 In 2016 BM released a song dedicated to their fans called "The One" and with that sealed the love between them and the fandom. But remember not always we use that title, kitsune and megitsune are also fine since, although is unofficial, BM got a song called "Megitsune" and came out even before The One was released and making it official name. With that being said, Japanese got their own way to called BM fans or each other when talking or chatting which is "mates", but those are og fans, and for me "mates" got another meaning lol Regardless we all having fun here and there's no strict rule on how we called each other as long as we don't disrespect ourselves. We (and also the girls at live shows) said "kitsune up" which means to raise up the fox sign.🦊🤘 As for the EDM mixed with metal, BM have been mixing those since songs such Iine! back in 2012, and with many more songs such more recently Time Wave, "Divine Attack - Shingeki" and METALIZM, or previous album with DA DA DANCE, but both bands (EC and BM) got the same inspiration when doing this mix on bands such Attack Attack! Also Japanese bands have been using this mix way back before BM such "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas", so yea electonicore and edm mixing metal isn't something new or not created yet. Anyway coming back with this amazing collab, bummer you got to speed it up and we couldn't appreciate your reaction. A week ago they played this song live in Japan at FOX_FEST Festival (yep, a BM festival) and everyone went nuts with this awesome song with just a few days of being released. Today EC released a video reaction over reactors watching this song and it was really fun and interesting. Keep enjoying more BM songs and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥

Dude, I see you in almost every Babymetal reaction video and always being one of the coolest guys around and I love it. It looks you spend more time than me whatching this content in RU-vid and that it to say a lot xD Hands down to your inconditional support to Babymetal and the reactors which react to them. This is one of the reasons for loving Babymetal, his fandom base. And I'm feeling absolutely part of The One. Babymetal Forever!! 🦊🦊🍅🦊

Thanks for this reaction, glad you like it. (I'm a bit short on time, so I'll keep it short). Yes, Babymetal fans in the west often say Kitsune/male fox and Megitsune/female fox, the 'moshing mates' is a Japanese fan name. These ended up being created by fans when there was not as much cross-talk between Japanese speaking and English speaking fans. Language- and cultural barriers really are a thing. And The One is something Babymetal officially came up with later to fit the official back story. The One is actually everyone together: the fans and Babymetal, including the Babymetal staff. Babymetal basically always does metal, but lots of different sub-genres. Metal music in general has many sub-genres. The Electric Callboy guys have their electronic-infused metal and Babymetal can just fit right in. It's still a 50/50 collab though. The song is more poppy than a regular Electric Callboy. And it also has disco influences. When Babymetal creates their music and picks up other (sub)genres they are basically creating a gateway for non-metal fans of the general music genre that the sub-genre of metal fused with. Hope that made sense. If that makes sense. Part of the official backstory of Babymetal is that Babymetal exists to break the stronghold of certain types of J-pop that was dominating the charts in Japan when Babymetal got started. Other genres were pushed out. Babymetal actually had a song called iine which was partly inspired by Electric Callboy. Maybe react to the MV, you might be surprised which genres are involved in that song. 🙂 I would recommend reacting to a live version of: BxMxC. PS I'm a guy by the way, but I doubt you could make that out in any way based on my name. You got so many comments, it can be overwhelming sometimes.

This awesome collaboration for me rivals Kingslayer and Leave It All Behind. What to listen too🤔. Well, if you have a banana split with three of your favorite ice cream flavors, you enjoy all three😋. This was so special, joy, fun x💯. Suzuka, Moa and Momoko are unleashed!! 🦊 🦊 🦊 🖖❤

People commented on prior EC songs that their music was great for workout/ gym- playlists. Let's just say the guys felt inspired and "Pump It!" is the result. For another fun German metal band, but in a totally different style (music genre & humor wise) check out Feuerschwanz (Fire Tail, pronounced foy-air-shvantz) and their cover of The Weeknd's Blinding Lights. Their original material is usually in German but in 2020 they started doing covers in English too, mostly as bonus songs for the limited deluxe editions of their albums.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 🤣. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍 Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same days in the same places in several European festivals in June ?

1. Their metal god is the "Fox God". 2. In your thumbnails or when the girls dance in the "RATATATA" MV, there is one gesture they keep making and that is the "Fox Sign". 3. Their "rabbit hole" is called a "fox hole." 4. They wear and throw fox masks when performing "Megitsune (Female Fox)" in concert. 5. When someone asks the girls some undecided questions, such as: "Will BabyMetal release a new album next year?". Usually the girls answer: "Only the Fox God knows!". Thanks for your great reaction.🦊

The lore is the fox god. The fox god created BABYMETAL to restore the popularity of metal. The fans are called "The One". The One includes everyone associated with the band, including the fans. Good reaction. 🦊 🖖❤

You are missing different time frames. At first the girls had simply no reference what to do with a devilssymbol and so they saw in it a Kitsune. Then happened Megitsune a retelöing of a japanese Folktale that Kobametal pretty much inverted. Abd this lead Kobametal to a pseudomythologie of a FoxGod that brought Babymetal into the World. Only later they had the idea of Tales of Destiny/The One that was originaly considered as one Song but then it was decided to Show the One saparatwly sincevTalescof Destiny was to complicated.

I am so glad I am getting to know you better. Subscribed! I used to listen primarily to classic and Jazz. I did like metal (for its instrumental greatness) for a while, but drifted away due to the often negative messaging. I am now a 76 year old (Japanese, lived in North America for 35 years), but now into metal just because of the positivity of BABYMETAL's music and the positivity of the artists. The amount of effort these ladies put into their performances is beyond imagination. Take Suzuka's English. When she first went abroad (I think she was 13 or 14) she did not understand what people were saying so she took in upon herself to learn English, so listen again to RATATATA or any other recent interviews and you will understand how much effort she must have put in. Her stive to be the best in singing is beyond imagination. At age 8, when her grandfather asked Suzuka what she wanted to do when she grows up, her immediate answer was to bring happiness to the world through her singing. just in case, FOX in Japanese is KITSUNE but is pronounced as (short) "Key" then "Tsu" (as in Tsunami) then (short) "Nay" and not "tune" as in "tune" to a radio station. others have explained where the FOX came from. 🦊

If you got enough energy from this to add it to a gym mix I can tell you I PR’d to Electric Callboy’s gym song “Pump It” 😉 give it a listen! My favourite thing is that they wrote the song bc so many people told them “I listen to your music at the gym” - which makes sense as it’s almost all extremely high energy. Greetings from Germany and thanks for this nice reaction!

And for EDM METAL fusion, well, a few bands inspired Electric Callboy but they really have their own sound that few others can touch. Their recent discography since 2020 is all like this - Hypa Hypa up to Every Time We Touch. Also was cool to hear you insight about mixing! You clearly know your shit and that analysis is largely missing from the reaction scene - would gladly hear more about that
