I can’t wait to Heal up and ride again! I’ve been watching yours and Ian’s videos for positive vibes bro! Thanks for all the prayers also brother keep up the good work on your end. You’re motivating and hope to ride with you again one day 🤘🏼✝️
Wish i could have made it out but my vehicle was out of commission. Next time for sure I’ll make it with the old 400 and back in the day the serpentine wasn’t blocked off we used to jump out of the second turn into the dunes 3rd gear pinned and just fly
This video shares the current mods on my YFZ. I’m hoping to put together a similar style overview for my raptor this fall ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XZZsh4NeQ9I.html
Heey Pete, good video !! How do you do pov audio ? microfoon in the helmet ? im struggling on my youtube channel.. maybe you can help me out. Greatings from Holland !!
Great video, is there a rental place near the badlands where I can rent a raptor and yfz for an hour to see which one I like better? Silver lake sand dunes didn’t have any last year when I was there…
Hey Pete I have a raptor and just got some pro taper bars, I was wondering how you relocated your key because I don’t know how or where to relocate mine.
Mines relocated to the front left fender. You just have to drill a small hole the same diameter as the threads on the key slot and push it through from the backside. There’s a small tab that sticks out on the ignition that you have to notch out of the plastic to keep it from rotating when you turn on the key 👍
That would be fun but I run my GoPro’s upside down and they struggle to get gps signal for the telemetry data. Your best bet for a good connection is to run them on top of your helmet which I don’t do unfortunately..
@@PeteHager yeah hopefully he can be filming with a helmet can in the future would've been cool to see how he felt when he was ripping the scrambler glad you were able to film what you have
I’m curious I’m a raptor guy I don’t much about yzf450’s which one is better or faster they seem the same in looks and performance idk much about banshees either but more than I kno about the yzf
I made this video talking about the differences between the Raptor and the YFZ. The YFZR is much more edgy and race focused from the factory but not as comfortable and practical as the Raptor as times. Here’s the vid if you want to check it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mi55WWwTxDc.html
Yfz450 "slightly" better handling? So your raptor 700 handles almost as good as your yfz now that's its widened? Please explain a comparison in handling in a upcoming video. Thanks
Because the Yfz still has a lower center of gravity. So will still always have a slight advantage on handling no matter what you do to Raptor suspension.
The YFZ is still the better track machine ergonomically but the Raptor with long travel definitely exceeded my expectations. It’s significantly less top heavy and has that “on the rail” feeling in the corners now. It really hasn’t two wheeled at all since I’ve widened it. The front end ride height is also a little lower and it causes me to be more forward on the seat and over the bars in a more aggressive riding position. It’s become an amazing do it all machine for me. I still prefer the way the YFZR jumps and motor revs in a track focused environment though. Anything outside of a track and it’s hard to beat the Raptor (recreationally) 👍
