Correction, the anti tank weapon was called Panzerfaust, the projectile it shot was a Faustpatrone. Secondly although German soldiers were issued with Walther P38 pistols, the one in your picture is a Walther PPK
3,5 million ussr soldiers surrendered in the first half year of war. Didn’t want to fight for gulags and Stalin. Let’s remember that. And soviets were giving themselves up even the last months of 1945 to have a hope for a better life
Terrorflieger? A word that I have never heard or read about in Germany as a term for Allied bombers ;-) Or Faustpatrone, well, that's actually what the very first version of the weapon was called, but it was actually always called Panzerfaust after that. All in all, a totally unnecessary video with misinformation or completely exaggerated pseudo-facts. The German soldier was afraid of the Ardennes forest! I haven't had such a hearty laught in a long time! Someone is probably confusing this with the Americans in the Hürtgen Forest ;-)
The MG42 was over engineered, it was to 'high quality' and the design had to be simplified for mass production. A tribute to German design and engineering, but a drawback at the time.
The first such weapon was indeed called the Faustpatrone (Fist Cartridge). It had a 30mm warhead. The Panzerfaust (Tank Fist) was developed as a larger version of the Faustpatrone - 60mm and upwards. The two names were used interchangeably for a while.
