We've just finished a major deep cleaning on a VERY RARE A. J. Morse & Son No.9 Diving Pump dating to 1911. This is the first and only time I've ever seen the No.9 pump outside the catalogs, and it was a great honor to bring this pump back to working order. The pump and box were in good shape considering its age, missing only a few somewhat non essential items (plaques, gauges, till, water jacket, and the lever to switch between divers).
There's unfortunately not a lot of information about style pump, if anyone has any info and would like to share it'd be greatly appreciated.
The pump only appeared in the 1910 and 1917 company catalogs, it was 4 cylinder, single acting, and made to order only. According to the catalog this pump is heavier and larger than the No.1 / Navy MK III but not as powerful, making it understandably less popular and rarer to find today.
