3:31, 7:38, 9:54. 3 times that the dibbles knocked off the omni and 3 times that the game decided the omni should not suffer the knock off animation, costing the dibbles hits or a kill (fg dibble 2 shots fg omni on body shot or head shot)
The only problem with bigger/slower dinos is that they get absolutely destroyed by omnis/troodons i wonder how things like the camara are going to survive an omniraptor pack
Part of it is that pounce is bugged, there are multiple times in this video where omniraptor's stay latched when they should get knocked off by trees/rocks. Another thing is that most Isle players are not good at PvP, simple as that really. The amount of players that will just spam alt bites and get completely destroyed is pretty crazy. The finally these guys have been playing The Isle together for literal years afaik, the vast majority of omni/troodon packs are nowhere near as coordinated.
nice video. i find myself roaming for days in search of a pack half as decent as you guys 😢 i die a lot but can hang with this level gameplay lmk smthn 🤝🏾
As an Omni main I think Omni is a little too op rn, the pack advantage is so huge against any heard except teno or stego. Even amongst other carni Omni is so op because of how many we are and how much stam we save compared to others due to numbers. Like ideally even tho I enjoy Omni we shouldn’t be able to kill that many dibble or like dilos that often yet all of seems in our favor
As a non omni player, how do you counter back pounces in a 1 v group matchup? I know you cant afford to buck, because being low stam against an omni pack is just a death sentence, and knocking them off on trees/rocks is extremely unreliable and sometimes just straight up doesn't work at all.. Speaking of, has anyone else had issues with the knocking off falling animation not playing and instead they do a 180 mid air to land on their feet? Like the falling starts but then bugs out. You can see exactly what I'm saying here at 7:38 the raptor and the dibble's ass is in a cliff for a solid few seconds before the game decides to knock off the raptor, and even then you see him do a 180 mid air with zero stun recovery. What's the counterplay lmao, I don't understand. Edit: On the hordetest btw, not live. Also again at 9:54 dibble somehow manages to knock him off, but he just floats midair and recovers and by the time he hits the ground for the dibble to hit him Kav is already running away. Edit2: decided to watch to omni pounce more closely, and how rewarding knocking off a clinging omni really is. Look at 3:31 the large white (in nv) dibble knocks off the raptor on the rock, however due to some server lag(?) or that raptors personal connection issue the dibble does not notice that they had knocked off the raptor, and by the time they go to punish the raptor runs away. (That is if they were ever stunned in the first place, I mean who knows?)
Those game-breaking recoveries could probably be easily countered by a tenonto back-kick. Maybe give bucking the ability to produce an effective kick attack that can actually hurt raptors once their knocked down from the back, but at the cost of consuming a decent amount of stamina in the proceess, or putting the kicks on a cooldown timer.
Dibble players act like they are op and nothing can kill them because it’s a new playable so they are playing so cocky instead of using terrain to there advantage like rock corners trees etc and since
True, but keep in mind people are still learning how to play it aswell so they have to get combat experience. But I do see your point and agree with it.
What I find weird is that they aren't using their strafing ability to form tight, defensive circles, as pictured in their concept art. Also bucking feels like such a useless function at this point, it definitely needs some kind of buff.
@@peasantkyr I agree on this, that one clip of the dibble trying to hit the raptor on his friends side then they both got dragged into spar mode was sad to watch.
