I just read a comment that said "TAMALA TAMALA" which Alamat uses in their introductions translates to " 'Ayan na, Paparating na" (or "There they come" in English) in Ibaloi Language... and that just made so much sense I literally feel like crying because of how much this group and its whole team is putting so much national meaning in every intro, outfit, songs, etc. that Alamat is representing. STAN THIS GROUP GUYS!! IT'S WORTH IT, I PROMISE YOU!!!

And Although they lost Philippines, they got Hawaii by imprisoning their queen and got the island annexed as the 50th state. Knowing this, songs for sovereignty is always feels so powerful. Ekolu’s ‘We are Hawaii’s finest’ gives me the same feels as dagondung.
