I've never heard of them. I don't listen to the radio unless it's classic rock stations. I don't listen to anything after around 2001.. I didn't even know these people

They are the biggest! I'm going to see them live in May and July-Stadium Tour. Another heavy song( with a true story behind) is "Wiener Blut". Greetings from Germany

This video was fron their Reise Reise tour back in 2004, no other band shared the stage. This July they're gonna play Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen 5 nights in a row. ~70,000 people each night

It has a few different meanings that could be taken away. The two main ones for me are the Berlin Wall just cutting off East Germany from the Western world. As an Eastern European, I have read a lot of these old European tales of building the most important building/village church or richer house with the prettiest/ holiest young woman in the village as foundation. Which sounds so twisted.

Nice reaction! 🤘And you said it .. one needs subs with Rammstein! Their lyrics are way to intelligent to just hear some blabbering (as German may be for Americans hehe). This song .. a song like Wiener Blut .. you can't understand / appreciate, without lyrics. Educated-marine's channel is awesome for those subbed videos.. This was deep. Till was supposed to give another "scream" at the end .. he couldn't anymore .. he was emotional. I think these lyrics refer to their lives in Eastern Germany - when they were build in, their lives, stone by stone ... Stein um Stein is also my "release song" .. if I need a cry / to let it out... this does it! (and I'm also hoarse for a few hours 😁)

In terms of selling out stadiums they also sold out Madison Square Garden over multiple nights. Put effort into your live shows and you'll sell out anywhere.

Have a feeling this is talking about Till and the band's experience with the Berlin Wall growing up before it fell. Till has only talked about it a few times, but he (understandably) has a lot of trauma from that time.

To be fair, I was just thinking about this yesterday in the context of Rush drummer Neil. If his last name was spelled with an "h" in place of the "p", it would be a very different pronunciation and incorrect way to learn how to pronounce his last name

Stein um Stein is one of my favorite songs by Rammstein. I like the ambiguity of the line, "outside it begins to dawn", because it also describes the fact that the outside world is becoming aware of what is happening behind the wall. Another great song from this concert is Morgenstern.

Please please please check out the who explosive (I do mean explosive) performance on smother brothers tv show. They are definitely doing something besides standing there while doing my generation. Reportedly actress bette Davis fainted after this performance. It's the main reason Pete lost his hearing

My big four industrial bands would be NIN, Rammstein, Ministry and Skinny Puppy. Most of the bands at the very beginning are really more experimental-noise oriented and pretty obscure. IMO it is important to have at least some push into the public consciousness and, with Skinny Puppy and Ministry, at least some level of influence.

Remember, they come from East Germany. You can't easily erase a collective memory. Having to watch a wall being built through Berlin and the borders being closed. Look at the song from this perspective. There are often many layers in a Rammstein song...

Stone by stone is a political song. Rammstein history started in the east part of Germany in der DDR Punkt this song describes the building of the German wall. The government of East Germany build the wall without windows and doors and nobody can go outside the house
