Rare Archive footage of the opening of Pleasure Island Theme Park,Cleethorpes 

1993 doesn't seem like long ago, but it's been 27 years already...where did time go :~)

I remember my nan taking me and my sister the first week it opened. My grandparents had a caravan on the site next door and during the 90s they got us a few free passes each summer as the company that owned the theme park owned the caravan site (if memory serves me correctly). Man, it seems like i was always in that place. I also remember going in there during the 80s when all there seemed to be was a few slides and a cafe that was shaped like a ship. My grandfather would give me some 10p pieces to play the operation wolf arcade game that was in the cafe. That obviously must've been before they started construction on the theme park.

looks like a cool place for a day of fun

Miss this park it was one of my local park as well now it's fantasy Island.

used to go here when the kids were little around 2008/2010 and we had a tourer caravan-you could use your flamingoland season ticket here for free entry -they got a lot of flam lands hand me downs -shame it closed ,was the same for louden castle theme park in Scotland we went there in 2009 and next minute it closed down a few of loudens rides were sold to lightwater valley like the black pearl
